The two girls were standing at the living room under the scrutinizing gaze of Mrs. Singhania, she just stared at the two skeptically. "What were you two doing?"
"D–dancing!" Shanaya answered in her trembling voice.
An agitated sigh escaped from her lips as Mrs. Singhania heard her daughter's answer, she's literally shocked. "Like that? You're gonna get married very soon for god sake—"
"I'm sorry, M–mom." The girl ask for forgiveness meekly with her head held down.
Naina looked at the another girl who was already at the verge of tears, and another sigh left from her lips, "And what about you Tara, since when did you started to behave like her?
You know very well about how conservative your in law's are. When did you started to behave like this?"
The girl shivered as she heard her aunt's rebuking words, tears rolled out of her eyes.
"I.. I am so.. sorry chachi."
"It's fine, don't behave like this next time. Always remember that, you belongs from one of the elite family & also gonna get married in the elite families of this country." Naina reminded them about their in law's.
"Yeah," They nod their heads furiously.
Naina wanted to lecture them for some more time but she stopped as she heard footsteps behind, someone entered inside with a big smile. "Good evening, aunty."
A big smile plastering on her face Naina turned and walked towards the young man who was standing now in the living room.
"Good evening, Kartick!" She greet him cheerfully before pulling him with her to meet the girls who were now standing with the sweetest smile plastered on their faces.
Kartick Roy, the CEO of Roy Group and the well known hottie in the city, and Tara's boyfriend.
They are in relationship for one year and recently decided to make their relationship offical.
"How are you, aunty?" The guy asked Mrs. Singhania about her well being while diverting the lady.
Naina smiled before replying, "I'm fine, what about you? Today I heard from your mother about your extremely busy & packed up schedule."
Kartick nod lightly, "Yeah, I'm fine. And you heard it right, I'm a little busy nowadays."
He walked towards Tara and reached out the bouquet of roses for his girlfriend, Tara looked up at him with a shy smile and took it from his hand.
"You two talk here, I'll send coffee for you." Mrs. Singhania said before pulling Shanaya with her to give the two some privacy.
Kartick sat beside Tara while looking at her, she has her specks over her eyes.
Tara was not as beautiful as her elder sister, she's a shy, timid and very common looking girl.
She looked at him questionably as she noticed his stares on her face, "What happened?"
"You didn't informed about your arrival, I'm mad at you." The man mumbled in a childish manner.
Tara felt a little nervous, she blinked her eyes for a few times before replying him, "Actually, I just returned to take something and will leave tomorrow night again, that's why I didn't informed you."
A frown appeared on his face as Kartick heard her explanation, "You're leaving again?"
Tara nod while pursing her lips, "Yeah, my exams are starting from the day after tomorrow. It'll continue for the next few days, I'll return on next Saturday." She quietly told him about her upcoming exams.
She's completing her post graduation in abroad, being a brilliant student she has completed her total study in abroad. She returns home very rarely.
Kartick just nod in understanding, he didn't said anything else. He knows about her studious nature, he also had seen her marksheet, she's indeed a very brilliant student.
Kartick and Tara first met each other at one of their common friend's wedding, the moment he saw her he was instantly drawned towards her.
She's not beautiful and stylish like the other girls, but different.
Not sexy but sweet, not arrogant but humble, not rude but polite and respectful.
Not hot but alluring, there's something which pulled him towards her. They became friends instantly and after around two months of courting he proposed her.
Tara touched the side of his face noticing his gloomy expression. "I'm sorry!!" She said with a guilty look while her eyes turned misty.
Kartick put his hand over her hand and looked in her eyes wiping the tears.
"This sorrys and tears won't work these time, promise me, you'll spend all your time with me after returning. I've so many plans, so many wishes which I want to fulfill with my girl." The man kissed her nose while reaching his hand out to get the promise.
"Promise." A slow smile appeared on her face as Tara put her free hand over his palm.
Kartick nodded in satisfaction, and the gloominess vanished in a moment.
Tara leaned her head on his shoulder and hugged his arm as they sat together, "Why are you working so much?" She asked in a worried tone.
The man just gripped her hand more tighter, he loves it when she worries for him, "Because I am gonna get married very soon, so I need to earn money to provide a luxurious life to my wife." Tara felt her heart clenched as she listened his reason.
"Really? Whose the bride?" She asked suddenly with a confused look on her face.
"There's someone whom I fell in love with." Kartick said with a dreamy look in his eyes. But the next moment he felt a pair of hands encircled his neck.
Tara gripped his neck as if she was going to strangle him, "Baby, do you really wanna kill your man?" He asked dramatically acting pitiful as if he's really dying.
"Think about anyone else and I'll really strangle you." Tara left his neck after threatening him sternly, she stood up but the next moment Kartick pulled her in his embrace.
The two stared at each other affectionately before he kissed her cheeks, "I love you !!"
"I love you too !!"

The two spend some quality time together before joining the family for dinner. Kartick sat beside Tara and served her dinner ignoring the stares from the mother & daughter.
Naina smiled seeing their lovey doveyness, whereas Shanaya just controlled her urge to roll her eyes off, she just don't know why, but she don't like the guy.
Whenever she sees him, she feels like the man snatched her sister from her.
"Naya, why aren't you eating?" Shanaya broke out of her daze as her mother's question reached her ears, she concealed her thoughts quickly and smiled, "I'm not feeling like eating." She lied to her mother.
Naina just smiled knowingly, "Hmm, I can understand."
"Are you missing brother-in-law, by any chance?" Tara teased her with a meaningful look. "No, just irritated with your pda." She replied annoyedly resulting them to laugh loudly.
"Kartick, we have decided to hold your engagement after Shanaya & Suhas. Its also Tara's birthday in two weeks, so do you have any problem if we held the engagement party that night?" Naina asked the two with a big & expectant smile.
Kartick looked at Tara who was already looking at him and raised his brows gesturing for her to answer.
The girl stayed quite before nodding lightly.
"We don't have any problem, we are ready." He replied to the lady with full confidence.
"Fine then, I'll talk with your parents." Naina said in seemingly smiling manner, she was totally satisfied with the answer.
They finished dinner quietly with some light conversation. Kartick left after having dinner with his girlfriend cum to be fiance.

Tara entered inside her room and closed the door of her room shut before stepping inside her bathroom.
Standing under the shower she scrubbed her body with the body wash.
After cleaning herself to her satisfaction she stepped out wearing her bathrobe.
Beep!! Beep!!
She looked at her vibrating phone before picking it up and receiving the call.
"Hello.... Yeah, I'm getting ready, see you in half an hour.... bye." She cut the call and walked towards her closet to get ready for the night.
