Qingyue came out of her trance and smiled brightly, she bowed to Cross and said "Thank you... Teacher." Cross shook his head with a smile as he said "I'm not a teacher... not anymore anyways. Go on, eat." before taking out two steaks and disappearing, leaving Yun Che and Qingyue alone.
Cross appeared in the Sky Poison Pearl, he threw a steak at Jasmine and bet on his own. Jasmine started nibbling on the steak silently, he walked over and handed her the Beast core as he smiled and said "2 to go." Jasmine looked at the core and trembled as she took it from his hands.
Her eyes watered and Cross frowned as he said "Are you feeling alright? Why are you crying?" Jasmine's face heated up and she slapped him flying shouting "IDIOT!" Cross landed on his face and slid a good few feet, unable to comprehend why he was slapped.
He jumped up and cursed "Fucking lolis..." Jasmine flashed over and started beating him up with red eyes as she shouted "I'M NOT A LOLI!" Cross said "Ah! Not my face, you fucking loli! Come here!" he flashed behind her and spanked her bottom.
Jasmine froze and her face, neck, and ears turned red before she started trembling. Cross smirked and said "I still got it!" Jasmine turned around and glared at him with a terrifying expression, Cross gulped and backed away slowly before using 'Void Step' and disappearing in the distance, running as fast as he could.
Jasmine roared and left behind 7 afterimages as he chased him.
A while later
Jasmine and Cross stopped and looked outside to see everything had changed, Cross had a serious expression on his face and he came to Jasmine's side as he said "Did you feel that?" Jasmine nodded and said seriously "That's completely beyond my strength." Cross frowned and said "The last thing that happened was Yun Che eating the seed..."
Cross and Jasmine looked at each other and said in shock "Soul fragment!?" Cross recovered and said "I wonder if he's still there..." Jasmine just asked "Yun Che, did you just meet the soul fragment of the Evil God?" Yun Che said "Yeah, he took me he-" he voice cut off and he was in shock as he just heard a name he never thought he'd hear again in his life.
Cross frowned and said "If he used his powers I think that was the last thing he could've done before dissipating..." he looked at Jasmine and said "You sealed your strength completely?" Jasmine nodded and Cross nodded as he said "Then leave it to me."
Jasmine looked at him, a bit startled, so much confidence... Her cheeks turned pink and she just looked at him in a daze until he left. She clapped her cheeks and went to her bed with blushing cheeks.
Cross appeared outside, he saw Yun Che threatening people. Cross walked over and said "What happened?" Yun Che explained that these three were from some Blockhead Stronghold, the men shouted "Blackwood Stronghold!"
Cross said "Yes... And you were trying to capture this little girl?" The men sneered and said "What can you do about i-" Cross grabbed his neck and said "You know, children truly are my weak spot..." He whistled and a skeleton flew out of the crack.
The skeleton grew into a terrifying skeleton dragon, White nuzzled against Cross, who smiled and said "White can you find where these guys are from?" White turned to the three guys and put his head near them, before nodding.
Cross smiled and said "Go find their hideout and kill them all, as painfully as possible." White made a bone rattling sound and flew off, the three men were as pale as can be. Cross looked at them and said "How does it feel knowing that everyone will die because of you? Does it hurt? Are you in pain? Do you feel regret?"
Cross tilted his head and said "Why aren't you begging for mercy yet?" one of the three knelt and said "Pl-" Cross kicked him and the man exploded as Cross said "Come on, beg for mercy. Weren't you trying to capture the kid before? I. SAID. BEG."
The other two men were forced to their knees forcefully and bone crunching sounds erupted from their legs, Yun Che took the little girl away and was playing with her but he had a conflicted look on his face, Qingyue was with him and smiled at the girl.
Cross crouched down and whispered "Why can't I hear your begging?" another men cried as he said "Pleas-" Cross blew on the man and his froze into ice before shattering into pieces.
The last man trembled, this wasn't a human! He was a devil! A demon! Cross smiled and said "Imperio." the man stopped trembling and Cross said "Go jump off the cliff." The man stood up and walked to the cliff before jumping right off.
Cross dusted his hands and saw Yun Che hugging the little girl and crying, he had a sneaking suspicion but didn't voice it out, he only said "En. She's only 10 years old right now." Yun Che froze and let go, the little girl popped out of Yun Che's embrace and said "Why is Big Brother Yun Che crying? Ling'er will blow on it!" as she blew on his eye.
Cross clapped and said "What a precious little girl! Fuck! I miss my own." he sighed and walked to the cliff, looking into the abyss in grief. Yun Che chuckled and said "Why don't you jump off. Bastard!" Cross smirked and said "I just might~"
As he jumped right off, Yun Che shouted "BIG BRO!" Cross floated back up and chuckled "Gotcha!" Yun Che was enraged and grabbed him saying "You trying to scare me to death!?"
Cross smiled and patted his head saying "So emotional.. You're getting soft on me aren't you?" Yun Che clicked his tongue and let him go with a small smile as he said "You're the soft one... Damn bastard.." Cross rubbed his nose and chuckled.
A voice was heard "Ling'er? Where are you, Ling'er!"
A man appeared and Ling'er shouted "Papa!" as she ran over. Yun Che watched her go and smiled slightly as he walked over, Qingyue followed him but Cross stayed at the edge of the cliff as they talked with the man, who was named Su Hengshan.
Cross looked down into the Abyss and felt something look back at him. He squinted and could only make out two eyes with two different colors in each of them. He felt a pulling feeling as if the eyes were calling him to them.
Yun Che looked over and said "Cross. We're going to Grandwake Clan." Cross waved and said "Have fun. I'm not coming. When White comes back just tell him to shrink and stay near you." Yun Che nodded and paused for a few seconds before saying "Don't do anything stupid."
Cross waved, naturally he understood. Yun Che nodded and left with Qingyue and Su Hengshan.
Cross looked into the void and maybe a space mark on the edge of the cliff before jumping down. He teleported back to the top and jumped off frequently, seeing if he could teleport back to his anchor from anywhere. He kept going until he reached the bottom, he teleported back to the top and let out a breath of relief before teleporting back down.
He touched the ground with his slippers and looked around, he saw a cave with little tiger statues, a forest, and a sea of flowers. The flowers tried to suck in his soul, but who was Cross? The Main Character that's who!
Cross walked through the flowers, touching the petals softly, they brushed against him softly as if to say 'Hello' Cross smiled and sniffled the flowers, inhaling an amazing scent. These flowers smelled terrific!
He was greeted by a little girl, he looked at her and tilted his head, she had the same eyes that he saw in the abyss before. Cross walked forward and crouched in front of her, patting her head with a smile. The girl blinked and nodded slightly, Cross smiled softly and didn't speak.
They stayed like that for a few minutes before the girl presented him with a flower. Cross smiled and took it before rummaging through his bag and retrieving the slave bell. His hand glowed green and he said softly in Elven "Bless this Item with soul nourishment, O great Divine Tree!" a pillar of golden white light fell from the sky onto the bell.
The pillar disappeared and Cross held out the bell on a rainbow ribbon towards the girl. The girl took it and held it close to her heart with a small smile. Cross tapped her hand and opened his, the girl put the bell in his hand and he held her little hand before tying the bell ribbing around her wrist.
Cross smiled and shook her hand, the girl smiled at the crisp ringing of the bell and hugged Cross wordlessly. Cross patted her back and rubbed softly, the girl let go and her eyes arced like little crescents as she shook her hand listening to the bell's chimes.
Cross patted her head and rubbed gently, messing up her hair. The girl pouted and touched her hair, Cross smiled and pointed at his own hair, then her eyes before his hair color started changing to yellow, red, white, and black.
The girl opened her mouth in shock and pointed at Cross before pointing at her eyes, which were Yellow and Green in her right eye and Blue and Purple in her left eye. Cross pursed his lips and closed his eyes, his hair turned Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple, before going to white like the girl's.
The little girl clapped happily, the bell chiming as she did so. She was happy. Cross lifted her up and placed her on his shoulders, holding her feet as he walked around the bottom of the cliff. He pointed at the cave and the girl shook her head.
Cross thought for a moment before reaching into his inner world and pulling out a book. He handed it to the girl, who looked at it in confusion. Cross opened the book and showed her the pictures, the girl read the entire book in 5 minutes before making hand movements.
The book was Sign Language. Cross translated the text into common language of this world.
The girl said "Thank you." Cross smiled and moved his hands to say "You're welcome. What's your name? My name is Cross." the girl said "I don't have a name." Cross signed "Do you want me to give you one?" the girl nodded and Cross said "What about Artemis?"
The girl said "Artemis? What is that?" Cross smiled and said "Goddess of the Moon? You have white hair and you're as cute as a button." the girl.. no Artemis smiled and nodded while clapping. Cross smiled and signed "Why are you down here alone?"
Artemis said "I can't remember. But I feel lonely down here." Cross frowned and said "You can come with me if you like." Artemis struggled before shaking her head and replying "I have to stay here to protect something?"
Cross asked "Protect what?" Artemis took out a seed, Cross made a funny face and said "You have to protect that? Are you waiting for someone to show up?" Artemis nodded and Cross smiled as he said "I know who uses those. You can give it to him if you come with me."
Artemis shook her head and said "I can't leave anyway. My soul will collapse if I leave the Netherworld Udumbara Flowers." Cross nodded but froze as he asked "Those are all Netherworld Udumbara Flowers?!" Artemis nodded and Cross slapped his forehead before saying "I need one for somebody else. I want to keep the one you gave me safe. Can I have another one?"
Artemis gave him another flower with a smile. Cross smiled softly and signed "Thank you." Artemis signed "Thank you for the bell. I really like it." Cross signed back "Keep it on you at all times, it will nourish your soul."
Artemis nodded and rubbed the ribbon with a smile. Cross asked "What is that cave and that forest?" Artemis said "The cave had a big tiger inside and I don't know about the forest."
Cross smiled and nodded as he walked back to the flowers and signed "I'll come back soon. Then I will take you with me, okay?" Artemis signed "Come back soon Big Brother." Cross put her down and signed "I will." Artemis waved good bye and the bell chimed again, making her smile.
Cross waved and teleported back to the top. Artemis sat down in the flowers with a smile as she played with the bell, listening to it's chiming sound.
