Serenica tried her best to forget that she knew Ed. It was quite difficult. The man had his own special style of explaining things. He was so full of scientific fervor that he'd often get downright emotional about what he was saying and use intense words that made Serenica feel like she was hearing about the turmoils of a particularly dramatic love affair.
Perhaps science was indeed a love affair to Ed. He put as much thought into the subject at hand as many ordinary men put into courting their women. As he moved onto explaining how little humans knew about their own bodies, an inner fire lit his eyes and caught onto Serenica's soul as well. It sounded so comforting. To think that she was not, in fact, alone with her lack of knowledge, it was a source of relief for her.
