At night, the groundwater flowed downstream, and Yongzheng could not fall asleep. Every time he closes his eyes, he will see the image of the little innocent Xie Diwei looking at him. He hadn't dreamed of Xie Diwei for months. Dong Shun told him that his real name is Diwei, and reminded Yongzheng that there were old beef between Rao and Cao that needed to be resolve. Hearing the word Diwei, the inner demon he had buried for the longest time suddenly awakened. He leaned his head on the wall of the cave and stared at the other three people who slept silently in the cave. He didn't know what dreams they were dreaming about, because for him, he hadn't dreamed a long time ago. If he would to dream, it will be those different faces of people whom he killed in the past.
For many years, he refused to pick up his sword and return to the martial arts world. Now, Dong Shun told him that he must pick up his sword and kill Cao Fengge to avenge his parents. It was because of Dong Shun's words that made him return to those days he wanted to erase.
Those who don't know about Yongzheng's past would think he is a holy young Taoist, someone they see as their savior, but everyone who has seen him knows that he is no holy Taoist. He is a bloodthirsty demon in human skin.
Since Yongzheng could remembered, he received harsh training. He killed his first prey at the age of four. The road to become Number One, it's not an easy road. He fought against the most dangerous and powerful opponents one by one, and every time he killed, he climb one step higher to the top of becoming the strongest person in the organization. In fact, Yongzheng was a cold-blooded person who kill without hesitation until he met Xie Diwei.
Xie Diwei slightly carried the long rope and ran along the back mountain. He shouted excitedly, "Jiejie, let go of the kite."
Xie Chyou smiled, "Okay." She let go of the kite.
Xie Diwei let out more strings, and the kite flew higher into the sky. He excitedly said, "Jeijie, it's higher now."
Xie Diwei and Xie Chyou stepped back, looking at the flying kite. Suddenly, Xie Diwei retreated slightly to Yongzheng who was standing behind them. Xie Diwei quickly turned around and ran behind Xie Chyou.
Xie Chyou looked at Yongzheng and asked, "What can I do for you?"
Yongzheng asked, "Do you know where the Xie Manor is?"
Xie Chyou pointed down at a small manor. Yongzheng picked up the spool and handed it to Xie Chyou. The shy fifteen years old Xie Chyou took the spool from Yongzheng.
Xie Diwei poked his head out from behind Xie Chyou's back and said, "Shushu, we can take you down."
Yongzheng nodded slightly to Xie Diwei. Xie Chyou and Xie Diwei led Yongzheng down to the Xie Manor. The Xie Manor stood at the end of a street. As soon as the three arrived, the greeter came out to greet Xie Chyou and Xie Diwei.
Yongzheng looked at the two young youth and asked, "You two live here?"
Xie Chyou said, "Yes."
Yongzheng asked, "You two have Xie surname, are you related to Xie Changpu?"
Xie Diwei smiled and said, "He is my father. He stretched out his hand and innocently grabbed Yongzheng's left hand. "Shushu, come, I will take you to see father. Since you know my father's name, you must be his friend. "
Xie Diwei led Yongzheng into the backyard. Yongzheng stood watching Xie Diwei ran into Xie Changpu's arms. Xie Changpu picked up Xie Diwei, threw Xie Diwei up in the air twice, and then placed Xie Diwei on the ground.
Xie Diwei pointed at Yongzheng and said, "Father…father…that shushu is here to see you?"
Xie Changpu walked up to Yongzheng and asked him to sit inside the pavilion in the backyard. Yongzheng sat opposite Xie Changpu and Mrs. Xie. Xie Chyou put the pot of tea set on the table and stood behind Xie Changpu and Madame Xie.
Xie Diwei looked at the storybook on the table. He said, "Father, after your meeting with this shushu, could we continue the story?"
Xie Changpu smiled and said, "Yes."
Yongzheng looked at Xie Diwei and said, "This shushu have a very interesting story. Does xiao didi want to hear it?"
Xie Diwei said, "Yes."
Yongzheng said, "There used to be a hunter with a thousand faces. He had twelve very good dogs. These dogs always obeyed their master, but one day, the hunter asked dog number five to go to the market and bring some chicken heads for dinner. Dog number five obeyed his master's instructions and went to the market. When Dog number five saw how much the market could provide him, he decided to stay in the market instead of getting chicken heads. He knew that if his master find him and look into his eyes, his master will definitely kill him. In order to protect himself, he turned himself into a swan, so that his master will never find him."
Xie Changpu's face turned dark and his lips trembled.
Xie Diwei asked, "What happen next? Did dog number five's master find him?"
Yongzheng said, "Of course, after dog number five turned into a beautiful white swan, he still smelled like a dog. So, one day, the Faceless Master decided to walk into the market and let dog number five see the true face of his master." Yongzheng looked straight at Xie Changpu.
Xie Changpu said, "Ying'er enough for today. Don't bother this shushu anymore." He turned to Madame Xie. "Furen, take the children and go cook dinner."
After Madame Xie, Xie Diwei, and Xie Chyou left. Xie Changpu asked, "Are you number one?"
Yongzheng got up from his chair and looked at Xie Changpu coldly. He said, "Number five, you know the rules of the organization."
Xie Changpu said, "Number one, I know that the person who sees your face will undoubtedly die, but I beg you to spare the lives of my family and the workers who live here."
Yongzheng said, "There is still an hour left before sunset." He stood up and walked away. "Number five, you can run, but you can't hide."
As soon as the sun went down, the Xie family was ready to flee their home. Xie Changpu took his family out of the tunnel. When they were approaching the entrance of the tunnel, a wave of crossbow arrows flew towards them. Xie Changpu had no choice but to take his family back to Xie Manor. When the Xie family walked out of the backyard from the hidden place, there was blood everywhere. The servants inside the Xie family died on the ground across the entire manor.
Xie Changpu led his family to the front door. A man dressed in black stood in front of them with a bright sword. The full moon made the sword brighter.
Xie Changpu said, "Number one, after so many years, can you let me go?"
Yongzheng replied, "When you joined the organization you knew the consequences of betraying the organization." Yongzheng rushed directly to Xie Changpu.
Xie Changpu drew his sword out of its sheath and quickly said, "Furen, take them and run away."
Madame Xie grabbed Xie Chyou and Xie Diwei's hands and ran back to the backyard.
Yongzheng's lightening sword collided with Xie Changpu's sword. Yongzheng swung his sword from all directions, and every time he swung his sword, he hit Xie Changpu. After being stabbed with ten wounds, Xie Changpu fell to his knees.
With blood on his face, Xie Changpu pleaded, "Chief, please let my daughter and son go."
Yongzheng said, "I'm sorry, I can't do that. We were paid to kill all of the Yao." He looked at Xie Changpu coldly. "You should have kill her in the first place. Making her the mother of your children is indeed your second mistake as an assassin." Yongzheng's sword pierced directly at Xie Changpu's neck.
Yongzheng heard someone rushing from behind him, he hurriedly swung the sword back, and the sword cut the throat of the person behind him. He heard a soft moan from a young girl. As soon as he turned around, he saw Xie Chyou's body slowly falling to the ground.
He continued to walk to the backyard and found Xie Diwei hiding behind a stone statue. He grabbed Xie Diwei's back collar, and Xie Diwei began to run away from Yongzheng. Yongzheng swung his sword towards Xie Diwei's back. Xie Diwei fell to the ground and bled heavily.
Yongzheng walked to him and looked down at Xie Diwei. When Yongzheng was about to stab Xie Diwei, Xie Diwei choked by his own blood and grabbed Yongzheng's left ankle forcefully. Xie Diwei said vaguely, "Shushu, why do you kill my family?" He coughed. "If you bully me, aren't you afraid, your mother will scold at you?"
Yongzheng's body began to tremble violently. He heard Xie Diwei's voice louder, "Shushu, why do you kill my family. If you bully me, aren't you afraid, your mother will scold at you?"
Yongzheng covered his ears. He shouted, "I don't have a mother."
Xie Diwei shouted louder and louder, repeating the same sentence over and over again.
Xue Horan discovered that Yongzheng was moving violently while covering his ears with his hands. Xue Horan knew that Yongzheng must have had a nightmare. He squatted beside Yongzheng and began to wake up Yongzheng.
Xue Horan shook Yongzheng, "Yongzheng, wake up. Yongzheng wake up."
Yongzheng opened his eyes abruptly, and tightly grasped Xue Horan by the throat. With bloodshot eyes, he said coldly, "I told you... I don't have a mother."
Xue Horan wanted to pull Yongzheng's hand away, but the more Yongzheng's hand was pulled away, the tighter Yongzheng's grasp squeezing around Xue Horan's neck. Xue Horan's vision began to dim. He choked and said, "Yongzheng...it's me...Horan..."
