Chereads / Dragon Wars: Flames of Pain (Book 3) / Chapter 47 - Chapter 45 (Joseph's POV) I Challenge You!

Chapter 47 - Chapter 45 (Joseph's POV) I Challenge You!

I continued to walk through the fields, as it all kind of looked the same to me, as I was not sure as to how close we were to the camp. To me, I simply just saw a whole lot of crops, and nothing else around me when I went through this place, so for all I knew we could still have another mile to get over to the camp.

For all I knew, at the same time too, we also could be right up on it at this very moment, though I really doubted that to be the case, due to the fact that I did not hear the very loud voices like I usually heard when we got near the camp. And if any day out of all of them, this was the one where they should be the loudest of the rest.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I was not so sure what to think at this exact moment in time. I felt like I should be scared to have to meet a whole bunch of new people, as well as the fact that I knew that they were going to be looking up to me, for me to lead them in to war against creatures that were a lot stronger than us.

I felt like, even perhaps the weakest of all dragons, or maybe even a baby dragon could kill a human if it got in to a 1 v 1. I shivered at those thoughts, as I was fairly certain at this point that we were going to need the help of the red dragons. I was fairly certain at the exact same time as well that they were at the very least, some what on our side.

Considering the fact that they too were being attacked by the black dragons, and they also had lost a whole lot of lives in their own tribes too. I still had a scary feeling that this could all be a big scheme, and that the dragons were trying to trick me, to find out where it was that I was at.

After all, I was supposed to be the one that was supposed to save us all, and also the one that was supposed to help end the war as well, so they could be using me. I shook my head at the exact same time too, as for some odd reason or another, even though I knew very well that it could be true, as dragons were in fact snakes, that it was not the case this time.

If it was, than I felt like the red dragons could have easily tracked me back to my home, or even just killed me when I had found them in their camp a long time ago. I still could not help but to shiver at the thought of all of it, as I really was not too sure as to who it was that I should trust any more at this point in my life.

I shook off all of those thoughts how ever, as I saw that John had all of the sudden stopped for some odd reason or another, as he then just stared at some thing that was in front of him. I was a bit lost at first, as then the feeling of fear began to sink in, as I remembered that we were at war with dragons, and it was rare when John did some thing such as that.

My father stopped him self right after John had done so, as he too stared right in front of him. I did my best to peak my head around, so that I was able to see as to what it was, but sadly that was not the case at all, as they were taking up way too much room in the narrow gap in the field.

I stood there for quite a bit of some time, as I saw quite a bit of a confused look on the face of my father, which I was not sure as to how I should react to that at all, as if I should be thankful that some thing might not be going on in front of them at all, or if I should be even more freaked out.

I shook my head though at the exact same time as well how ever, as I saw John turn his head back over to me, as I saw him squint his eyes at me at the exact same time too, as if I had done some thing that might seemed to be suspicious, which I was not sure what it could be, as I had not done any thing at all, much less done any thing near the place that we were headed right now.

I tilted my head at John to let him know that I was in fact quite a bit confused as to what it was that was going on with him at this very moment in time. He did not have any sort of reaction to it at all how ever, which was to no surprise at all to see from him, as I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self.

John had his eyes locked on to mine for quite a bit of some time too, until finally as well, he then nodded to me, to let me know that he was getting ready to speak. I blinked a few times, as I then all of the sudden nodded right back over to him, to let him know that I was listening as to what it was that he had to say in the first place, as he then did in fact finally begin to speak up to me after a few more seconds.

"Alright Joseph... I need you to get your focus on the task ahead... You need to look calm and collected... We are about to talk to the people that are going to be in you legion, and you are going to get to know them..." He said to me, as he kept his eyes locked on to mine through out all of what it was that he had just said to me.

I looked at him for quite a bit of some time, as I felt like I could not help but to shiver at all of that, at the exact same time as well, as I dipped my head a bit low to the ground. It was what I hated to do the most, which was of course, to meet new people, that I had never met before in my life.

I was sure that there were going to be some familiar faces that I knew from my city that I had grown up in, but I also knew at the same time too, that I did not know any of them at all either, besides the fact that I had seen their faces around the city a few times, when I went to go shop or head over to the bar.

John had told me that they all were from the same city, and I felt like it should not surprise me all that much at all, as to the fact that there was a lot of faces that did not seem to be familiar at all to me, as I knew that it was a very big city, and I most likely had not gone and seen every one in the city at any point in time.

I knew there was nearly 20 bars in the city, so that was one thing that proved a bit of my point. I felt a bit sick to think of the time that I had spent at that bar at the exact same time as well how ever too, as I remembered one of the best men that I had ever met in my life, which of course was good old 'Pop'.

It hurt me to think of him, not the fact that he had done any thing bad to me, as he had never done that to me, at least on purpose. No... The reason why I was so hurt bringing that memory in to my head, was the fact that I had seen him get killed by a dragon right in front of my very own eyes.

I knew that there was only going to be more of that when this war was to begin though, so I suppose that I should just get used to it at this point, as I did my best to try and shake all of those thoughts that were swarming through my head like mosquitos in the summer, out of there.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I all of the sudden looked back up to John, to see that he had his eyes squinted at me at this very moment in time. Which of course, I did not blame him for at all, due to the fact that I had my head dipped to the ground, as it seemed like I was not going to do as to what it was that he had told me to.

That was not the case at all how ever, as I took a quick and heavy breath in to my self, as I all of the sudden nodded to John at the exact same time as well, to let him know that I was about to speak. John kept his eyes squinted at me for quite a bit of some time, but in the end, he did in fact nod right back to me, as I finally felt safe to speak back to him, which I did in fact do as such.

"Alright... I've got this... Let's go..." I said to him, as I felt like I was not all too worried at this point any more, due to the fact that I had in fact had to go through a lot worse just the yesterday, when I had to step up in front of the entire legion, to speak up to all of them, to let them 'know who I was', so to say at the very least.

John looked at me for a little while longer, as it did not seem to be at first, that he really believed as to what it was that I had just said to him, which of course, I really felt like I could not blame him for at all, as I had in fact told him more than once, that I did not like to meet new people, and also the fact that I had my head to the ground for quite a bit of some time.

That was a different reason altogether how ever of course, as I did my best to at least try to look some what strong to John, as I lifted up my shoulders a bit high, just like he had told me to do, when ever I was in a stressful bit of a situation, and there was some one that was trying to test just how strong I was too.

John looked at me for just a little bit more time, as he then rolled his eyes at me at the exact same time as well, as I was not so sure if that was either a good or a bad thing just yet at this very moment in time. I shook off all of those thoughts how ever, as I kept my focus ahead of me, as I saw him continue to head through the line of crops that were all around us.

I felt a bit relieved at the exact same time too, as soon as I had seen him look away from me, as I then began to follow in his foot steps ahead of me. I looked all around the crops for a bit of some time for some odd reason or another, as if some thing cool was going to happen, even though I knew they were all going to look the same, such as they always seemed to.

I shook my head, as I felt like I needed to have my focus on what it was that was going on in front of me, and what it was that we were about to do, as that was one thing that had been right on what it was that John had said to me at the very least, as I blinked a few times, and I continued to follow where it was that I saw John was taking us, as if there was any where else that we could go.

As I kept on going, I then saw that my father had stayed behind to let me catch up to him, rather than continue to follow John, just like he had been doing a few moments before now. I saw that he had a bit of a sad look on his face, as well as a worried look as well, which was quite a bit rare for me to see, at least when I was the topic in the situation that we were in at the very least.

I really did not feel like I wanted to talk to my father, but I let him walk with me any ways, as I just kept my eyes on John in front of me. I heard my father begin to speak to me, but I did not turn my head over to him, to let him know that I was listening to him, though I did in fact listen as to what it was that he had to say to me how ever.

"I know you do not love me son... But I do care about you... Me, Uncle, and Padre will be in the same legion with you too..." He said to me, as I blinked a few times as well, as I was grateful in fact, as to what it was that he had said to me, as it did make me feel just a little bit better too.

I knew that my father did love me, no matter how many times in the past that he had said that he did not, and how he had treated me like he had not either. I did in fact love him back as well, though I felt like now was not the time for me to admit to it how ever, as I sighed just in the slightest to my self, as I at least nodded to my father, to let him know that I had heard what it was that he had said to me.

My father nodded back to me, as I then looked away from him at the exact same time too, as I felt like I did not need to be all too focused on what it was that he had said to me. I had assumed that they all were going to be in the same group with me, so that really was not all too much as a surprise to me at all.

I blinked a few times, as I shook off all of those thoughts at the exact same time too, as I kept my eyes focused on John, as I saw him going quite a bit faster than us at the same time too, as if he might be in some sort of rush for some odd reason or another, even though it felt like we might just be a little bit ahead of schedule at this current moment in time.

Just as I was thinking on that, that was just when I began to hear the voices all over the place from not too far away, as they got louder and louder the closer and closer we got, as it told me that we were now right up near the camp. I breathed in heavily all at once, as I let out a loud sigh that I knew my father had heard.

I did not care at all how ever, as my focus was just on the fact that I was about to have to meet a whole lot of new people very soon from now. I gulped at those thoughts at the exact same time too, as I then saw John all of the sudden stop him self, as I could tell that we were at the end of the line from the crops, and we were now at the camp finally.

John turned his head over to me, as he stared at me for just a few moments in time at the exact same time too, until he all of the sudden then nodded to me at the same time as well, as it was clear that he was telling me to follow him. I blinked a few times, as I all of the sudden nodded right back over to him, as he turned his head away from me, and continued to walk in to the camp.

I shivered just a little bit, though I knew that I should not, as that was exactly what John had told me not to do practically. I sighed just a bit to my self, as I knew that there was nothing for me to freak out about. Even if I was a leader, I knew that for one thing, I was not going to be leading this group in the legion... At least, not yet.

I shook my head, as I had done a good job yesterday, and if any thing, this was a lot easier than it had been yesterday at the same time too. I was simply just talking to a lot less people for one thing, and also I was just getting to know all of them at the same time too, so that we know each other's names for one thing, but also so we knew what we were doing, and how to train with one another.

I blinked a few times, as I continued going with my father, up to the edge of the crops, where I could see quite a large clearing not too far away from me right now. I heard all of the voices at the same time too, as I breathed in to relax my self just a bit, as I saw that John had walked in, and there was not a flurry of eyes on him.

As I got in to the clearing, I then began to realize as to why that was the case in the first place, as I saw that there was a reason as to why no one's eyes were on him at this moment. That was for one, due to the fact that there was no nearly as many people at the tables, nor all that many people out side of the big tents in the first place.

The people that were out side, I saw were all in large groups as well, which I would have thought that one of them would bring up the point that me and John were walking right past them, but that was not the case at all how ever, as they kept all of their eyes on one thing in specific, which I could not tell as to what it was when I looked over at the table that they were all at.

As I turned my head, trying to adjust my self to see, I then saw some one at the edge of the table, that they all had their eyes on at the exact same time as well. I blinked a few times at the exact same time too, as I also realized just who it was as well, as I was still a little bit embarrassed to even look at the woman's face.

It was Zoe, and as she clearly saw me walk past, much unlike the rest of the other people that were in her group, as their eyes were all on her, rather than be on me, as their heads were turned away from me. She was speaking to her group of about 50 or upwards of 75 people, but she did in fact nod to me as a walked by her.

I dipped my head a little bit low to the ground at the same time too, as I did not nod back to her at all. I knew that she was still interested in me, but I was not feeling the same way about her at all. I felt like that one night that we had done that thing together, was a little bit different, due to the fact that I felt like the world had already ended and there was nothing left for me.

If I would have known that Julia was still alive, than it would have been some thing altogether different. I shook off all of those thoughts at the exact same time as well, as I felt a little bit sick to even be thinking about her, and what we had done at this current moment in time too.

As I followed John, who was a fair bit ahead of me, I watched as he walked past a few of the tents, as it was clear that those were not the ones as to where our group was at in the first place. I lifted my head up a bit, as I saw that my father had noticed as to what I was doing, as he then shook his head up at me.

It was one thing that I did remember him trying to teach me to do, which was to make sure that I always had my head held up high, to let people know that I was strong. That was before all of the drinking he had got in to how ever, but I knew that he was over all of that at this point, as I knew a lot of people had tempted him with drinks, but I had been there with him when he had told them no.

Even if it was not serious, I knew that he did not even want to think about any of that, as he still felt quite a bit guilty at wasting away his life with the time that he had with my mother, before she was killed by those dragons of course, as I still remember him in the jail cell telling me that story of all of what had happened.

I did not believe the story for a little while, even though I had seen the look on his face, as I knew that it was not a look of a liar by any means at all, but it was just too hard for me to believe that there was a such thing as dragons in this world, as I had always been told that it was simply just a myth.

I shook my head, as I knew that I did not need to be focused on those thoughts at the same time as well either way, as I got my eyes, and my focus back on what I saw in front of me, which was of course the fact that John was still heading forward, to the outer edge of the clearing, where the last of the tents were at.

I sighed, as it felt like we had been walking nearly all day at this point, and I just wanted to get this all done, and get to the tent. I did not like to meet new people for one thing, but I for sure did not like thinking about it for an extra long time none the less either, as I did my best to shake off those thoughts at the same time too, as I got my head focused on what it was that I had been thinking on earlier, about this being a whole lot different than the meeting that I had been at in front of the whole tribe yesterday.

Besides, I had done just fine when I had done that, as I had not made a fool out of my self at the same time either. I saw that I instead had given some people a little bit of hope, just to see the guy who was supposed to end this all, and bring the world back to normal, step up in front of a large crowd, to speak to all of them.

Whilst, I had some guy freak out over me, I felt like he was the one that had made him self look like an idiot, rather than have it be me that had done as such, I had remembered that a lot of people had been laughing at it, but they had not been laughing at me, as they were instead laughing at the guy who had made him self look that way.

I sighed to my self, as I knew that things were going to be fine, as I knew that I had to keep my focus back on the task that I had in hand at this very moment in time, as I lifted my head up finally, as I knew that Zoe was no longer looking at me any more, nor could she even see me either, as we had got a fair distance away from her.

I let out a sigh of relief, as I then all of the sudden saw that John was just a few meters away from me, and he had all of the sudden stopped him self for some odd reason or another. I blinked a few times, as I was a bit confused as to what it was that he was doing at first, as I kind of expected at the same time for me to look up and see him staring right at me.

When I looked up how ever, I saw that he had his head down low to the ground, as I saw a piece of paper and a pad on it, as he was reading it off at the exact same time too. I was a bit happy if I was not going to lie, to the fact that I did not have a bunch of eyes on me such as I had expected to once I was to come in to the clearing.

I suppose that I should not celebrate too soon how ever, as I knew that I was about to have to step up in front of a bunch of people, and meet all of them not too long from now, once we were to get in to the tent. I shivered at all of those thoughts, as I knew that I had to enjoy every last moment I had before I was to do that.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I saw that John was not alone at the exact same time too, as I saw that Travis was with him at this very moment, and Travis had his eyes squinted at John at the exact same time too, as if John was doing some thing that Travis deemed to be a little bit suspicious.

That was not the case at all how ever, as it was clear to me that John was simply just reading of the paper, that I had to assume had the names of all of the people that were going to be in my group. I looked over at my father as well, as I saw him looking over at John, with a bit of a blank look on his face at the exact same time too.

It was clear to me that he knew the same as I did, about who it was that was going to be in our group. How ever, it did not seem like he cared one bit out of any of that at all, very much unlike me, as I just wanted to get in a group of a bunch of chill people, as I was not worried about them being all too strong of people.

If any thing, I did not want them to be all that strong of people, as I did not want to make a bit of a fool out of my self, nor embarrass my self in front of them either. I shivered at all of those thoughts once again, as I then began to realize that I was falling right back in to the trap that I had been in not too long before now.

I shook off all of that, as I got my focus back on John, to see what it was that he was doing at this very moment in time. I saw that he had his eyes at the bottom side of the paper, as he all of the sudden seemed to stop breathing, as he suddenly lifted his head up at the same time too, and he squinted his eyes right at Travis.

I was a bit confused as to what it was that was wrong with John, but I could see that it had got in to the head of Travis quite a bit. I was not so sure if I should feel bad for Travis at all either, as I still was not all too sure if I liked the guy or not, just yet. I blinked a few times, as I saw Travis had his head dipped a bit low to the ground, as John just continued to stare him down.

John kept his eyes locked on Travis, for quite a bit of some time, as I saw his eyes squinted at him as well, as he then began to speak up to Travis at the same time too, which finally made Travis lift his head up, as he and I both then began to listen as to what it was that John had to say to him in the very first place as well.

"So... Why did you change it and put Chad in the group?" He said to Travis, as I saw that he still had his eyes squinted at Travis at the same time as well. Travis did not dip his head a bit low to the ground like he had done before, but he did in fact not have his eyes locked on John, such as John had for him.

I too then squinted my eyes, as I then began to realize what it was that John had just said to Travis. Chad was the guy that had made a big scene out of nothing at all last night, as he was the one that was the idiot, as he had been drunk the night that he had got in to the fight with me, and broken my nose with a sucker punch.

It had all gone down hill for him after that point how ever, as it seemed like I had some sort of power that I had never known about, as I had easily took him down with ease. I felt a bit proud of my self for it that night, but at the same time, I also knew that I did not like to get in fights, as I did not want to hurt people.

I shook off those thoughts how ever, as I then got my focus right back on to the present, and all that was going on around me at the same time too, as I saw from the corner of my eye, that my father had a bit of a confused look on his face, as it was clear to him, that he had not a clue as to what either of them were talking about.

It made sense how ever, as the night it had happened, was the same day that my mother had died, so my father would not have been told by any one about it. I looked away from my father at the same time too, as I did not need to have my focus on him, as he did not matter in this current situation right now. There was no need for me to tell him about it either.

I sighed, as I then shook off all of those thoughts all at once, as I got my focus fully back on John and Travis, as all of the sudden, for some odd reason or another, Travis then began to laugh, as if he viewed all of this as funny, and some kind of big joke, as if we were not at war with the dragons at all.

It was a lot more of a nervous laugh than it was an actual laugh, as I could almost see him itching out of his pants as to the spot that he was stuck in right now, as if he might have thought that John would not have noticed the change that he had made to our group, even though every one was well aware that John always paid attention.

Travis finally seemed to regain a bit of some control over him self, as he then nodded to John, as he had a bit of a strange grin on his face at the same time as well. John just stared at him, as it was clear that he was not going to nod back to Travis, as he kept his eyes squinted at him, as I could still tell that it was getting to Travis's head, no matter how much he was trying to hide as such.

I was still quite a bit upset at Travis for what he had done, so I for sure was not going to be taking his side on any of that at all. Travis was paying me no sort of attention how ever, as it was clear that he had given up on the fact of expecting a nod back from John, as he went ahead and began to speak back to John, as I listened as to what kind of excuse he was going to use this time.

"Well... I thought we were trying to put Joseph to a test? What happened to that then, huh?" He said, as I could tell that he was doing his best to find some sort of an excuse to get him out of the spot that he had got him self in to in the very first place as well. I like John kept my eyes squinted on him for just a little bit longer how ever.

John shook his head, as he then all of the sudden, rolled his eyes at Travis at the exact same time too, as I could tell that he was still quite a bit upset at Travis for doing what it is that he had done. I kind of wondered why John had not just set up the group him self, as surely, he knew that Travis was going to pull some stupid shit like that.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I was starting to see why John did not like Travis all that much, as I was not too sure as to how I had not noticed it before now, as it was not the first time that he had pulled some sort of stupid stuff such as this, as I did my best to just shake it all off, as I felt like it was going to be no big deal, as I knew I had to tell my self that it was going to be nothing to worry about.

It did not mean that me and Chad were ever going to be friends at all, but if we were going to have to work together, than it meant that he was going to have to get over him self, as I really did not care such as he did, as to what he had done, and what he had got him self in to that night in the very first place as well.

I would not have brought it up at all in fact, even if I had known that he was here with the legion in the first place, so it was his own fault that he had made such a fool out of him self any ways, as I figured that I should not be all too worried about it, as long as the guy got over him self, and did not keep bringing it up.

I got my focus back on Travis and John, as I got all of those thoughts out of my head all at once at the same time too, as I looked at John too, as I saw him seem to almost toss the pad over to Travis, as Travis nearly dropped it out of his hand at the exact same time too, as he got down to the ground, and then caught it at the last second.

Once Travis had caught it, I saw him lift his head back up to John, as I now could see that he was upset at John, rather than be a bit embarrassed to be looking at him in the first place, such as he had seemed to be looking at him not too long before now, as I saw him all of the sudden get the balls to suddenly squint his eyes at John.

Unlike Travis how ever, John did not dip his head low to the ground, or look away from him when Travis had done so, as John had a bit of a grin on his face instead, as he just stared back at Travis, as it seemed like this was a bit of a competition as to who it was that was going to get the last laugh.

Travis did not seem to be all too bothered by it at all this time, as I then rolled my eyes at the 2 idiots, as finally, it seemed like one of them was ready to speak back to one another, as John began to speak up to Travis. I let out a bit of a soft sigh of relief at the same time as well, as I then began to listen as to what it was that John had to say to him all at once too.

"You also said that we needed groups of people that got along... So that's kind of hypocritical too, but you know what... It is what it is!" He said, as he had a bit of a grin on his face all at the same time as he had said all of that to Travis. I could tell it had bothered Travis as well, as I saw him dip his head low to the ground once again, as he nearly dropped the pad that was in his hand.

I had not been here to hear them say as such, so I could not say one thing or another about it, but I for sure was not on the side of Travis right now, with the way that it seemed he was acting. I shook my head, as I just wanted to get this over with, as I had thought that this was for me to meet my group, rather than the both of them argue, such as it seemed like they always did.

Just as I had those thoughts come in to my head, I suddenly saw John turn his head back over to me, as I had almost thought that he had forgot that I was here with him, as they usually did not like to argue all that much in front of me, as most of the time I usually caught them arguing with each other, rather than it be that way.

I kept my eyes on John, as he suddenly then nodded to me all at once as well, as it was clear that he was telling me that we needed to do some thing. I was not so sure as to what it was that he was telling me, but I did in fact nod right back over to him, to at least let him know that I was going to be following him.

Once that made John feel a little bit more safe, he then began to walk forward, away from Travis, who I saw still had his head a little bit low to the ground, as he was still quite a bit embarrassed on the fact that he had made such a fool of him self in front of me and him, which was the opposite of what he wanted to do, I was quite sure of.

I shook my head, as I suddenly looked away from Travis, and back over to John, as I then nodded to my self, as I followed where it was that John was heading off to, as this time, it seemed like he was going right over to a certain tent. Of course, there was not very many other places that we could be going at this very moment.

I heard quiet voices coming from the other tents, which told me that they were basically all in there getting up with their leader to find out who each other were, and what it was that they were going to be doing. I took my focus away from all of those how ever, as I knew that my focus needed to be on the tent that I was about to head my self in to.

I saw the front of it, from not all too far away, as I heard the voices in that one were a lot louder than the voices that were in the other ones. I had to assume that was due to the fact that in the other ones, there was only one person talking in there, but in this one, there was a lot of people speaking loudly, above all of the others amongst themselves.

They were probably wondering who it was that was going to be their leader, and once they found out that it was going to be me, I was not sure if they were going to be excited about it or not, due to the fact that I was going to be the leader of the entire legion one of these days, in the not so near future, I had to hope at least.

I then shook off all of those thoughts, as I saw John stop him self for just a few seconds, as I stopped my self as well, as I was not sure as to what it was that I should do, as I was for sure not going to go in to that tent by my self, if that was what it was that he was trying to ask me to do right now.

I squinted my eyes at John, as soon as he turned his head over to me. He did not seem to be phased by it at all, such as he usually did not, as he then just all of the sudden nodded right back over to me. I nodded back to him, though I still was a bit worried at to the fact that he might actually be trying to tell me that I needed to do this alone.

Thankfully how ever, that was not the case at all, as he then looked back ahead of him, and he went up to the flap of the front side of the tent, and he pushed it open just a little bit, and he then walked in to join up with the big group that I was about to be in, as I shivered and let out a bit of a soft sigh, as I then all of the sudden joined him in side.

At first, I thought that I was going crazy, due to the fact that when I had been out side of the tent, I had heard a lot of noise, but it seemed like as soon as I had got in to the tent how ever, it was dead silent, as I then looked around at the room, a little bit confused as to what was even going on in the very first place.

As I looked around at the room, as I saw that all of the eyes were pointed right over to us, as none of them said a word as to the fact that it seemed like all of the sudden, they realized as to who it was that was going to be leading their group in the legion, as I saw in fact, that there were quite a bit of some excited looks on many of the faces of the people that were in here.

It was clear to me, that they did not have a clue as to what it was that they were about to be getting themselves in to at all. I was not going to say any thing about it at all how ever, as for one, I did not like to step up and speak, and for another, I did not want to make it seem like John was pushing us too hard.

There was no such thing as pushing us too hard, as we needed to be trained, and we needed to be trained well too, as I shook off all of those thoughts all at once, and I then looked back over to John, as I was waiting, and I was expecting him to step up and speak to all of the people that were with us in the tent right now.

As I looked over at John, I noticed that it was not the case at all how ever, as I saw that he had his eyes squinted right at me. I was a little bit lost at first, as I was not so sure as to what it was that I should do, as I was kind of freaked out if I was not going to lie, as I saw him nod right at me, as I knew that he was telling me that I needed to step up and speak to the group.

I shivered at those thoughts, as I just kept my eyes locked on him for quite a bit of some time, as it was clear that I was telling my self that I was not going to do as such, as I stared right back at him for quite some time. I knew that I had to how ever, as I was only going to make my self look like an even bigger idiot if we just stared at each other in dead silence.

After a few more seconds, I then nodded right back over to John, as I now knew what it was that I needed to do, as I looked away from him, and I then looked over at the entire group that was all around me right now. I gulped, as I was kind of scared to do as such as I was not going to lie, even if I knew this was nothing compared to what it was that I had done just last night.

I shook my head, as I knew at the same time too, that I was only going to make my self more of a fool if I did not do as such, as I suddenly nodded to my self at the exact same time too, as I tried my best to relax my self, and tell my self that every thing was going to be okay, and things were going to go just fine.

I saw all of them nod right back at me all of the sudden, as it seemed like they might have thought that I had been nodding to them, which had not been the case at all, as I shook off all of those thoughts, and I then let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, as I suddenly now felt a lot more calm, as it felt like there was a smooth sensation in the air at this very moment in time.

I blinked a few times, as I now felt a lot more safe, as I saw a lot of these people as people that I recognized from the city as I looked all across the room for a little bit longer. They all knew of me so it was not like I was going to be telling them all of my darkest secrets, as frankly, I really did not feel like I had any secrets to hide any ways.

I had a bit of a weird grin on my face all at once, as I felt like it was finally safe for me to now speak, now that I was not so freaked out, such as I had been before, as I suddenly did in fact begin to speak to all of them, clearing all other thoughts that were in my head at this exact moment in time.

"Hello every one... I am sorry, I am just a little bit anxious to meet all of you..." I said to all of them, as at first, I felt like a bit of an idiot for admitting that to all of them, as I saw John roll his eyes at me from the corner of my own eyes, as I felt like I had made a mistake. But as I saw the looks from the rest of the room that I was in, I felt like perhaps it had been perfect, and just what it was that I had needed to say in the first place, as I saw many of them nod in agreement to me. I felt like it made them feel a little bit more safe, as I knew a lot of them viewed me as some kind of super hero for some odd reason or another. That was not the case at all how ever, as I was just like the rest of them, besides the fact that I had the strange dreams that I saw dragons in. I blinked a few times at the same time too, as I realized that I was thinking in my head too much right now, rather than speaking to them, as I shook off all of those thoughts all at once, and I then did in fact continue to speak to all of them in a bit more relaxed tone of voice. "I just want to meet all of you... My name is Joseph as many of you know... I want to go to all of you and meet you guys too!"

I said to all of them, as I looked over at John at the exact same time as well, to make sure that I had made the right call, and it was a smart idea as to what it was that I had planned on doing in the first place. As I saw the look on John's face, I noticed it to be quite a bit of a surprised look, which I was not too sure if that were good or bad just yet.

He noticed me looking over to him, as it was clear to him that I was looking at him for some sort of advice, or just trying to make sure that I was making the right move, as he really did not give me all that much help on giving me an idea on what it was that I was even going to be saying to all of them in the very first place any ways.

John then nodded, as it was clear he agreed with what it was that I had said, as I knew now that I had made the right call, as I kind of smiled to my self, as for once, I felt like I could say that I was quite a bit proud of my self now, as I then turned my head all of the sudden, back to all of the people that were still with me in this room in the tent.

I looked at all of them, one by one, as I was not so sure how it was that I was going to start this off. I looked around for a familiar face, that was besides some one that slept in the same house as me, as I then suddenly saw that Tom was one of the people that were in the tent, as I felt quite a bit safe to at least walk over to him, and speak to him, asking to give every one his name.

Just as I was about to do so, I suddenly heard another voice on the other side of the room that spoke up, as it was quite an angry voice. It was also the same voice that I had heard yell at me last night as well, as I turned my head over, to see that it was Chad... I blinked a few times, as I then listened as to what it was that he had to say, even though I did not want to.

"My name is Chad! And I challenge you!"
