The two pair of eyes met each other as Suhas looked up, a warm smile welcomed him as he stared at the girl's face.
He nod with a smile of courtesy, "Morning."
"Okay, enough of good mornings, now let's go." Shanaya broke the tension between the two with her cheerful voice, she walked towards her boyfriend and hold his hand.
The two quickly composed themselves and turned faces from each other to look at their companions.
While Kartick pulled his girlfriend in his arms, Suhas also gripped his woman's hand in his and stepped out of the house.
Two range rovers were standing there at the porch with two bodyguards.
Shanaya spoke out in a suggestive manner, "Okay, first we need to have some breakfast before starting the day, and I think 'Blue Moon' is the best option for that, what you guys think?"
"Sure, that's a good idea. But what about the bookings?" Kartick and Suhas asked out in union for the young lady to smile haughtily.
"You don't need to worry about it, I have already booked a table around two days ago!" Shanaya replied with a smudge expression.
Two of the men didn't said anything, and nodded in satisfaction before boarding inside their respective cars and move out.
...
Suhas was sitting quietly inside the car and working on his laptop while Shanaya was looking outside from the car window.
Knowing about his love for traditional clothes she wore this salwar suit, but this man was not even looking at her, he didn't even praised her for at least once.
After a few failed attempts in gaining her man's attention, Shanaya turned towards him.
The man had his eyes spotted on his laptop, he was working. She pursed her lips in annoyance. "Suhas, what are you doing?"
"Working," came the shortest reply from the man.
The girl just shook her head, "Can't you stop this work of yours for the moment?"
The man didn't look up, he continued to type on his keyboard. "Why? If you want to say anything then you can say, I'm all ears." Escaped another short & curt reply.
"Huh, here I'm sitting beside you and you're looking at the laptop screen, We met after so long, don't you have anything to say?" She asked feeling a little disappointed, but as usual there was no response.
The man looked up after a while, "We just met a week ago, and also we often talk to each other through the phone." He reasoned with her, Shanaya just threw him a ridiculed look, "Really?" The man nod lightly ignoring her frustrated expression.
Taking a deep breath the girl controlled the urge to fight, "Fine then, you can continue. Its my mistake, I shouldn't have asked you anything." She turned towards the window feeling disheartened by his words.
Did I wished for too much? I just wanted him to talk with me, praise me. Is it that tuff?? She asked herself in her mind, her eyes filled with unshed tears.
Suhas felt a headache seeing her expressions, and sighed. He just don't know what he should do, he don't want to hurt her but.....
He took a deep breath before taking her hand in his, "I'm sorry, please forgive me." He hold her chin and forced her to look in his eyes.
"Its okay, you don't have to say sorry." The girl mumbled slowly while wiping the tears.
"See, I told you, you are looking indeed beautiful in these outfit." Suhas praised her with a playful smile while examining her from head to toe.
"Really?" He just nod while stroking her face.
Shanaya literally jumped up in excitement, "You remember this dress?"
The man nod again, "Indeed, after all I brought it for my woman. How can I forget it?" The sweet answer of the man took all her annoyance & sadness in once.
A big smile crept on her face, she turned to look at him. "Suhas, I wanted to ask this question for some time, are you really happy with me?" Her hesitation, fear and expectations was clear in her voice as she asked the question.
His hand froze on the keyboard for a brief moment as Suhas heard the question, he didn't expected it, "Why are you asking this question suddenly?" Instead of answering he questioned her in return.
The girl stared at him, "I don't know why, we're going to get engaged in a week. So, I just want to know if you are really happy or not."
Suhas stared at her eyes intently, the fear of rejection and loss was evident in her clear and shiny eyes.
Sighing softly he closed the laptop and put it aside before turning towards her again.
touching her face with his hands, he facepalmed her and gave her a lingering kiss on her forehead, "Did you received your answer now?"
The girl didn't said anything else and just stared at him, since she understood what love is, she just loved him.
She never wished for anything else other than him, in all her prayers she just wished for him & his happiness.
She never thought that someday she'll really listen this words from him. Her heart filled with sweetness, tears slipped out of her eyes out of happiness.
A sigh escaped from his lips as Suhas looked at his girlfriend, he wiped the tears away from her face while giving her a reassuring smile.
"Never cry again, I don't like you crying. I'm really happy, trust me." He uttered every word with confidence leaving no rooms for argument.
"I love you, I love you so much." Shanaya hugged him tightly and hid her face in his chest.
These time Suhas didn't replied, he just hold her in his arms and kissed the crown of her head.
...
After driving for an hour the cars stopped in front of the country's most famous, extravagant seven starred restaurant, 'Blue Moon's restaurant.'
Two men stepped out of each car and held their hands out, two soft & fair hands hold the hands and stepped out of the cars with the blushing faces.
Tara looked at the tallest building furrowing her brows, it's her first time in this restaurant.
She heard so much about this place before but never visited, as she never stays here for more than two to four days.
They stepped upstairs and pushed the large and transparent glass door open.
"You two wait here," Kartick said before walking towards the reception with Suhas.
The two girls stood there while looking at their surroundings, there was no guests but the staffs are running here and there to tidy up everything.
Shanaya had visited here a few times, this restaurant never stays empty, so she felt a little shocked to see the restaurant so empty and the tensed atmosphere inside.
Whereas the two boys stood in front of the desk, the receptionist looked up at them, "Good morning sir, what can I do for you?" She asked respectfully with a polite smile.
"We have bookings—"
"Pardon me, but all the bookings for today are cancelled just fifteen minutes ago. We have already informed all our guests." The receptionist informed them with a straight face.
Suhas and Kartick just looked at each other, Suhas took his phone out of his pocket and checked quickly, indeed there was a message informing him about the cancellation of the bookings.
But then they felt angered, how can they just cancel their bookings. They are not just someone, "May I know why the bookings are cancelled?" Kartick asked controlling his anger, while the receptionist just looked at them.
