Chapter 9 - MINI DATE

~NILMANI P.O.V~

THE NEXT DAY-- 8:00 am

I sat around the table eating breakfast that Julie prepared, patiently waiting for the sleeping beauty to wake up so I could drive her to school. Jessi has already left for work informing us she would be home late as usual, she's a pro doctor, never expect her to be here early.

"What time does Nila's school normally start?" I asked just as Julie came down the stairs.

"7:45 am but don't worry she's in the shower," She smiled. I checked the time on my phone seeing it was already 8 in the morning. Instead of letting Julie wash all the dishes, I got up from the chair walking into the kitchen.

"I'll wash these while you check on Nila in case she falls asleep in the shower." We both stare at each other and then burst out laughing at a memory of when she slept in the shower with her hands on the handle.

Good times, I smiled to myself. "You should smile more," My eyes caught another sleeping beauty standing at the entrance to the kitchen with a book in hand. I shook my head damn this boy and his books.

"Why should I?" I raised an eyebrow tilting my head to the side with a playful look. He walked over in his baby blue sweater and grey jeans looking cute as a kitten. He stood in front of me leaving little space between us. His sweet smell was so toxic I wanted to eat him up right here, right now.

"It's like a charm. I want to look at it all day," He pinches my cheek with his free hand. Before he could leave I grabbed his waist, smashing his lips onto mine. He sighed into the kiss wrapping both hands around my neck. I tilted my head to deepen the kiss, wanting more of him. Our lips parted, and we were now just admiring how beautiful both our eyes were.

He was the death of me. He was now a drug I can't stop getting.

"Thanks for that," I told him then went on to finish up with the dishes. After a while, the sleeping princess was smiling brightly that I may need sunglasses just to see her face.

"You're happy," I said just before sliding the plate with her breakfast just as she sat around the table.

"I was in my room watching a boy love drama and guess what happened?" She giggled munching on her pancakes.

I sighed. "What?"

"I said guess," She growled. I raised a brow at her. Did she growl at me? My dear sister of mine noticed my expression and then smiled like this sweet innocent fairy.

I rolled my eyes. "The boy's parents approve of their relationship?" I went along with her love for gay dramas or boy love. (She doesn't say gay instead she prefers to say boys love).

"Even better they kissed underwater then it got even spicier on the beach, no they didn't have sex if that's what your thinking bro. They French kissed and it was hot."

The house was silent then we heard Micah choking on his tea. I looked to see if he was ok when I noticed his face was red like a tomato. I smirked to myself.

"You didn't tell Micah of your new hobby?"

"No, it slips my mind." She laughs and enjoys seeing Micah's shy expression.

"See you later and please no craziness," I warned Nila while I dropped her off at school.

"Can't promise that though, bye boys." She waved us off running towards her friends. She's gonna give me a head full of grey hairs soon.

"Now let's get this show on the road." I glance at Micah who seems nervous all of a sudden. "Hey don't worry, no one will recognize you in those brown contacts lenses of yours plus I'm here." I squeeze his hands softly letting him know I'll be by his side.

He nods, calming his nerves. Once making sure he was okay I drove off. Letting the music playing softly in the background, I was preparing 20 ways how I want to make this day enjoyable.

"Micah."

"Yes."

I tapped my finger on the steering wheel waiting for the other driver to pass by. "How's your sister doing?" I remember his sister because she would normally come here to Canada daily.

"She's a worldwide model now. Of course, when it comes to her work she's cold and strict but off camera, she's a playful puppy."

"Kind of like you, you're cold and emotionless when interacting with others but when it comes to me you showed more of the side you kept hidden."

"Guess your right," He sighed. "That's why we should learn from each other, help each of us grow into a better person." He said, sounding accurate as ever.

I pulled over to a shopping mall but not any shopping mall. The Brooks Mall Center is like another world when you step in and I'm positive this cold guy will love it.

"Let's go," I held his hands guiding us towards the mall. "First let's get you some supplies for college." We walked into a store where the school supplies were sold. Looking around I told him to get the things he may need like a bag, books, pens you name it.

We spend a good ten minutes collecting all kinds of stuff. "I'll pay," I told him when he was about to take out his card. I took out my credit card and gave it to the cashier. The lady gave us a warm smile before giving me back my card.

"You should have let me pay," Micah muttered while I opened the door for him to go through. "Why should I? I'm the one who's treating you to this mini-date." He didn't say anything, instead, his red ears spoke for him.

We walked around going in and out of stores and going to a photo booth which was fun when Micah was trying to make silly faces. After that, we went to the amusement park. I hate rides but he enjoys them so I'm happy about that.

"Let's go on another ride," He drags us off towards another ride with me dying inside.

******************************************

It was around 3:40 pm when I checked my phone. "Are you done yet?" I asked tossing the burger wrapper in the bin. "Almost," You can say we spend almost the whole day on this date. It was fascinating seeing Micah laugh like that and the way he handled the animals when we were at the zoo was amusing to see.

Of course, I took a bunch of photos so when we head back home, I'll edit them and save them in a folder on my laptop.

"Ok, I'm done eating." He stood up from his seat and then stumbled a little. I held his waist helping him stand, he must be tired. "Nila texts me saying she's finished with her activities and is waiting for us at her school library," I informed him to walk us both to my car.

"Today was fun, it's been a while since I felt like a kid again," He looked up at me with his cute but tired face. I chuckle and then kissed him on his forehead after helping him in the passenger seat.

Traffic was bad but I made it to Nila's school around 5:50 pm. Her school closed at 5 but I was happy Mrs. Brown the librarian took time to stay with her till I arrived. I took out my phone to text her.

Little Sis:

After a while, I saw her running towards the car. "Thought you abandoned me." She closed the door with a pout on her face. "Fix your face, you know your big bro will never do that," I reply as I start the engine driving off.

"What! Don't tell me you guys went somewhere," She half yelled making a huge amount of noise with the shopping bags. "Don't blow a fuse I also brought something for you and Julie too." I hushed her up.

"So how was the mini-date? Was it magical?" She teased.

"Nah it was more than that," I laughed.

"Spill the sweet details Nilmani," Nila whines.

"It was memorable, a moment I'll keep carved in my mind." I smiled glancing at a sleeping boy of mine.

"I'm glad you found someone special to you, Mani, keep him by your side against all odds and dangers."

"You don't have to tell me twice," I laughed.
