Chapter 10 - Making Video Of Hell

The cave walls were carved by hand and took on a human-touch image. It had different lighting. Light embedded in the walls illuminated the room. Twisting walls made the room into a circle. There were no support columns.

Baran could not understand why there was such a place in Hell. People from the earth could have built it to use later. But where were the people? There was nobody here. The light was concentrated in the center of the circle. The red light filtering from outside refracted and turned white as it approached the center.

The walls had to be made of a special material that changed the light. He walked towards the center. He stepped on a protruding stone. The stone collapsed to the ground. Heard a strange mechanism sound with it. It sounded like the spinning of wheels. Baran swallowed. He did not lift his foot. Imagined the rocks to be burrowed on, the ground beneath his feet slipping away.

The mechanism silenced. The room became dark. Couldn't see. The smell of corpses filled the room. His throat knotted as he breathed, and wanted to vomit. Then he saw two bright lights. These were eyes. A pair of eyes that glow with hatred and hunger!

Fear captured him. He fired through the eyes. His screams were bouncing off the walls in the darkened room. Ran out of all the bullets in his pistol. Red eyes reappeared in the darkness. They were looking angrily. Baran took out the spare magazine but could not attach it to the pistol. The magazine slipped. It fell to the floor and disappeared. Red eyes rushed forward.

Baran woke up screaming. He was in sweat. He noticed that the sheets were wet. He threw the blanket over.

Great!

He had done it out of fear. In a book he read, he recalled that when people die, they usually do underneath them because their organs stop working. The action camera was on the ground. Must have fallen to the ground when he woke up. He was going to clear out the little accident he had made before looking at the video he took. Realizing that he was hungry, he decided to look at the camera after taking care of his basic needs.

An hour later he was watching what he was filming in front of the computer. The camera started working just after passing through the door. In Hell, he saw the small cabin inside the station. The camera was on his shoulder so the perspective was a bit off-set.

The audience would feel as they were sitting on his shoulder and watching what was happening. He swung forward a little. Here is the moment when the creature arrives! He was yelling at him. Baran stopped the video. He didn't understand what he heard. He clearly remembered what he said. He had insulted the creature and asked where it was.

He rewinded the video and listened again. He had a different voice in the video. He spoke in a language he did not understand. Hardly recognized his voice. He just spoke, and that was his voice only there. It was strange not being able to recognize your own voice.

What does it mean? Am I speaking another language in Hell? Could it be because of the disconnection between two worlds? Baran thought.

He texted Ismail. It was six in the morning. Maybe he should have texted a little later. The reply to his message came shortly.

"It is unknown what originated from. There, in hell, you speak a different language, but you do not remember that language when you return to earth. It's some kind of anomaly."

Anomaly ha...

"If I bring an object from Hell here, it will have a side effect, right?"

"This is a risk person will take. The Order does not interfere with objects taken from Hell. Nobody wants to take something that comes from Hell. They believe it is bad luck."

Baran was not a superstitious person. He wouldn't believe in black cats and broken mirrors.

"Yesterday I encountered a different creature. I was in a dark room and I could only see its red eyes."

"You've got to the first boss. Congratulations. If you could kill him, you would gain the right to the next zone."

"How can I kill something I can't see!?''

"I'll send you a detailed message about the boss's features. When you send your video to MIT, your fee will be transferred to your account. You check it out anyway. See you."

As Ismail said, when Baran sent the video, a thousand liras were transferred to his account. State service was written in the statement. Baran last remembered this phrase when he went to military duty. He had been in Hell for a few hours, killed a creature, made him under fear, but earned money in return.

Adrenaline was pumping into his veins as he remembered last night. He was staring at the rest of the video with drowsy eyes. As he waited for the creature to jump on him, he felt his tension again on the monitor.

It was more exciting than watching an action movie. The creature opens its mouth and watches the moment he squeezed the bullet when there were a few centimeters between it. Besides being real, the angle of the camera was great. The excitement was at its peak when the camera went into darkness right after the earnest sound of the bullet.

He was awakening after five minutes of deep silence. Throwing the dead weight on him. There was blood on the camera. The rest of the images were visible in half. Next came the scene of shooting the creature hanging on the ceiling, but the bloodstain had covered the creature on the ceiling. The part where the creature suddenly landed and looked around was visible, and then it fell to the ground and died.

Baran knew he couldn't use it after the first scene. The half-image didn't make sense. He wrapped the video at the end. Red eyes appeared as the boss's room darkened. He combined this part with the first part.

''Video is ready. ''
