"Wow look how you two have grown" said Eli
"Hmm Well Josh now I can officially say your strong enough to be in the top 100 and
take care of yourself and Mia your about as strong as an A rank regular so good job"
said Gabi
Josh and Mia walk out from behind a curtain with chiseled bodies.
Josh has grown taller and his hair seems more rugged and messy and he had a small
scar on his left cheek but he's playing a game on his phone.
Mia had a more drastic change from her scrawny body she grew tall and put on more
muscle in all the right places and her hair got longer went from an Ocean blue to a deep
Prismarine. She also celebrated her 19th birthday.
Josh ignoring the went back to his room in the Ocean side Mansion while Mia waited for
Eli to get something.
"OK here's your Uniform. Since we're recommending you to the school you don't have to
take the entrance Exam If you don't want to but you do have to attend the orientation in
2 days" Said Eli
"Thanks Eli for taking care of me all this time and I think I'll attend the entrance Exam
I'm not participation though I just wanna see the competition" said Mia with a mature
tone.
"OK lets Go Gabi can you send us there I kind of forgot to stock the Yatch and its in 2
hours" said Eli pleading
Gabi lounging on a lawn chair "Sigh ok"
She snaps her fingers and they disappear.
Josh who just walked out of her room said "Where did they go?"
At the Entrance of Arteme Mia was standing there looking at the most advanced
teaching facility for training Hunters in the world which attracts international sponsors
all over the world.
"Uhh Mia I just realized something" Eli said startled
"What?" Mia who snapped out of her daze asked
"I should've put on a disguise and a shirt" Eli said being eyed by all the students at the
entrance Gate
All the Girls began to scream attracting the attention of all the students "OMG It the
silver lynx, he's one of the strongest hunters, if he was my sponsor I wouldn't have to
worry about anything, His tattoos are so hot, Who's that girl next to him? Is that his
girlfriend?"
Under the gaze of the curios students Eli just smiled and waved and walked towards the
main entrance.
Then something Happened Bang! Mia bumped into someone and he seemed pretty
important because a lot of reporters were crowded around him asking questions.
"Are you gonna win the tournament at the end of the year, do you have an eye out for
anyone who could challenge you? Is your family really the decedents of a Demigod?"
Then noticing this person who didn't seem that important enter his personal space he
glared at her and Mia looked at him as if he was a lion but she stared into the eyes of
dragons so his gaze was nothing to her.
When he was about to push her away a hand touched him and he almost snapped his
shades fell off his face and revealed his turquoise eyes that had turned into a violent
storm. His dirty blonde hair flared up as he released hi aura and said
"Who dare to me the Prince of the Yorkshire isle Andrew Westwood?"
Mia who was unfazed by his aura walked away from him and then he turned his head to
the person who grabbed his arm and pissed his pants. He just provoked a high ranker as
an A rank regular he would die before he even knew what happened. He fell to his knees
and was about to apologize when Eli let go of his hand and continued to walk Andrew
stared at the bruises on his hand just from a light grab and whispered under his breath
"Is this the power of a High ranker? there Monsters. My brother couldn't do this and he's
also a High ranker."
The students who witnessed this did not know what was going to happen because no
regular has seen a ranker's power in person unless the ranker was a part of their family
but they've never seen a High ranker get serious.
Most of the reporters passed out because they were regular people and Andrew left a small crater in the ground where he contemplated what was going on and who was that girl for a High Ranker to be her representative.
In the Main Building Teachers who were walking around stopped and bowed their head
in front of this shirtless man covered in tattoos some even dropped their papers and
books in shock.
'Where the entrance exam being held?" he shouted out
A female teacher wanting to get on his good side rushed over and seductively grabbed
onto his arm and lead him to the Exam hall.
Eli didn't complain about it but the other female teachers seemed to have a problem
with their colleague using a High Ranker in the Top 100 to show off.
In the Exam hall in the public seats Eli sat down in the front row closest to the arena.
The teacher was confused "Ummm Mr. Lynx don't you want to head over to the VIP
lounge a high ranker like yourself should be seated in a position reflecting your status"
Eli ignored her and Mia brushed past her and whipped her Hair and sat next to him she
didn't complain and followed the two.
The teachers in the examination stands noticed the presence of someone special and
was wondering if they were the benefactor of one of the participants and the Students
who were taking the exam started to look at each other like they were trying to find who
it was when the teachers and the students realized that it was the girl next to him and not anyone there. The students let out a sigh of relief while the teachers scoffed that they didn't get to see her in action.
Mia oblivious to their stares continued to watch the student participate against each
other.
The entrance Exam of Arteme was Infamous because every semester they only excepted
1900 normal students and 100 students who were recommended by official hunters. So
out of the 100,000 applicants only 2000 get accepted.
The Ranker who was a Teacher explained the rules again seeing that someone special
arrived.
"OK Everyone I'm your Examiner and I'll be in charge of Putting you in your classes. You
Shall be put against another student at random or you can pick your opponent.
Picking a weaker opponent and winning doesn't mean that you'll get accepted on the
advanced class.
This is a test to judge your ability in estimating your enemies' strength and using your
environment to the best of your ability to beat them this is one of the key skills for up
and coming hunters and the way you use you blessing and the type you have will decide
what position you'll play in the end of term exam. OK whose first"
A girl no more than 15 walked up to the examiner I choose her.
The whispers in the audience got louder did a regular from a no name family decide to
fight against a girl who had a high ranker as her benefactor she's insane or just really
confident?
Eli glared at the girl and she felt shivers down her spine and when Eli was about to say
something Mia stopped him and said "I accept".
The arena was in uproar and more and more teachers and faculty and even Students
who were recommend started to come in to see this fight.
A guy wearing a hood in a dark corridor standing next to a girl sucking on a lollipop said
"Who do you think will win?"
"Obviously the hot head over there isn't she an abandoned princess she's doing this to
prove her strength and get a good benefactor or try and take Miss Ocean's benefactor."
Mia jumps into the arena and walks to the opposite side
"Let's make a wager if I lose ill become your underling for the rest of our time here but if
I win you have to let me become recommended by that big shot over there" she said with
a smile staring at Eli
Eli's expression turned dark and he released some of his aura for a split second and the
girl lost her cool and almost threw up and everyone in the arena even the rankers felt
sick for a second the girl and guy in the corridor lost the cocky looks on their face and the
girl even dropped her lollipop.
But then he felt a pressure on his shoulders something only a high ranker could have
done and it just appeared out of thin air he looked up and smiled "Jamal Green"
Jamal smiled back and said "Calm down you don't wanna kill everyone in here do you
because I can't let you do that"
Eli replied with a sinister smile "Could you stop me even if you wanted?"
Jamal Laughs "Still as strong as ever A cat never likes someone in their territory"
Eli scoffs "I thought space magicians stayed in their rooms and messed with people's
perception of time."
Jamal laughs harder "Well it looks like it's gonna be a big fight I hope your ready my
students are strong too you know"
Eli sarcastically replies "Well see"
In the area after she recovered she shouted for everyone to hear
"My name is Mellissa Cavendish of the Royal Court of Camelot and you'll face my might"
Mia stays Quiet and waits patiently for the Examiner to start
3…2…1…. Begin Mellissa using her flame blessing propels herself towards Mia but
something was wrong she couldn't move anymore by the time she realized it she was
suspended in the air.
The crowd asked themselves wind magic?
Then she was flung against the wall without warning creating a hole but She got up
again and continued her charge but failed time and time again when she finally got the
message that she couldn't get near her she decided to use long range attacks.
She fires a volley of fire balls at her but when they reached a certain range they imploded.
Most people were confused but Eli Jamal and some other knew what happened.
A Prince in a white suit embroidered with gold looked down at the arena and said
"She using her ability to cause the gases in the air to disperse making the area around
her a void so flames can't travel to her but only high rankers who can control gravity can
do something like this. Who could have taught her?"
He looked at Eli and remembered the members of Eli's team Gabi Walkin Space
Enchantress he smiled "This ones dangerous" and sipped on some red wine.
The battle continued to rage on and realizing her abilities weren't working she decided to
use her environment to her Advantage. She placed her hands on the ground and stared to
melt the floor of the arena which caused Mia to flinch.
Mia then jumped up and used her blessing to stay suspended in the air catching her off guard Mellissa Fired some fire balls at her Mia who was struggling to use her blessing to keep her afloat and dodge the flames realized she had to end this quickly.
She used her remaining power to compress the lava into obsidian and she Used the
convection currents around her to cool the ground beneath her and stood flat Mellissa
who had run out of energy tried to hide from her but Mia who had lost her cool was on
her tail and when she was about to finish it a crack appeared In the floor and a jet of
lava hit her in the face.
She used the last of her energy to protect herself from the stream so she could only fight with her hands and they hit each other until the both passed out from exhaustion but before they hit the smoldering ground a shitless lynx saved them both in a blink of an eye and carried them to the Healer in the med ward.
And only 2 people noticed what happened most people just saw them about to fall then
disappear.
The headmaster looked around because he felt another strong presence other than
himself and Eli
Jamal finally locked onto the power and flew to the south entrance and all he saw was a
man with a strange tattoo on his back disappear into the darkness.
The girl with the loli pop looked over at Jamal and said "Markus is that him"
He crushed up a picture of a man with 12 pairs of wings on his back removed his hoodie
and said "yeah its him call the others we got a bounty to hunt" he said quietly
"OK Abi's waiting outside and is searching for him don't you wanna say hello to your
friend Mia" she said with a deadpan smile
"I know you wouldn't let me" he said with hatred
She smiles like a demon "Smart boy"
"What do you even want him for he just seems like a regular guy?" said Markus angrily
"That regular guy was able to easily break Kings arms" she said with a fearful expression
He looks at her as if she wasn't serious king the strongest human had his arms broken by
him.
"Don't worry were not gonna try and kill him because that's probably impossible we just
want to recruit him or at least give the boss a chance to talk to him" she continued
"what makes you think hell even listen to us" he asked
"We have our ways" she points her lollipop at where Mia and Mellissa were just
standing and walks off into the darkness.
