The lovers returned to doctor Lo's clinic. The severely injured patient has stabilized. After dinner, the lovers pack up their belonging.
Zhao Renshu sat at the table, "This is the first time, and it won't be the last. We will meet such a person, how do you feel?" He looked at Guo Baiyu. "From now on, words will spread that you and I married to the same woman."
Guo Baiyu, "I am glad to tell them. The day I decided to leave the Gou resident. I am already to face any hardship with Ping'an and you. Don't worry about me." He looked at Ping'an. "How about you?"
Ping'an smiled at Zhao Renshu and Guo Baiyu and she said, "I knew a long time ago that people's mouths are the deadliest weapon. I don't care."
Zhao Renshu, "Good, we all good, right?"
Guo Baiyu, "What about you? That's a big confession."
Zhao Renshu, "So what?"
Gou Baiyu, "Have you learned?"
Zhao Renshu sighed, "Lesson learned."
The next morning, two students went to wake the doctor and his two friends, but they found an empty bedroom. There is a note addressed to Doctor Lo on the table. The students brought the note to Doctor Lo. He read it and put the note down on the table.
Doctor Lo said, "They have already left in the early hours of this morning. Xiao Hudie, your big brother gave you a piece of jade. He said it can protect you from evil spirit." Doctor Lo put the small white piece of jade on a red string around Xiao Hudie's neck.
Male student said loudly, "Miss, please let me formally inform of your arrival."
Huang Hongse, "No need." She pushed the male student aside and rushed into the clinic.
Huang Hongse saw Doctor Lo and his family sitting at the table having breakfast. She walked to the table. "Where is Renshu?"
Doctor Lo replied, "Doctor Guozhao and his two friends left early this morning."
Huang Hongse, "Doctor Lo don't mind if I take a look?"
Madam Lo, "Miss Huang no need to do that." She handed Guo Baiyu's letter to Huang Hongse. "This is their farewell letter."
Huang Hongse read the letter, and then rushed out of the clinic. She ran into Huang Yueliang and Lim Peizhi at the front entrance.
Huang Hongse, "What are you two doing here?"
Lim Peizhi, "I'm here to apologize."
Huang Hongse, "No need. They are gone. I am chasing Renshu. I need a clearer explanation than yesterday's stupid make up explanation."
The lovers stopped on the a T-bone road. There are two roads. One is to the left and one is to the right.
Zhao Renshu laughed and said, "This looks familiar. Remember the last time we chose a path that led us to that demon snake?"
Ping'an, "Left."
Zhao Renshu, "Are you sure?"
Ping'an, "I think I've been here before."
Zhao Renshu, "Really? I remember you told me last time that you never set foot outside of Peace Town."
Ping'an sighed heavily, "Since I remember that I have never walked outside of Peace Town, but this place... I think I have been here before. A half of day of horseback around the mountain trail, and it should take us to a big flower field. I don't know why, but I feel safe standing here. I feel like... I am home."
Guo Baiyu, "I think this is what the Goddess meant to go back where it begin."
Zhao Renshu laughed and said, "And I thought she want us to return to our mother's womb." He scratched his chin with his left thumb. "You say over the mountain right? Let's go, it's going to be a long walk. If our horses is not lost in the battle, we wouldn't have to walk."
Guo Baiyu, "What about right?"
Ping'an, "If I remember correctly, I believe this is a green vase of land, but whether it is left or right, the trail will still merge together on the other side of the mountain."
Then the lovers heard men cheering and a loud neighing sound.
Zhao Renshu, "Let's go check it out. You say either way we took it will merge into a single road at the other side of the mountain, right?"
Ping'an, "Yes, but."
Zhao Renshu, "No but. I want to see what kind of creature neigh this loud. Beside, don't you want to write it down your journal?" He walked to the right.
Guo Baiyu, "Writing a journal doesn't mean that you go looking for trouble."
Then Zhao Renshu stopped, turned around and said, "I'm not looking for trouble. I'm just checking ou."
The lovers took the road to the right.
The Huang sisters and Lim Peizhi rode their horses up the mountain.
Lim Peizhi asked, "Hongse, why are you chasing after Renshu?"
Huang Yueliang, "You have always hated him. What happened this time?"
Huang Hongse, "He rejected me because of Ping'an."
Lim Peizhi, "Isn't she Baiyu's wife?"
Huang Hongse, "Renshu said she is Renshu's wife too."
Huang Yueliang, "Both brothers are married to the same woman? Am I understand this correctly?"
Huang Hongse said, "He said his last name is Zhao and Baiyu's surname is Guo. They are Ping'an's husbands so her surname is Guozhao."
Huang Yueliang, "No wonder when you traded words with Baiyu. This makes Renshu very angry. He almost killed us. He also says even if he have a perverted mind, it is absolutely not toward you."
Lim Peizhi, "Stop!"
The three friends stopped their horses.
Huang Yueliang, "What's the matter?"
Lim Peizhi, "We are entering the Wasteland."
Huang Hongse, "I don't care."
Lim Peizhi explained, "The Wasteland belong to the most dangerous criminals for the past two hundred years. They tried to destroy the waterfall city once, but were driven deep into the mountain by our ancestors. They were a group of men and women with two hundred people. Our ancestors told them, we could be good neighbor, if they stay in the wasteland and never set foot in our City, otherwise we will send troops and destroy them. In the past two hundred years, they dare not invade Waterfall City. Those prisoners who escaped from Waterfall City will join them. I believe they are forming an army to take over our city. They are dangerous cannibal criminals and they believe that eating centaur meat will make them immortal."
Huang Hongse, "Centaur?"
Lim Peizhi, "Immortals, who are half human and half horse. In the history of our waterfall city. The last battle between us and the Wastelander was because the leader of Wastelander and his army of two hundreds had consumed Centaur's flesh. They believed they were immortal, but in the end they were defeated by our ancestors' arm."
Huang Hongse, "Have any of you seen a Centaur?"

Huang Yueliang, "In the eyes of mainlanders, Waterfall City is a city of criminals, but I think the Wastelander are the true criminals. I don't mean it a bad way." She smiled at Lim Peizhi. "In the eyes of the mainland people, Waterfall City is a place for criminal to rehabilitate."
Lim Peizhi, "There is no shame to said that Waterfall City was established by criminals who had a change of heart. We took it as our pride. We cannot enter the Wasteland."
Huang Yueliang, "Hongse, I am sure we will meet hunter Zhao again. He is a hunter. We are hunters. Hunters always cross path. Let's go back."
