he was a pioneer in his field and true to his word he almost completely cured simon the stubborn last memory almost entirely forgotten.
he felt a deep satisfaction in curing people it made losing patrallia that bit more palatable.
he was lost in his thoughts as the door knocked and in walked simon his complete success story.
and he sat on the sofa staring blankly
he raised his head and stared directly into dr Langford's eyes "peter I'm really ready to move on now....I thought long and hard about it and I think I can live with knowing my family are the ones who sold me to traffickers because honestly I have my own family now and thats all that matters and all I need....but I will be sad to not see you every week"
dr Langford unprofessionally teared up see simon finally take his own life head on. to him simon was more than a patient he was a friend too
"simon to be completely honest you were ready a few months ago you just had to realise it yourself...you can accomplish anything you set your mind to and as for not seeing me are you kidding invite me for dinner I'm there....ask me to coffee I'm in dont worry you'll be locking me out soon"
he laughed as did simon they finished what was to be thier final meeting as patient and doctor.
he arrived home to a very distraught amy he rushed in to see why she was screaming
"what happened amy?"
as he looked he saw his 11month old daughter blue as anything he got to work doing CPR and after 20minutes before the ambulance arrived he got her breathing.
albeit weakly but still he turned to amy and pulled her along carrying Noah.
"miss did she fit for long?"
amy shook her head and explained about the temperature spike ,they informed her this can happen as a one off and she felt abot relieved but still, her daughter stopped breathing and if simon didn't come home that moment what could of happened didn't bare thinking about.
they arrived at the ER and the doctor ran tests she seemed ok now.
"amy try not to worry huh....it happens in life we are tested yh but I came on the right time as was ment to happen calm now....you take Noah home to mum and come back I will wait with Sarah ok babe?"
she felt guilty but Hospital was no place for noah.
as she left he exhaled exhausted from the day his life always had tests but he was testament to how one could survive make mistakes and move forward.
