Kellen felt light headed as all the blood vessels in his arms burst, leaving one arm dangling down next to his side with the other barely remaining attached to the cliff face.
He gasped for breath while trying to focus his energy on clinging to the cliff as the pain from his arms gave him an earsplitting headache.
'No! Not yet!' he screamed internally as his last hand began to lose its hold on the cliff face.
Suddenly a hot and searing sensation began resonating throughout his body. His blood rose to a boiling temperature and coursed throughout his ruptured arms. The pain was intense but what shocked Kellen more was the strength that began surging through his body like a violent wave.
Feeling the strength returning to his arms that was even more vitalized then before, he began his climb again.
'What is happening to my body!' thought Kellen in surprise as he was easily able to lift his body up the cliff face like normal even under the new force of gravity pressing down on him.
As he shot up the cliff face like an arrow, the blood in his body continued to boil, which created steam that poured out from the pores on his body. Kellen had never felt this invigorated in his life!
He easily climbed the next mile and his vision seemed to begin returning as the blood in his body circulated at an extremely fast rate. Finally having his vision return to him, he paused his climbing to take a look at what was happening to his body.
'What is going on? My skin is a lot darker than it should be and my broken body is healing at a ridiculous rate!'
He was shocked by this sudden change in his blood but what was even more mind blowing was what it was doing to his body. The three times gravity seemed to no longer have an effect on him and even felt like it was lighter than normal as he raised his arm up and down. The veins on his body looked like writhing snakes as his blood furiously pumped through them.
'Is there something in my blood? I hope that annoying old man didn't do something behind my back.' thought Kellen anxiously.
He knew there was only one way to find out and looked to the top of the cliff that was now within his sight. He was curious about the rapid changes in his body but more than anything he wanted to enjoy this feeling of power!
Kellen was overwhelmed by the awesome feeling of the energy surging through his body as he scaled the cliff as fast as he possibly could. In only a few minutes he was able to reach the top and climb the last four miles at a ridiculous speed.
"Ah! What the hell!" screamed Osiris as he jumped at seeing the kid suddenly jump up from the edge of the cliff.
After pushing the new power he contained to speed up the side of the cliff, Kellen felt even more excited feeling the blood in his body burn hotter and boost his power even more. He was on an overdrive of energy and felt like he needed to do something or else he would burst. This drunken feeling started to mess with his head and cloud his judgement.
Kellen began hearing a faint voice from the back of his mind that made his heart pound even more and his head feel like it was splitting open.
"Thirsty...."
"So thirsty..."
"Give me...."
"I need..."
"Blood!" said the faint haunting voice from the back of his mind.
Kellen yelled out from the increased bloodlust he began feeling from inside his mind and felt like his mind had been lit on fire. The surrounding dark area within his mind space began to get darker until he could only see a few paces in front of him.
The glowing white grid that Osiris's copy had made began to flicker and fade at an alarming rate as a crimson mist began to seep out from beneath them. The mind space was turned into a light show as the grid lines continued to flash and the crimson mist moved about.
The old man's ethereal copy was flustering about and accidently flung his arm inside part of the crimson mist in his panic. The copy stopped his crazy movements after feeling something was wrong and looked at his translucent arm in horror.
The crimson mist he had touched began seeping into his arm and taking control over its actions and severing its function.
"What the bloody hell is going on!" yelled the copy as he looked towards the kid but was in dismay seeing that he was having his own problems.
The powerful energy was now too much for Kellen to handle as the bloodlust in his mind went wild without restraint. Kellen started to lose control over his body and bent his head down in pain as the red mist that had begun diffusing into the mind space slowly blew towards him like a magnet.
"Wake up you fool! Don't let the power possess you!" shouted Osiris's copy seeing the kid losing control.
But it was too late. The red mist that was blowing towards him began surrounding his hunched over figure like a massive twirling column of flames.
Osiris could only look on nervously while waiting for an opportunity to help the kid without getting to close to that dangerous mist.
"Come on kid, I haven't even shown you the wonders of my blessing. Don't lose yourself yet!" yelled Osiris hoping he could get through to him.
Then, the column of crimson mist fell to the ground and wisped around the feet of the hunched over figure of the kid.
"Kid, can you here me?" asked Osiris nervously as he slowly floated over to him while carefully staying away from the dangerous red mist still lingering on the ground.
He paused a few feet away from the kid and observed him carefully.
"Damn, was he always this dangerous? I haven't felt an aura like this since..."
Osiris muttered to himself while he watched the eerie hunched over appearance of his inheritor's every little movement.
Suddenly the bloodlust that had remained inside the back of Kellen's mind burst forth without any restraints.
"Oh Shit!" said Osiris as he felt the killing intent radiating off of the kid's body like saturated waves.
'I have to get a little closer so I can enter his head again but he doesn't look to friendly at the moment. Whatever, I'm not the god of death just for show!'
Since the kid's mind was no longer in his own control anymore, Osiris decided to pump more of his energy into the clone to combat the massive amounts of negative energy bursting forth from his inheritor's body.
The ethereal body of the copy slowly began to become more solid as a black suit and tie slowly began emerging from his body along with skin pigmentation. Osiris's golden eyes shone through the copy's and a surging celestial energy was released.
The energy mixed between that of life and death shone upon the crimson mist around him and it began losing its color before slowly vanishing as his eyes shone upon it. Closing his eyes, Osiris stepped down from the air and walked across the path he created through the mist towards the kid.
He arrived next to him and felt the kid's pulse through his wrist that hung limply by his sides. Osiris's eyes widened as he felt the ridiculously fast amount of blood pulsing through his inheritor's veins.
"What? Impossible!" shouted Osiris in disbelief refusing to accept what he discovered.
"She wiped them all out with her cursed creations thousands of years ago! I thought there weren't any survivors... But he isn't from that world! Why does he have their blood?"
Osiris felt a headache realizing what this kid, now his inheritor, exactly was.
'No, this is good... We can use this in our plan.'
He relaxed himself with this thought as he lifted up the kid's drooping head.
Looking at his face he could tell that the kid was in agony but had remained in control by barely just a thread of consciousness. Kellen's red eyes were glowing with a bloodthirsty light but the whites of his eyes were shining golden and dark black, and they seemed to be slightly countering the extremely potent killing intent.
This is what gave Kellen the strength to barely manage holding onto his control over his body. However, the crazy voice in his head continued to echo its desire for havoc and he could only keep his body remaining still to battle against the possession.
"Don't worry kid. I know I can be a pain in the ass sometimes but I mean well. Your my only inheritor after all! So please don't hate me for this." said Osiris faintly before his body faded away right in front of Kellen's eyes and entered his mind where the coin had previously.
