In the slums of a city called Amaria, a small cat person is sprinting through the patchwork of paths and shortcuts, trying to outrun her pursuers. Clutched in her grip is a small ornate dagger that gives off a profound aura. This dagger is a relic that the girl, named Sophia, had stolen from a merchant rather skillfully for an orphan.
Sophia finds a place to catch her breath, deciding to appraise the dagger.
"Appraisal!"
"Sh*t" she cursed, "this is probably worthless."
As she says this, the knights round the corner, causing her to sprint frantically away. While running, she trips, and in her tumble accidentally slashes herself across the chest with the dagger. This causes extreme pain, although no mark is left behind to show for it. While Sophia is rolling around in agony, she doesn't notice the dagger explode into particles of light and fly into her chest as if panicking.
Sophia has stopped moving, and while still breathing, her eyes are lifeless. While her consciousness is fading, she hears a soft voice. The voice belongs to a woman, and while gentle, has a subtle cunning danger behind it.
{"You really messed up, huh? I was going to leave you like any normal person, but I caught on to something peculiar in your blood. I sadly didn't manage to salvage your complete soul, but I can still fix it...probably."}
As Sophia was only half of a soul at this point, no reactions were made.
{"Oh? Look at this soul here! What a conveniently timed shattering of a soul. Poor guy. Well, although it isn't the best match, it's an emergency so this will have to do."}

On a planet called Earth, a boy by the name of Felix was walking around the city as if waiting for something. Earlier that day he has spent all of his money buying a 'ticket to another world', and was now hoping for some event to happen to him.
His dream as a child was to become an overpowered hero with a massive harem...well a couple girls will do for him. Of course, things don't exactly go as planned for dear old Felix.
Truck-kun was taking the day off, and leaving work to Semi-san. Semi-san made a small miscalculation, and Felix was smashed on either side by two semi trucks. Oops...
The collision of the two trucks left Felix's body as meat paste, while his soul was shattered into hundreds of teeny-tiny little pieces. Well, human souls are small to begin with anyway.
His soul fragments were then picked up by the woman of the dagger, who used them to mend Sophia's soul.
Well...be careful of what you wish for Felix...
