A while later, Jiang Ai suddenly got a call from an unknown number. The phone was Hod1eX, the phone he used for his work, so he wasn't worried or anything. He just never bothered to save many numbers. Although the Jiang family, specifically Jiang Ai, dictated downstairs, they still had real identities. Most of the Jiang family, other than 'the downstairs' part of their life, was working in business.
Although his family tried to convince him otherwise, he became a surgeon. He was often called Miracle Doctor. All of his surgeries could have a 10% success rate, but the patients would always survive, and most recovered enough to continue daily operations.
He mainly specialized in brains ad hearts. It's also what most of his research focused on. He often did transplants whenever he had time.
The call was from one of his patients. He re-routed the call through an assistant and told them to take care of it. He found these things especially troublesome.
It's not like he genuinely cared too much about the patient in general. If his indifferent behavior to death was affected by anything.
It would be the day his mother died. That day his fascination with the human body and brain intensified.
Although he was interested beyond a normal, amount it couldn't be called an obsession. At the end of the day, he had sympathy and ridicule and maybe sorrow for everyone.
The next morning, was Saturday. The twins were back to normal. Yangmin greeted the 3 servants with a smile while Eumin gave a brief nod to everyone.
Lili ended up staying the week. She was already up early at 5:45 to make breakfast. The servants only cleaned the house and rarely made breakfast as that was something the, Master, could do. Lili heard from the servants that the house wakes up officially at 6 o'clock. They didn't tell her is that this is just when the daily functions such as bathing, eating and talking start at 6. The twins and even the master usually woke up and trained their bodies before 6 AM each day.
The two walked into the kitchen and greeted Lili.
"Aunt Lili... good morning," the two said. After that, they went on as usual. They grabbed their customized water bottles, courtesy of their father, and walked to the front door.
Eumin was wearing black legging s with a tank top and her new military boots. Yangmin was wearing the same thing but had on sweatpants instead.
Before they walked out Yangmin gave a wink to Aunt. It looked like he was saying, 'pay attention. Although Lili couldn't get the message because she was busy admiring the cute kids walk out the door.
The twins walked into the yard the size of a football field and started warming up. They did some stretches and then the basic movements to warm up before they sparred.
The fight was fast-paced, and each strike was more accurate than the next. Although Eumin was a genius in marksmanship, she didn't fall behind in martial arts either.
After taking an attack each twin rebounded immediately with a deadly counterattack. From an outsider's point of view, it looked like they were trying to hurt each other.
The employees all looked for a while before continuing their work. They had seen this sight for a couple of days and were less surprised than Lilli.
Above them was a figure of a man smoking a cigarette. He watched with a gentle smile before going out to join the two.
Lili was watching in awe and almost burned breakfast.
"I will have an operation later today. You will be here by yourselves for a while. Oh, Lili is here, just ask her" he turned around and said, "I'll be back later."
*2hrs later, In Surgery*
"Doctor, the patient is losing blood fast," a nurse who was new to the job was feeling panicked. The patient was a man in the service who had been shot in his chest while on a mission.
There was noise all around her. She couldn't focus on her job which made her feel even more nervous. She couldn't help it when she called out even if she knew her voice would distract the doctors at work.
Jiang Ai looked at the patient before quietly saying", Shut Up." Even though it was said quietly everyone in the room heard it. The voice was smooth and warm, but the words that came out of its mouth were brutal.
Jiang Ai smoothly directed the team while fluently completing his task.
He wiped his brow one last time as the patient stabilized. Afterward, the man was stitched up, and gloves were pulled off.
The first thing said was, "Nurses come here,"
"I understand your nervousness as this was your first procedure. You should keep in mind that this is life and death," he smiled, "that man would have died had I not calmed you down," the mellow voice spoke softly, but his words left no room for compromise.
"Overall, after your breakdown, you proceeded nicely. Everything was provided and cared for thanks to you and the team. Thank you" the man walked out with all eyes still on him.
