Another plan emerged, but it was such a daring one that no one actually wanted to make it a reality. They could lure the shark to the surface and try to kill it. They had some whaling harpoons and they were big enough that they could reliably pierce the eye of the shark.
Another option was just letting the shark do what it did without paying any attention towards it. They would have a hard time, with not too much food in their hold and the men being exhausted after weeks and weeks of hard work.
Myorka said she had a third plan, but she didn't want to disclose it to anyone.
