Chereads / Finding Ally / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

3rd grade was my first grade at High Hill Academy, when we got to high school at High Hill, I started coming out my shell, me and Ally got more attention, the popular fakes started being ignored by others and me and Ally's friendship group became bigger and they didn't feel fake.

Ally soon got a boyfriend, and I tried to tell her he wasn't good news, they would sit with each other and then when she turned away he would touch other girls. Max was an entitled rich boy who flexed his riches non stop, his friends weren't loyal; they were just with him for the raging parties. The first time I saw Max grab Ally, I realised it wasn't the first time, and it was the last time he did that, I felt revolted, riled up and like I was about to burst, so I ran towards him and punched him in the mouth, the fact that it bled made me feel a bit better but when he looked up, he slapped me and I fell hard to the ground, this was the first time I really saw what Ethan was like, he was a couple inches taller than Max, he punched Max so hard he fell to the ground, and got on top of Max rolling his sleeves up to get ready to beat him up, I just sat there admiring Ethan. His strong shoulders. Everything. Before I knew it Max was knocked out, Ally was at my side and Ethan turned to me and stared at me, he helped me up. I took his hand and I saw it was pretty badly cut, I held it and I said to him, "looks like you need some ice for that." That was when I fell in love with his smile. He had a scar on his lip that some girls said made him look ugly, but to me, he was perfect.

Max was expelled, and a few of the fakes were suspended; turns out he was a dealer and they were buying from him, he was so stupid that he left 500 grams of drugs in his locker with all their names on it. It was outed that Ally wasn't the only girl he had hurt, he had kicked and assaulted other girls. Apparently his father took him off his Will and he was disowned by his family.

Ethan asked me to Prom and like an idiot I screamed yes and hugged him. He wanted to hang out more but I told him to wait a few weeks for me, I had to be there for Ally, those weeks were hard, we felt more trapped than ever, more watched, more followed. It was scary. I locked myself in my room for two days shaking and crying. Ally found me. My parents looked at me and said, "stop putting on a show, no one is watching." But Ally was there for me and held me, like she always did.
