as he sat at his desk alone his professional demeanor slipping away it was just him Peter plain old him dr off the clock after his final patient he heard a knock at the door.

he called out "come in"

amy looking angry appeared "dr Langford "

he lazily interrupted "peter please I'm not in session "

she scrunched up her face scrutinizing his attitude " ok Peter why can't simon leave? "

he let out a deep sigh "amy can I call u amy?"

amy sat exhausted and nodded.

"ok amy can I explain what I specialize in?"

she just nodded curiosity taking over.

"I'm a psychiatrist but I specialize in trauma specifically dealing with trafficked people.....look I do care in fact as a friend I will tell you something but this is off record.....its about my wife patrallia she was trafficked and I spent all efforts to send her to every hospital every psychologist. I spared no expense nearly going broke in the process yet no one cured her,medication after medication she just became worse...until eventually she took her own life....so see I'm not a quack doctor I really do want to help simon"

she looked at him apologetically and said "sorry I'm so sorry....I respect that and I will co operate it's just I get scared you know...it wasn't easy before "

he nodded understanding he gave her advice

"look amy damaged people cling on to something for some a drug a computer game or a person and in your case it manifested into an obsession....for the meantime avoid mentioning Graham or visiting his grave in fact let simon see all you want is him just until we get a good grasp of what needs to be done "

she affirmed that she understood and took her leave waiting to see simon after his meds wore off.

dr Langford sat back reclining in his chair remembering one session which worked on his wife but unfortunately he couldn't cope knowing what happened to her and made a grave mistake trusting anyone else with her.

5 years earlier

she sat nervously nothing ever worked..she was worn out and finally he agreed to see her.

she only trusted him.

"mrs Langford please come in"

she smiled at the professional decorum and replied "dont mind if I do mr Langford "

he turned as she sat on the couch that contained many patients secrets and trauma and spoke directly "mrs Langford please we cannot divert this session, I agreed under professional tearms..that means all protocols and rules apply to you as well as me"

she rolled her eyes and nodded obediently "ok sorry can we start?"

he went through the usual jargon consent and introduced the technique.

"so mrs Langford ease into my voice let your mind go back count with me....10....9...8...7

...6....5....4.....3...2...1 and tell me when the first incident happened and where?"

she could hear a voice guiding her to the memories long forgotten and supressed.

she was a little girl but 7 years old and she played in a park nearby her house with her sister Patricia.

patrallia and Patricia were well known in their country due to the events about to unfold...possibly the most horrific crime in Czech since 100years.

both girls were kidnapped and trafficked never found again.

"please don't resist patrallia come on tell me..."

"I was captured and so was Patricia the men were huge they looked like Scandinavians I hate thier blond hair....he took her away and I heard he screaming....I was alone and this guy pulled my hair then he did it....I was on so much pain I couldn't walk....he threw me in a shower and then it all began daily a different person then the shower....I was almost dead.

they carted me off to America when I was 13 to marry a guy and he was nice at first but then I got pregnant and he had no use for me so that's how I met caroline"

he ease her back saying to forget the past and the lock box activated.after 10 sessions going the same way she woke up unaware of that part of her life only remembering parts .

after the 3rd week he had to tell the truth

"patrallia I can't do it....its too personal it being you...I love you so much and I can't hear this because I will never forget "

she looked lost and the risks outweighing the benefits weighed heavily on his mind...if something triggers the memory they all come back and that is catastrophic to the mind.

but he'd been perfecting the technique....he was so close to perfection it was tangible.

if only he knew then he shouldn't have let her on the meds they prescribed as it interferes with the very part of the brain he locked
