The shock of the link being made scared Ayden as he jumped back, only to see Tah'ler begin to shift into a the largely muscled warrior in front of him.
His frame now larger filled with muscles, his glowing gold eyes back to his normal dark blue, his hands accented with deadly looking claws. The most shocking change for Ayden though was the two large sharp fangs displayed in Tah'lers infectious grin.
Patron God: Fenrir (descendent) Abilities: N/A Condition: Healthy (fazed werewolf)> Ayden couldn't dwell on any of these things because the Haze beast hord had reached the gates. All the divers around the recruits drawing their weapons and activating their blessings. The feeling that his whole life had just been moving rapidly from one thing to another the last 2 days washed over Aydens mind, but he decided to grit his teeth and bare it. Looking for the feeling he had felt the day before, Ayden closed his and felt the emotions deep down boiling to the surface. Letting it build, pushing against the surface till it reached a breaking point as he opened his eyes. **ROOOAAAARRR** **ROOOAAAARRR** [ [All stats increased by 50%, due to linked Power flooded his body as the abilities mixed and enhanced each other. Tah'ler seeing and feeling what Ayden was trying to do as he felt the swarm of emotions over their bond, decided to match Aydens ability with his own. With their new found power the two jumped into the fray. The job of a diver, to protect the world from the Haze Beast's that seek to eradicate the human race. Tah'ler being the more experienced diver ran out in front, and began hacking away at the beast. With each swipe of his claws one of the flaming beast feel to the ground. For the few that got past Tah'ler, Ayden slashed with his sword aiming at the neck and legs to bring the beast down. No matter how many time he cut though the beasts stayed up, continuing there on slot. 'Aim at its back, where a spine would be!' With the tip from Tah'ler, Ayden was finally able to take his first haze beast down as it turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared. Not with out getting bitten on his new armor, but it held as if nothing happened except getting the wind knocked out of him [Flame Hound killed 50 XP(first kill bonus); 350/1000 XP] [Achievement Acquired: First One Down - kill you're first haze beast; Reward 5 AP (20)] With each Flame Hound killed Ayden gained some XP, and his excitement of reaching this point in his life overflowed with happiness. [Flame Hound killed 5 XP; 380/1000 XP] [Achievement Acquired: Well Fought - survive you first encounter with a Haze Beast; Reward 10 AP (30)] Looking for more incoming attack Ayden noticed that the fight was over and all the Flame Hounds gone. After making sure he wasn't going to get attack he walked over towards the other probationary divers. When he got close he noticed each one had someone standing next to them smiling and giving critics about the battle. Explaining what they could do better with and what they did great with. As he looked to his side he noticed Tah'ler getting ready to do the same thing, but he was no longer the giant beef-cake he was not 10 mins ago but his normal unaggressive self. ~ " "Sooooooo, yeah nice to see you again... I hope you remember me. My name is Dr. Tah'ler. Haha of course a doctor named Tah'ler, not a tailer for doctors. Haha. Tah'ler Hale actually, i am pleased to make your acquaintance. So as you see all new people get a personal dive-trainer to teach you the ins and outs about being in the fields and of being a divers. It's not so hard. Genesis over there will be your combat instructor,...he's a bit rough but over all a great teacher most people trained by him go on to be high ranking Divers; some even go much much higher. But as a first look of your ability is something else i must say. You move like lightning, your strong as an ox, you focus on what needs to be done. Over all your physical ability is way above average, which is great i must say which is why i choose you; to some degree anyway. But you suck at combat, like reeeeeeaaaalllly bad. You look like a robot just going through some moves, which isn't all bad but you will die if you went out on a solo field run..... I'm rambling again! Sorry, i get over excited able sometimes and just kinda lose track of things." Tah'ler had just been talking, for an extended period of time not letting Ayden get a word in the entire time. All though Ayden didn't care at that moment as he was still lost in the feeling of losing someone he felt so close to as if they never existed. "... what was that ability you just used...?" Aydens voice a whisper of sadness and loss. Tah'ler not knowing why Ayden was asking about his transformation ability just shrugged his shoulder. ~ "It's called ' Before Tah'ler could get to far down the rabbit hole of rambling Ayden interrupted him. "No the... b-bond thing,... that l-linked us together!" While still a whisper, Aydens voice was firm. Tah'ler's eyes began to narrow because his ability while similar to Ayden bloodline ability, had a drastic difference. Both abilities can form a link with anyone with any type of touch, but only those children of God Fenrir could feel the connection with each other. ~ "It is not my place to say,... as I am no leader of our blessed! But the fact you felt it is peculiar,... who is your God?" While Tah'ler still smiled, his eyes showed nothing but a threat. In this world their were two paths that blessings took. The first path of the lesser Gods were widely available to all who seek them, while no inherently strong abilities were attainable they did serve as boost to anyone who wielded them; to gain more from these gods were never to difficult. The second path was the path of the descendent, where a family kept the secrets of their Gods within a tight group removing anyone outside of that group by force; while the abilities were deadlier the devotion was higher and not all received the strongest, because the upper Gods were vain in their choices. "I serve no God, I am Blackwater. Those who choose no chain! Who's chains have you chosen to bind you?!" Ayden coming out of his stupor, recited the response those in his family always said when they were questioned by others who didn't understand that they harnessed no Gods ability, with pride. Saying 'i am Blackwater', as if he summed up everything it was to be apart of his family. The third path which wasn't really anything, was the path of the blood. While few even knew of this path, it was how the Gods became the Gods. They all started on earth during periods in the past and learned their abilities with out the aid of another. God Fenrir learned to walk among the wolves, learning their bond and ways; later he found that his body began to grow more powerful the closer his bond became with the wolves, and soon the wolves called him alpha for he was the first of the humans to full merge with the wolves becoming a monstrous wolf in the process; eventually taking the step into godhood and immortality. God Balder learned the ways of light and healing. God Maní learned to harness the cold flame of the moon and its attraction to those around it. God Grid well always on the side of peace learned the ways of growth and strength, to such a degree that few could match her. The gods and their tales were endless and their effect on the world were so great that wars were fought in secret, and at one point only a few of the gods were actually truly known to the world. Al though when the Haze beast attacked those gods were nowhere to be found to save humanity, for they cared nothing for the human race but only for their praise. - "Even if you are all dying, you shall not stop your worship of me. For i am your only way to the heavens above." The God who's name had long since been forgotten to his children said as he watched them die without extending a hand that had once lived ~ " You are quite the special one aren't you! It's been awhile since I've heard that name. I apologize Ayden of clan Blackwater, i am Dr Tah'ler Hale of the God Fenrir. I'm a doctor named Tah'ler, not a tailer for doctors."
