The next morning Jin and I woke up looking like our normal selves again. I knocked on the bedroom door to wake Satoshi up. He cautiously opened the door and immediately hugged me. He said that there were a demon and an angel in the house last night. I told him to set down on the couch because Jin and I had to tell him something. I started by saying that we went back to the ruins to test out our weapons. When I swung my scythe a Hell portal opened up again so we turned into our demonic and angelic forms and went through it. The next thing we noticed was our forms had changed into what he saw last night. The power we gained from the ultimate weapons altered our form and greatly enhanced our abilities. He asked us how powerful our abilities had become. I went on to describe what happened and his mouth dropped. I told him that we will have to be extra careful around other players now even more than before.
Satoshi hugged us both and said that we were given these weapons and abilities for a reason. I told him even if that's true the power we now possess could wipe out every player including himself. I could tell the thought of that happening scared him but I wasn't going to make it apparent that I knew. We all prepared some breakfast before we headed to the guildhall. Jin and I had a quest to do and Satoshi likes going to see all the guild members. Our quest seemed like a simple one but we were taking a team with us just to be safe. Nobody in the guild knew of our enhanced abilities and we weren't in any hurry to show them either. As long as we can finish the quest with no casualties then everything will be okay.
When we got to the guild I announced that there was a quest and said that anybody was welcome to join. Everybody was hesitant until our buddy mage stepped forward. One after the other started stepping forward until we had a solid team formed. We briefly went over the perimeters of the quest and set off. When we arrived at the location we noticed that it was another set of ruins buried deep within a forest. The mage looked over to us with a concerned look. I immediately reassured them that everything will be okay and that we would all return to the guild where Satoshi would be cooking a feast. As soon as they heard Satoshi was cooking they were hyped to get the quest over with.
We headed inside making sure to explore everything. It took us a bit longer than usual since I refused to split up the group as a precaution. We eventually came to another familiar sight. It was another mural with runes written on it. We asked our mage to translate it for us. After about five minutes he told us that it said 'The King of Demons will enslave the world when the chosen ones have made themselves known.' The group asked what it meant and I wasn't sure. We quickly left before another Hell Portal opened up. When we got outside I told the guild members to head back and enjoy Satoshi's feast. Now that Jin and I were alone we started discussing what the runes said.
If I'm understanding what the message said the King of Demons is going to enslave the world because of us. Have we been that reckless unknowingly? Jin had a worried look on his face about all of it. Is having the power worth the enslavement of the entire world? So many other questions are floating through my head right now. I told Jin that we should head home and wait for Satoshi. When we arrived there was something off about the house. Nothing looked disturbed but I couldn't shake this feeling that there was something wrong. Jin and I teleported to the guildhall to see how the feast was going. When we arrived I got the same strange feeling. We walked around to see if anybody was in the dining hall but all we found was broken plates and food everywhere. There wasn't a single player there. Now we were starting to get concerned that something major had happened. We decided to check one more place and that was the practice field outside. When we got there we saw another Hell portal but this time it was three times the size of the previous two.
Thinking the worse has happened I asked Jin what we should do next. He said the first thing we had to do was close this portal but we didn't know what to expect from one this size. We took our weapons out, changed our forms, and headed through the portal. We weren't excited to be back in Hell again but we can't leave the portal open. We started looking around to see if we could see anything suspicious besides demons. At first, we didn't see anything but all of a sudden demons started swarming from all around us. We made quick work of the first wave but soon bigger and stronger demons showed up. Now providing a bit more of a challenge we had to get serious about how we attacked. The next thing we knew the ground started shaking and the remaining demons scattered. We knew something big was coming our way. Appearing out of the flames was this enormous demon with tattered wings and burning flesh.
"The chosen ones have finally come out of hiding and one of them brought my scythe with them." spoke the demon.
This was the King of Demons standing before us. A demon is bigger than any we have fought so far. Why have you opened this Hell portal?
"I'm going to enslave the whole world and by doing so I will be free."
"Not if we put an end to you right here and now."
"No other creature can kill me!"
"We will see about that."
The biggest fight we've ever been in was upon us now and the future of every player depended on us winning.
