Crow moved around taking it all in with a wide grin on his face, it seemed he couldn't get enough till he finally sighed, settling at a window sill.
He was feeling quite lost, he wasn't sure exactly what it was, he was meant to feel. He didn't understand why he was able to smile, and he didn't know why he was fascinated with exploring more than he was worried about his family.
Was he heartless? But then again maybe that was just human nature. Seeking the unknown that is.
He felt rather lonely. He wasn't exactly close with Mistress Divine. For one he didn't exactly trust her, he was just trying his best to maintain that façade. To keep deceiving those around him till he could finally deceive himself.
Of course, little did he know, that Divine had his best interest in mind.
"Hehe." Crow let out a self-mocking chuckle. Jumping onto the bed he let out a grin all traces of sadness erased as if they had never been there. Was there a point lamenting over what he couldn't change? He would deal with the problems as they came.
But what if he could grasp the world…
Crow stretched his hand towards the roof as if trying to grasp something far out of reach, but alas he could not…or at least that's what he thought until he actually did grasp something.
"The Fuck?" Crow swore as he remained disoriented, when it finally hit him what happened he realized the only thing keeping him from falling into the void was the pole he was holding.
"Ahhhh!" Crow unable to maintain his composure in the face of the void, let go of the rod. He closed his eyes as he despaired, if was his death really going to come so quickly.
But he felt his butt hit the ground. Rather than falling into the void, he fell unto the landmass to which the rod was attached to.
"Huh?"
"Haha! You should have seen yourself man, you looked absolutely ridiculous! Man, do you know how many people would kill to see this?"
Crow looked up to see the same young man he had spotted in the chaotic world before. Except he seemed less like a void doll now that he had some personality. He gave off a cheery vibe but there was a clever and calculative glint in his eyes as if reminding those around him that his personality was nothing more than a façade.
Crow of course didn't seem to notice. What he did notice though was the lovable cheery smile on the man's face… But why was it that his face looked so punch-worthy?
"Everything floats in a void. At least this part of it." The young man stopped laughing, or rather what one would assume was his best attempt to, looking towards Crow as if he was looking at an idiot.
Looking at his surroundings, Crow realized that it was still the same world painted in greys and whites, hints of black and gold skimping around defying what it meant for an object to have color.
Debris of what could only have been destroyed world floated around. Some were as small as the landmass he sat on and others seemingly great enough to swallow a galaxy. Of course, this was just an illusion.
Then there was the void, while it might be accurate to call it black it felt less like color and more like a break in space. As if reality had somehow entered into an error, yet forgotten to reboot itself. He couldn't comprehend it.
"Who are you?" Crow was frustrated, but no one was thinking about the laws of physics when their lives were in danger.
But he was curious, he had seen this man before but at that point, it seemed like the world was unstable. Was that what he meant by it wasn't time? He kept quiet awaiting an answer.
"Sigh, just someone who is destined to repeat their failure. Come with me." The man held a self-mocking smile as if remembering something unpleasant.
But the same as before no one could really see his eyes due to the silver hair that rest over it. With a pull of space, Crow was dragged along by an unrecognized force towards The Silver-haired youth who flew around unfettered. Seemingly unaffected by the world's laws. Not that this place had any.
"I meant your name." Crow remained vigilant, though he realized it was futile considering how the man had the ability to move him against his will.
"My Enemies call me Nightmare… My friends call me Dreame." Dreame let out a mysterious smile.
"Alright Nightmare, what do you want." Crow did not give a thought towards provoking him. Since he was given an option between two names he would use the one he preferred.
"Brat." Dreame's brows twitched.
"Idiot."
"…"
"Don't tell me you simply brought me here to have someone to talk to?" Crow having realized that the man had no intention to harm him finally asked another question, well more like he went out of his way to get on the man's nerves.
"You know my original plan was to help you but now I am not so sure." Dreame held his hand to his chest as he feigned a pained expression.
"Spare me the drama. What do you mean by help me?" Crow looked towards Dreame suspiciously.
"If you form your first Void Point in your eyes you'll cripple yourself." Dreame immediately became serious, dropping the act.
"…What do you mean?" Crow was shocked, first of all, how did he know where he wanted to form his Void Point?
"I am sure Divine told you that your Void Points though constructed in your body are what connects you to the Structural Plane."
Crow mused, he had indeed heard her yap on about something like this, then again he wasn't paying much attention at the time.
Unlike what might be depicted in novels and movies alike, true cultivation was simply a sort of symbiotic relationship with the heavens if one were to strip it to the bare bones.
One cannot fight the heavens, because to begin with the power you cultivate is made available by it. Or at least this is true at this point in Crow's journey.
The world gives you a 'Character' or rather acknowledges the 'Character' formed through the successful creation of your World Point. This character interacts with the Structural plane allowing you to influence your surroundings with it.
Every path is unique, every law is unique. While a flame can be similar to another, none are exactly the same. The red flames you get from wood are quite docile in comparison to the blue flames born from the combustion of hydrogen. They are similar, in that they are both flames and are both dangerous but, one is extremely volatile and the other can be considered docile in comparison.
The world incorporates these Characters birthing new laws and you, in turn, gain greater power through cultivation. Of course the greater the path the greater the tribulation.
"If your Void Points are crippled this may damage your World Point causing cracks in your foundation. Your overall grade as a warrior will fall."
"Okay but how does this relate to placing my void points in my eyes, crippling me?" Crow finally said after a moment of contemplation.
