[AN: Chen Yu will now be referred to as Yu or Young Master Chen since Chen is his surname and I am only using names in this case.]
"Little Wu." Yu nodded toward the butler, causing the faces of Mistress Divine and Crow to twitch uncontrollably.
Little Wu? What exactly about him was little? Unless… They dare not continue their thoughts
Little Wu was of course oblivious to their thoughts or else who knew how he would react.
Little Wu was a rather big man, slightly chubby with a rare case of severe hair loss. But despite that, he didn't seem too bothered by it, a light smile constantly being displayed on his face.
"Yes, Young Master Chen, why are you back so early today? Have you found what it is you were looking for?" Little Wu directed his gaze towards the pair by his side, his eyes appearing a bit shifty. Clearly, he was trying to be careful with his words.
"It is okay, they should do." Yu moved towards the manor building, his words coming out rather casual but their content not so much, causing the gaze of Mistress Divine and Crow to turn cold.
What did he mean by 'they should do'? If he didn't explain himself soon then this would definitely not be resolved peacefully. Mistress Divine though after a while didn't seem to take him seriously.
She had checked and the base Aura level while high was not much. And though she had lost much of her power she should still be able to handle the majority of those here.
Crow took his stance remaining vigilant while Mistress Divine simply ignored admiring the flowers at the side.
"Calm down." Yu could feel a slight headache coming on. What was wrong with these people and being overly cautious? He put his hand out as he waved for Crow to calm.
"For now, you two will work for me. I was looking for two youths to recruit. You definitely do not meet my standards but your partner over there certainly does 'Young Master."
When Crow heard these words he simply smiled. In his opinion, he just needed a place to stay and really didn't care about the opinion of others. That was the carefree personality his time at the village had helped him cultivate.
But he still blushed a little out of embarrassment.
"What exactly is it that you need us for?" Crow finally asked, it seemed that he had missed something. He did think it rather odd how bustling the city was. No matter how big it really did seem like something was off.
"Do you really not know?" Yu looked at Crow with wide eyes. Did they really not know? Seeing the look of confusion in Crow's eyes it seemed that he would really have to explain. Sigh… Well, it was worth it for that little lady over there.
Naturally, the tavern was one of the many businesses he owned he simply took turns acting in each of them to recruit whomever he found suitable. He was especially delighted when they asked for a place to say, it could only be said that heaven was helping him.
The Zodiac Arena.
One of the most well-known competitions on Urath and many other worlds for it provided an opportunity to truly step into this world of Dreamers (1). Well, it was really held by the 12 Great Families who were The Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Pieces, and Aquarius.
One making it into the top 20 would guarantee one spot in Zodiac Academy off World. The contents of what the competition would entail changed every year so there was no way to confirm what it would entail but one could still try their luck.
But as mentioned before the difficulty in doing so was outrageously high there were at least a thousand worlds competing and this number was only settled after evaluating the abilities of said world.
Each world would offer at least 20 teams, and each team would have 5 youths in and of themselves. So one could imagine the monstrous competition at hand.
Also, the sponsor of those that did manage to get into the top 20 of all worlds, would receive massive benefits.
'With the rewards, I can definitely reach higher… I will not stop here!' Yu became determined, he would stop at nothing to win. Just a little push, he'd already gotten this far.
Following Yu through the front door they made their way towards the lounge which had 3 other youths seated.
They all released an oppressive aura and when they saw Crow they looked like Lions that had found a new creature to prey on. Crow let out a smile but before he could introduce himself a teen at the side spoke softly but still audible enough for everyone to hear.
"Trash."
Crow froze looking towards the youth that had spoken. But unexpectedly he didn't act simply smiling, even Mistress Divine was surprised that he didn't go into a fit of rage.
"Hi I am Crow as in Mysterious, and you are?"
"Hmph!"
"Now now, play nice. You will all have to live together in harmony for the next few months or so, you best get along." Yu let out a light chuckle. It seemed he loved to see the world burn.
"Crow, this lad over here is Dust Gold, He is in Tier 1 of the Structural Realm or 2nd Layer." Chen Yu introduced the youths in the spacious room first addressing the one Crow was in a scuffle with.
After the brief introduction, he learned the names of the other two Mary Silver, and Rudi Valentine and they were also in the First Tier of the 2nd Layer.
"Mister Yu, these two are a waste of time." Mary who had been standing is a corner caressing her spear suddenly spoke up. She did not seem to be trying to create enmity and was genuinely sharing her opinion which caused Crow to be slightly amused.
"Oh, what makes you say that?" Crow and Young Master Chen happened to exclaim at the same time causing them to look at each other awkwardly before turning their attention back to Mary.
"He already looks 16 yet not have an ounce of Aura in his body. Also little Miss Yellow over there clearly doesn't take you very seriously." Mary spoke, her words as sharp as the spear she held.
Chen Yu was about to speak when Crow stepped forward walking in Mary's direction. When he got to the 5 feet mark he stopped knowing that if he took another step forward he would likely lose his head. These people didn't seem like the type to hesitate when they killed. Every strike, decisive.
"3 Months, and I promise you'll fall for me." Crow held his chin appearing to be deep in thought before finally saying words that almost cause Yu along with everyone else in the room, including Mary, to lose their footing.
Mary first blushed before it really hit her what he just said causing her expression to turn cold. She looked like she had found the next target for her murder.
"Alright all right. Let me lead you to your room." Chen Yu quickly stepped in dragging Crow away before he said anything else detrimental.
Did he not value his life? He rubbed his temple, it seems this one will be a bother.
Crow was forced to follow Chen Yu around. He really didn't know why he said it but she seemed to emit a certain kind of aura that made him sure that she was one of his people. It was the same aura he sometimes felt emitting off Mistress Divine.
Since he had seen it he would make sure that she was forced to follow him.
Walking around the estate manor. It was really a beautiful place and was quite big at least everyone would be able to own their own space.
Walking around he realized he had underestimated the size of the estate. There was no way this place was possibly smaller than 5 acres of land. Ranging from the enormous kitchen to the Servant quarters and the Warehouses themselves. Everything was quite large making Crow to feel rather depressed.
He had also noticed that Mistress Divine didn't follow him so he was even more annoyed by this place. How could one manage to make even their home feel so busy?
And the scenery was quite beautiful as well, the theme of white and gold clearly being constant. Eventually, they reached a large room whose doors seemed to be painted white. No it seemed that that was the natural color of the wood they used.
The room was rather big, not too far off from a two-room suite in and of itself. It seems that he had brought him to this room in consideration that he might share a place with Mistress Divine.
