Everyone scrambled for safety. The glasses from the windows were shattered all over the place as the gunmen outside kept shooting inside the mansion.
"Get down! get down! Shaw kept shouting to everyone. Sharon was visibly shaking, she was very scared. She had never heard the sound of guns at such close range. She kept screaming with every sound of a gun she hears. Every other person in the living room including Avero were calm. They were thinking of the actions to take.
Mr Lancaster suddenly comes down with a rifle in his hand.
"Common boys go grab your guns he yelled at them.
Everyone ran to their rooms and returned with hand guns. Sharon was surprised to see every Lancaster had a gun. Even Avero was handed a pistol by Dane.
"Alright everyone take your positions we have practiced this so many times now this is a real life situation. Do nor forget all the trainings we have been having "Mr Lancaster barked at his sons.
Every Lancaster from the age of ten has always been trained on how to shoot by Arden Lancaster his wife. Mr Lancaster didn't want to take chances he has trained his boys how to safe guard themselves in the midst of situations like this. He has always told them that one day they will need those trainings and now they need it. Avero was taught how to shoot by her father Mr Huffington.
Everyone moved to their positions. Avero was asked to keep Sharon safe.
"Alright boys its time to show these guys they are messing with the wrong family. "He said quietly but firmly.
The Lancasters started shooting at the unknown gunmen who were taken by surprise. They were already advancing gradually towards the mansion to gain entry. One of the gunmen was hit by a bullet from Dane.
"I got one"
he screamed with excitement raising his hands up.
"Keep quiet, focus and drop those hands" his father lashed at him
But it was too late one of Dane hand was hit by a bullet before he could bring it down.
"Oh no"
he screamed grabbing his hand and rolling on the floor. He was in so much pain but no one came to help him. They all had to maintain their positions as their father had taught them.
One look at his son Mr Lancaster knew he will survive so he turned his attention back to the gunmen outside. He was getting very angry now.
Seeing Dane in so much pain was an overwhelming feeling for Sharon. She could no longer control her self. She felt a force take over body.
"I won't allow anybody die" she said rushing inside . She came out with pump action firearm. She rushed forward without care and unleashed bullets on the gun men.
At this point the gunmen decided to retreat. They were getting more than what they planned for. Sharon stepped outside to scan the area for any of them. She saw one of the gunmen struggling to escape. He was shot on the leg. She took hold of him and tied him up with his belt. She suddenly felt the force leaving her body. It was then she realized what she had done.
"Hey everyone come out "she yelled
"I have one of them." They all rushed out to see her standing with one of the attackers. Shaw quickly rushed forward to secure the man.
Take him to the underground room. We will question him later Mr Lancaster ordered his sons.
What he has just witnessed was too much for him.
Everyone was shocked and speechless at the actions of Sharon.
Where did she learn to shoot they kept asking themselves.
"Where did you learn to shoot "mr Lancaster asked Sharon curiously.
"Honestly sir, I have never fired a gun all my life, it just came to me like I have been doing it all my life."
Her story sounded too good to be true to any of them. Even Tobin at this moment was scared of her.
"How did you know the location of the pump action firearm "Mr Lancaster asked again. This particular gun was kept Ina secret wall behind the frame of his wife Arden Lancaster.
"That too I don't know. I just saw myself going to pick it up" she replied nervously
At this point memories of the past flashed through mr Lancaster mind. The pump action firearm belongs to his wife. While she was alive she was the best shooter in the family. She was a marine soldier before she retired to focus on her marriage . The way Sharon handled the gun and going out recklessly is exactly the way she behaves.
"What could be happening mr Lancaster asked himself. Sharon reminds me of Arden. I will have to keep her under close observation then."
"Alright he said I believe you. It could be due to adrenaline rush".
"Shaw call the workmen to come take care of everything here. I will be in my study."
"Also call the doctor to take care of the injured man I want him in perfect condition before we start the questioning."
With that he walked away thoughtfully. He was thinking of the person who will have the nerves to attack his home.
Sharon went to her room in deep thought too. She couldn't understand what just happened.
"I have never shot a gun. So how did I know how to handle that gun?"
