"Deborah, you are comfortable right?"
"Yes, dear. Of course, I am. I have such a good friend to my service." Her smile reached her eyes, clinking with joy.
"I never had guests before," I admitted.
"But you are giving me 5-star hotel treatment nonetheless." Her smile never faded.
She fixed her glasses and looked at me again, "Dear are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" I was confused.
"Oh okay, I need to change my glasses. I thought your cheek was swollen." She looked skeptical.
In a hurried motion I smacked both of my cheeks, I winced.
Why didn't I notice it before? Must be a punch from that punk.
"I'm fine, Deborah it's nothing."
"It doesn't feel like nothing if you winced dear. Is someone hurting you?" She got up and came towards me.
