*Cut scene to Monday morning, so a bit of extra info, Kokichi didn't go to Shuichi's house after Saturday*
Shuichi woke to the sound of his alarm as usual, 7:30 am. He rubbed his face as he sat up, and looked over to his desk. There was a note and what looked like a home-made breakfast bar.
Morning Shumai!
I wanted to make sure you had some breakfast! I made it myself! Don't worry, I only snuck in through the window at 6 then left, I wasn't gonna come in but I saw it was open. You really shouldn't leave your windows open for robbers and stuff Shushu!

Reading the note made Shuichi smile.
Your Koki, huh?
He blushed a little. He reached for the breakfast bar or whatever it was, and took a bite. His eyes widened. It was pretty much disgusting, but he appriciated the boys effort. He continued to get ready for the day as usual, before walking to school. He felt lonely walking by himself. He'd only hung out with Kokichi for 2 days, yet it felt so weird not having him cling onto his arm.
As he arrived at school, he found Kokichi waiting at the entrance steps. He gasped in delight at the sight of the taller boy.
"Heya Shumai~! I missed youuu~!" He yelled, running towards him and hugging him tight.
"Oh, hey Koki..! I.. missed you too.. can you loosen the hug a little..?" He said, struggling to breath because of Kokichi's tight grip.
"Oh~! Sorry~!" He apologized, loosening his embrace, as Shuichi hugged him back.
Kaede approached them, a jealous look on her face. She pulled Shuichi out of Kokichi's grasp, and a little bit further away from him. Kokichi looked surprised and upset at this.
"Morning Shu! Saturday was so fun! We should do it again sometime, but just the two of us, 'kay?"
"Oh, hey Kaede! Yeah, Saturday was pretty fun.." He agreed, looking over at Kokichi.
"A-anyway.. I better head to class.."He stated, walking over to Kokichi to head to class.
"Okay!" Kaede said, running a little to catch up with Shuichi.
"Well, I'll see you at break, if you're not busy.." Shuichi walked into class.
Kaede and Kokichi glared at each other, before walking to their own classes.
Time seemed to pass slowly until break hit. Shuichi left the class to find Kaede waiting for him outside.
"Heya Shu!" She excitedly greeted him, grabbing onto his wrist and pulling him towards the cafeteria.
"K-kaede.. wait..!"
They sat down together at a table for 3.
"So Shu.. how come you're hanging out with Kokichi all of a sudden..?"
"I don't know, he's actually pretty fun though!"
"Oh really? Huh.."
Kokichi approached their table, his arms behind his head.
"Hey guys! Can I sit with you~?" What he meant was: "can I sit with you Shuichi?".
"Actually there's no spa-" Kaede started.
"Yeah.. Sure!" Shuichi interrupted.
Kaede glared at the small boy, but he didn't pay attention and childishly smiled at Shuichi. Kokichi sat down and shuffled his chair closer to Shuichi.
"Hey, maybe Shu doesn't like you being so close to him." Kaede told him, somewhat harshly.
"Oh, he doesn't mind! Do you, Shumai~?" He said, holding his arm.
"Not really..?" Shuichi responded.
"See, he's clearly uncomfortable."
"No I'm no-" He was interrupted by Kaede pulling him away from Kokichi and closer to herself.
"Well maybe you shouldn't be so close to him either Kaede~!"
"Don't think I haven't seen the way you act around him, all clingy and childish!"
"Clingy..? Like you're one to talk! Look at you, pulling him away and keeping him to yourself!"
"Guys.. please calm down.." Shuichi tried to break the tension.
"Listen, maybe you should try leaving my Shu alone!" Kaede yelled.
"Your Shu?! I think it's pretty clear that he's my Shu!"
"Stop treating him like he's your toy, just like everyone else!"
"Oh, so I'm the one treating him like a toy~?! You're the one who said he belonged to you first!" Kokichi yelled back.
"It's funny how you think he actually likes hanging around with you, everyone knows he just feels sorry for you!" The pianist snapped.
"Shut up." Kokichi's face went dark, he spoke in a deadly tone.
"Awwh~! Poor Cock-itchy Oma~! Does the little baby need a time out?" She mocked him.
"Shut up Kaede."
"Wow, you really think people actually like you? Not even your par-"
Slap
"I SAID SHUT UP!" Kokichi suddenly slapped her, hard.
Tears began to form in his eyes as he looked and Shuichi, then ran.
"Kokichi wait-!" Shuichi reached for him, but he was already gone.
"Why did you do that Kaede..?"
"Why did I do that? He's the one being all clingy and stuff..!"
"I can't believe you.."
"Huh..? Why are you acting like he's the victim?! I'm the one who got slapped for Atuas sake! Y'know what? Class starts soon anyway, we should get going." She insisted, grabbing the detective's hand.
"No. I'm going to find Kokichi."
"Are you kidding me? What do you see in that rat anyway?"
"You wouldn't understand, believe it or not, he's actually a really cool guy to hang around with." And with that, he left.
