Chapter 6 - Cassiria x Elves

Cassiria shows us the room that was on the third floor. It was a simple guest room, but it was huge. There were two beds and a nightstand between them, the windows were closed with glass, and a beautiful green curtain.

After seeing this room, my curiosity to know what the elf queen's room was like was too great. I hope I get a chance to at least take a look.

"This is the fourth Aros Silverstein-sama, I hope it will give you some rest after your long journey." The elf says.

"I thank you, Cassie!"

"Sure! Excuse..."

Cassiria leaves us alone in the huge room. As I think of things to do, Alfred looks uncomfortable about something. This intrigues me a lot, since I didn't see this posture even when we were traveling here.

"Okay, Silverstein-sama, I leave this room only to you, maybe I can get a hotel close by. Anything I communicate my location with you."

"You can relax Alfred, you will sleep here in this room, that's my order!"

Being a butler, I imagine he never slept in the same room as me. So I order him to stay. And with that he quickly lies down on a bed and sleeps soundly. He must have been tired from serving and fighting me at that time. I have to repay somehow one day. I wasn't very tired, so I hadn't laid down yet. Luckily, Cassie was still around in the huge hallway that the Central Tree had.

I leave the room, close the door so no one bothers Alfred. As I'm sneaking around so I don't make too much noise, I see an unbelievable scene.

"Cassiria, did you just take them to the room? Are you stupid or what? It was supposed to at least offer something to eat, they came from a long way away. You just let me down really..."

I see two more elves, blocking Cassiria's path, and humiliating her at the same time. The features of the two were clearly theatrical, it was shameless that they were making faces to make Cassiria feel bad.

"That's right Cassiria, since you're so useless, you could satisfy the guest with that pretty appearance, since you look like a prostitute." The other says.

The curses were so heavy that my chest burned with anger, I wanted to jump forward and confront them right there. But that wasn't a problem I could help with. And since Cassiria is Lukia's secretary, I imagine she won't keep quiet.

"I'm really sorry, I'll arrange something to entertain you for tonight."

WHICH IS!?

My big surprise was negative, seeing that Cássiria accepted the cursing, without even replying.

"Now it's Cassiria, you've ruined everything. I think Lukia-sama will take action and kick you out of the Central Tree!"

The elves advance on Cassiria, and each one kicks her leg, causing her to lose her balance and writhe on the floor. The elves didn't seem to show any remorse for Cassiria, and they walked out laughing.

My body was paralyzed by the shock of the event, but then I decided to get closer so I could help Cassiria who was on the ground. Before I can even take a step, she opens the hallway window, and jumps out.

I get a huge worry, so I run to the window, thinking she's done something stupid. But when I get there, I see a beautiful wing opening.

The wing was beautiful and transparent, it had a leaf design, which seemed to be characteristic of the Elf Kingdom. The moment it opened, it gave off a glow that anyone would be delighted with.

My vision was so amused that I saw her descending to the base of the Tree, sitting down and leaning against it. She started to cry, but very quietly, put her arms on her knees and squeezed them. This obviously squeezed my heart in a very big way. She was so kind to us, why are you treating her badly?

I run up the stairs until I reach the first floor. I come across some elves who were scared to see my despair. I see the doors and open them running, I go around the Tree and there I find Cassiria. I get closer, crouch in front of her, and put my hand on top of her head, moving it from side to side.

"Why did you let those elves mock you?" I ask.

Cássiria looks at me with a crying face and her eyes widen. She shouldn't be being comforted by the lord of another realm, but when she would say something like, "What are you doing here Aros Silverstein-sama?", I just give her a smile.

"Don't worry about me, I was on my way to talk to you and I came across that horrible scene."

"M-pardon me for seeing how weak I am..." She lowered her head.

"Weak? How can I find that from Lukia's secretary? It really doesn't cross my mind."

She doesn't understand why I'm comforting her, she sheds tears and hugs me. I'm surprised by the situation, but then I hug her too and let the moment take its toll. The feelings at that moment are strong, when she remembers all this, she will feel guilty. I hope I can help you at this time.

"I'm so weak, I can't even defend myself from offenses like theirs, I'm barely being useful to Lukia-sama. I can get dumped anytime, I wanted to be perfect for Lukia-sama." She blurts out everything she has to say, almost like a declaration." The crying voice echoes in my ears.

"Being perfect for someone is something very difficult. I had a younger sister, after a day I had a hard time, she started supporting the house and I would sit and watch her work a lot. Until one day I had to abandon her. , leave her alone in another place, where I cannot return." I vented too.

"Why are you telling me this Silverstein-sama?" She asks.

"To show you, that even I, lord of Lalario, am not perfect for those I love... It's very difficult to be perfect, I don't know a person who really is. just try to be the person you are, then you will be perfect for the other person."

Cassiria looks at me with her eyes wide and emotional, she kept staring at me while I was saying whatever came to my mind. It was a nice speech, but it wasn't all I wanted to say to her at the time.

"Th-Thank you, Silverstein-sama."

"By the way, it doesn't have to be so formal, you can just call me Aros!"

"T-Thank you, Aros-sama, I appreciate it..."

At the time she thanked me, I saw her eyes close little by little until completely. She had fallen asleep in my arms. It showed how tired she was these days. Maybe having someone to vent about it made her take the weight off her back.

I had never been in such a situation before, so I figured she needed some rest. With light movements, I lifted her like a princess and headed for the central tree.

I climb the stairs, Cassiria in my arms, looking like a knight carrying the rescued princess to her room. I pass through the hallway, and I see the two elves who were humiliating Cassiria. The two look at me, and are amazed. They come towards me, and I continue walking normally until I reach the other stairs.

"Silverstein-sama, forgive us for carrying this person, she is an inexperienced employee here at the Central Tree, she is always getting into trouble...so please let us punish her—"

"I think enough has been said. I'll leave it to Lukia, that's where she feels safest. Thanks for the concern."

I interrupt the insults the elves were hurling at Cassiria, and head back up the stairs to Lukia's room, not even looking at the elves' faces. I feel behind, the elves get annoyed, but they don't do anything.

Arriving at Lukia's room, I do the same thing Cassiria had done when we arrived. I knock 3 times and enter, Lukia looks at me and gets scared thinking that something had happened to Cassiria.

"Don't worry, she just fell asleep." I say.

I place Cassiria on Lukia's couch and head back to the door. Lukia gets up and goes to Cassiria with a worried face. I see that she does care about Cassiria, that gave me a great relief.

"I don't like to meddle in these matters, but I would like you to see the relationship between the employees here... Well, anyway, good night Lukia."

I catch Lukia's attention, and close the door.

Arriving in the guest room, I still see Alfred sleeping like a rock, he hasn't moved an inch since I left. He was very tired, so I decided to get into bed as soon as possible.

"Apparently you're getting along well with these women, old man."

When I fall asleep I hear the voice that has helped me twice, it was still distorted but less so than when it helps me. I thought it was some system voice, so it could help me. Kind of like an RPG game.

"Who are you? Still, thanks for helping me."

"I wasn't helping you old man, this is my body, if you die I die too!"

Her voice was very cocky, and she called me old man, as if she knew my age before she was reincarnated here.

"What do you mean, your body?"

"Haven't you noticed yet, that you're in a different body?"

"I noticed, but not without who it is."

"That's why old man, this body is mine! I am the real Aros Silverstein."

The moment he said those words, I was quite scared. I didn't know what was going to happen, because I didn't know the reason for this meeting in my dreams.

"So you are the real owner of this body? So you know how I got here?"

"No, forget it, I also have no idea how you took my body."

His harsh words made me lose hope of going home, even though I didn't even think about it, after all my other self was dead. It was painful and desperate to know that I couldn't go back.

Before, my vision was dark, only I was inside that dream, but little by little I see another person. She was just like me, but her hair was white. She was a white-haired Aros Silverstein. It wasn't as ugly as I imagined.

"So what did you call me here for?" I ask.

"Actually, I didn't call you here, it just happened that your dream took you to this territory of mine."

"So it was a coincidence, I wanted to ask you several questions, original Aros."

"What is it, old man?"

"How do I get your help? I see that only in situations of danger do you call me, but I want to call you at times when I don't know a spell, or how the kingdom works."

"Well, you can just call me using your mind. But the truth is that I don't want to help you, I was just saying things, so my body doesn't suffer anything."

Very rude and direct.

"Okay, old man, looks like our time is running out. You better not do anything to my body."

"Right, right."

Really our time was running out, I was recovering from the dream. So I just walk in the opposite direction of him, not because that was the exit, but because I wanted to look stylish.

...

The next day, Alfred was the one who woke me up. Even though I've tried to sink in for a long time, I thought that sleeping I would be sure.

The certainty that I was reincarnated in another world.

So I get up, and I see that the dawn in the Realm of the Elves, was more beautiful than the night. The elves all seemed in the mood for a long day again.

And then I put on my cloak, my boots, and follow Alfred who was already at the bedroom door waiting for me.

"Silverstein-sama, Lukia's secretary just came by and said she has breakfast for everyone!"

"A breakfast? How magnificent, I'll be satisfied for sure."

Our room was on the third floor, so it wasn't as far away as Lukia's room. We just go down the beautiful, well-structured stairs that the Elves made.

I felt like I was forgetting something, and I came to a ridiculous conclusion which was: "if I don't remember, it wasn't important."

When we were arriving at the first floor, I saw that it was quite empty. I imagined that the elves had already had breakfast and all that was missing was me. But before I could even sigh.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AROS SILVERSTEIN!!"

Several elves who worked there were gathered next to Lukia and Cassiria. They appeared with various confetti that I had no idea existed in this world.

And together with them, they put a table very well stuffed with food, for a birthday boy. It ranged from fruits to the most elaborate sweets that existed.

"Thank you all so much, it will be an unforgettable day for me to be by your side!"

My simple thanks excite the elves who worked there. Lukia and Cassiria were smiling, it looks like there hasn't been a party there for a long time.

"Congratulations Aros, you are now officially an adult!"

"Yes, I thank you, Lu-"

Before I finish my sentence, Lukia pushes me against the wall the same way she did when we first met.

"Your gift, it will only be later, get ready huh..."

"W-okay...!!"

"Anyway, please sit at that table over there."

The table was really huge, it would fit a whole family and there was still plenty of space. On top of it, there were many foods that I was dying to try in this new world.

"Thank you so much Lukia! I really admire your effort!"

"You don't have to, today is a special day!"

After a lot of chatting, I finally sit down at the table.

I sit down next to Lukia, who was in the middle of the table. What everything indicates there is an order of accents where every elf has its place. I keep looking this way and that to see if I was stealing someone's chair.

"Don't worry Aros, today you can sit wherever you want." Lukia saw that I was worried about it, so she made me feel like it was my home.

I breathe a sigh of relief, and I go back to analyzing the good things I had on the table, finally taking everything I had interested in and saying "Let's eat!".

During my short-lived relief, another concern comes to me. I look at the cutlery and it's really fork and knife, even though I don't get along with them.

While my silly worry was consuming me, something stranger in the mood left me paralyzed.

"Aros, what kind of prayer are you saying?" Without even noticing, I said a sentence in Japanese, something everyone in my world says before eating. And who immediately realizes is Lukia.

"Oh yeah, that's something I say before I eat, it's culture from a country far away from here."

This half-assed explanation managed to convince the others who were at the table, I just have to worry about not doing something stupid like that in very important places.

"Aros, I wrote the treaty, and now they are with the ministers... If all goes well, the treaty will arrive at night, for you to sign."

I was so engrossed in the food that I couldn't formulate an answer with my mouth, so I just give an affirmative sign with my hand.

Time had passed quickly, the amazing foods they had put in, it was enough for me to puff up my stomach and not eat all day.

Cassiria gets up and says "Excuse me, I would love to stay with you more, but there's a lot of work upstairs, if I have some time off, I'll come back here!", she says that and goes up the stairs again to her room.

So left on the table, me, Cassie, and the other two elves who were tormenting her last night. Cassiria just eats her breakfast normally.

The two elves are looking at Cassiria and whispering to each other, as if establishing a plan or just making fun of her.

Cassie obviously doesn't seem to care about the two elves, she just eats her breakfast. Feeling uncomfortable with the weather, I shift my chair to face her.

"Cassiria, about last night… is everything okay?"

Cassiria is startled by my sudden arrival, and drops her cake back on her plate.

"Y-Yes, thank you for worrying and I'm sorry for bothering you yesterday. Please, a thousand pardons!!"

When I was about to say that everything was fine, the two elves interrupt, apparently to humiliate Cassiria.

"haha, it looked like a little baby yesterday huh, Cássiria, had to be carried by the visitor to Lukia's room, pathetic!"

"You're right, pathetic!"

The two begin to laugh in front of Cassira, humiliating her. I was really irritated by the situation, so I decide to get up.

"I don't care about carrying Cassiria, because she is now my friend!"

Cassiria gives me a wide look, she didn't expect this sudden sentence, and the two elves are also intrigued by the way I got up for calling Cassiria a friend.

"If you'll excuse me, I'm going to take a walk around the city, it seems to be so big and so beautiful, I'm really curious about what I can see. Don't you want to come with me, Cassiria?"

Both the elves and Cassie are paralyzed. None of them knew what to say.

"I-I c-can I go with you? Is that it?"

Cassiria scrambles so much to speak, it looks like she was beatboxing.

"Of course, I so wanted to walk around town with my friend!"

The elves not even believing my words, start to lower their heads.

"Of course I will, thank you very much for the opportunity Aros-sama!"

Cassiria very happy, goes up the stairs to change and warn Lukia. As I watch her quickly ascend, I overhear a whisper from the elves.

"I've never seen a person call Cassiria a friend!"

"But I think Cassiria didn't even have friends..."

That whisper was perfect, to destroy my heart and my feelings right away. I found it impossible not to be friends with Cássiria, a person as good as her, who cares about others.

After a lot of sadness in my heart, Alfred appears and asks.

"Are you going out Silverstein-sama?"

"I will, but don't worry, I already have an escort."

Alfred is surprised, and relieved that someone else is going with me.

"Bye Alfred, try not to hit on the cook elves."

Alfred gives an embarrassed smile and says "It's fine.", as he goes upstairs again to the guest room.

Waiting for some time, I see Cassiria coming down the stairs. She was wearing a beautiful yellow dress, to go well with her hair. She was also wearing a very stylish white hat.

"We will?"

"Sure!"
