tak! tak! tak!
the sound of the blackboard and chalk was a bit irritating but the students and the tearcher are used to it. Class 2-A are currently having their last period which is maths.
"when the area and the lengths of the three sides of a triangle are known, to find the smallest angle, take the two longest sides and calculate the area. conversely, to find the largest angle, take the two shortest sides.."
The teacher keep on talking and explaining as she writes formulas on the board. Most of the students are dazzling and didn't pay attention. Well, young people nowadays are very lazy and only attracted to things like games or socialising. Only some of them really want to learn and pay attention in class.
Amy are one of those kids who always pay attention in class. Her hands are writing fast while her eyes and ear are focused on the lecturer in front. With her left hand writing and her right hand's finger clicking the calculator, she always on the same speed with their math's lecturer.
However, it's different for Nick. He's smart indeed but he's probably can be labelled as the laziest person in the class. A genius perhaps? He always scored A in all his subjects but the reality is he doesn't really study much. He just something listen once and somehow, managed to remember it in an instant. He's really into video games and sport since it doesn't only need brain.
Nick glanced at his watch for every 5 minutes.
'Why is the time being surprisingly slow? She's been repeating the same formula since last class.. i wanna play my Xbox.... URGHHH'
He lifted his right hand and pushed his fingers though his hair. Nick moved his sights to the classroom's window. He sighed lightly and hoped that the lecture will end as soon as possible.
*ringgggg!!!
the class ended and it was already time to go home. Nick face lighted up a bit as he was planning on playing video games with Amy after school.
He then turned his head to Amy's direction and say "let's go to my house" without realising a sound because they're a bit far and they don't wanna scream. Amy noticed what Nick was delivering and make a thumb up while winking with a wide smile. Amy then went out of the class and rushed to catch-up their math's teacher because she have some questions.
They meet at the school's gate because unsurprisingly, Amy took literally 30 minutes just to ask one question to their math's teacher. She didn't notice the time as she was really focused just now. But nick predicted this, that's why he said that he'll wait at the school gate.
"sorry! I didn't realise that it's been half an hour"
"yeah, i kinda predicted that"
Amy grinned and scratched her neck while apologising. Nick just rolled his eyes and sigh. Well, it's not like he can get mad at that cute face.
they walked until amy's house together.
Amy. 165cm and 48kg. A long silky black hair and shiny black eyes. The dark aesthetic type. Her skin is white clear and she has a mole at her neck.
Despite how she looks, Amy actually kinda gives the sunny vibes. She's very energetic,carefree and can be labelled as the happy go lucky type.
She doesn't live with her parents as they're working oversea. Her parents divorced when she was 7. Her mom took care of her until she was 12. Her mom got married to another man and she started to live by herself since she was 12. Her dad was the one who gave her money and shelter but he doesn't live with her because he works oversea.
"NICK!"
amy waved her right hand close to nick's face. nick was a bit startled and moved her hand.
"what?"
"what we're you thinking about?"
"uh.. nothing" nick lied and turn his sight from amy.
"hehe... did someone confessed to you today?"
"no."
amy sighed and fasten her pace. nick was left behind about one meter.
she then turn herself facing nick and walks backwards. a grin appeared on her face. she make a disappointed face 'the one with closed eyes' and put the back of her hand on her forehead dramatically.
"uh.. it must've been nice having a new girlfriend every month! my gosh! what a cruel man nick is! someone need to stop hi-"
nick fasten his pace and kissed amy's right cheek before she could even continue her words. she was a bit shocked and freezes for a minute.
Nick grin and left her behind. Amy came to her sense after a few seconds and chased nick.
"hey, damn you!" amy frown.
"ouch.. are you sure you're a girl?"
"what did you just sa-"
"i said what i said", nick winked.
Amy smacked nick's back and they started to race until amy's house.
Their giggles can be heard if you stand 10 feet away from them.
Nick. Even thou he's an athlete, he have a white skin. He don't even have pimples or sunburn. with brown wavy hair, blue eyes, 183cm tall, perfect eyebrows and long eyelashes, you can say he's the 'dream boy'.
He's also one of their school top students
he knew amy since they're 5 because their moms are close friends. He's really close with Amy than anyone else.

they stopped racing as they arrived at amy's house. both of them looked exhausted from all those running.
Amy rest her hand on her knees and panted. Nick helped amy to open the door and they were greeted with amy's messy living room. The couch was packed with pillows and amy's favourite blanket. The coffee table was full of empty junk food's plastic empty mineral water bottles.
But the other places are clean. Untouched. Even her room is clean. That means she's been sleeping on the couch.
Nick glared amy. Amy just smile innocently and scratch the back of her neck. She laughed awkwardly and avoided nick eyes.
He was a bit angry. Not to amy but to himself. He promised to take care of amy but looks like he failed. Nobody really take that oath seriously but Nick was serious. He still remember the oath he said when he was 7.

"I pwomise that i will take cware of amy!"
Amy's mother patted nick's head softly. She chuckled a bit.
"Thank you, nick. I hope you will."

Nick sighed and run his fingers though his hair.
Slowly, amy approach nick and patted his back softly using her right hand. Hoping that nick won't be angry.
Nick grabbed her right hand and take a deep breath.
"amy..."
"uh- uhh... y-yes?"
"I don't want an explanati-"
"i! i can! I can... EXPLAIN!"
nick rolled his eyes.
"we already talk about this. you're not supposed to sleep on the couch. your dad bought you a bed to sleep on. and haven't i told you not to eat junk food too much? it's not healthy for you. no. I mean for any human being. and i appreciate that you only drink mineral water, but can you throw the bottles atleast?just collect the bottles in one plastic bag and put them on the recycle bin. and I bet you've been watching movies until late night. You mustn't be like that. You need to stick to the sleep schedule i gave you. you should've eat proper meal, not all these junk foods. you could've called me. I thought you promised not to sleep on the couch anymore. We made a deal, amy."
damn, i feel like I'm being scold by a mom.
amy try to hold her laugher.
I feel like a mom.
nick chuckled.
silence filled the room for a while.
"pft!"
Amy can't hold back her laughter anymore. She burst out loud, she even cried.
It was joined by Nick's laugher too.
"seriously, you need to clean this mess now."
Nick was trying to be serious again.
Amy frowned and started to clean the mess.

half an hour passed by already. amy was done with her task too.
she glanced at the clock.
4.32 evening.
She jumped on her bed and sighed softly.
That was exhausting.. well, thanks to nick.
Suddenly amy stand up from the bed. Talking about nick, where did he go? Amy went to the living room and noticed that nick isn't there.
but,
a she smelled something.
something....
....delicious.
She ran to the kitchen and spotted nick cooking.
She was facing nick's back. Nick was wearing an apron. His hand was fast and you can see his veins until his elbow.
Damn, that's hot! I can get nosebleed from this view!
Amy blushed a bit.
Slap!
Come back to your sense, Amy!
Amy slapped her right cheek. It made a loud sound, Nick was a bit startled and flinched.
He turn his head and saw Amy. They made eye contact.
Amy nose started to bleed. But she didn't realise that. Nick eyes widen and he rushed towards Amy.
He took a tissue and pulled amy's chin facing him. Gently, he wiped amy's blood.
"amy! what were you doing?!"
Amy look dumbfounded.
"uh.. wha-what was i doing?"
"HUH?!! you were slapping yourself!"
"ahahaha... did I?"
"yes-"
Nick didn't manage to finish his word. He notice something.
what is this smell? don't tell me i forgot to turn off the stove...
Amy noticed that there's some smokes behind Nick.
Amy tilted her head so that she can see what's behind nick.
"hey.. is that normal?" she pointed at the pan.
Nick turn his head and saw the pan that he was using was on fire!
"no."
He rushed there and take of his shirt. He tried to turn of the fire by wagging his shirt repeatedly on the pan.
after a few minutes, he managed to extinguish it.
Nick wiped his forehead as it was covered with sweat.
"pft!"
Amy was flinching as she was holding back her laugher.
The kitchen was filled with silence.
"BHAHAHAHAHAHA!" nick laughed. his face redden.
They both didn't have a choice but to eat ramen .

Wow! I've burned amy's kitchen!
Nick felt a huge amount of guilt and can't take a wink of sleep. 😃
