Kuilei's eyes widened. Despite the poison paralyzing his entire body, he wanted to know the result of his sacrafice. Luo Si was looking down on him whilst standing parallel to the ground herself.
Although he had taken on most of the hundred-ish needles, the legendary character did not even think of relying on her scapegoat one bit, sliding backwards and up the tree trunk behind her. Fixating her position by freezing her feet onto it. The stuck needles not too far from her proved her decision to be a right one.
"Teacher, did I pass the toast?" The poison had spread to his head, affecting his talking. It wasn't painful, which made Luo Si more cautious.
"Yes. Yes, you passed. Now go." Luo Si was somewhat amused by the players current behavior. The non-existing fear over death gave the players a special place in the natives hearts.
"Then mom memo mote? (Then where will we meet up?)"
Luo Si vaguely guessed what her unnecessary savior was trying to say. "We will meet again when fate wills it."
This reply was really out of the the fallens expectation. With a sad tear in reaction Quan Kuilei dissolved into nothingness.
'Dude, how melodramatic does your death have to be?' Both cloaks were at a loss for words. The vibe made them feel like side characters.
"Damn, if I had the poison plate on that bitch would have been finished by now." The skinny shadow had recovered faster than expected, pulling off a brittle plate from his chest.
Remembering their original agenda, they quickly sobered up, only to find their target running away, again.
The hunt beginning anew.
The distance slowly but surely closing in. Not only because she had to dodge miscellaneous, but also because the others realms and movement techniques were a level above her's.
BROROAR*
However, after being chased for a quarter of an hour, a loud shout appeared out of nowhere, making the hunted girl smile. 'There is always a bigger fish.'
The sound was similar to the mature fire coal bear she was burdened with 2 weeks ago, but many times more frightening.
"What the?" Both hunters were greatly surprised when a big enflamed bear came right towards them. "This fucking bitch! She has lured us towards a 'Fury Flame Grizzly. That's a 1st grade killer beast!"
Wild animals that were categorized with the description 'Killer' were offbeat from their lesser. They had the right to stand on equal footing with Martial practitioners. A 1st grade killer beast for example could easily finish off a martial learner and held a big threat to those at the martial artist stage.
The grizzly was clearly hungry and pissed that someone undauntingly intruded his territory. Seeing food running inside its domain, the grizzly decided to pounce after it.
The tables had somewhat turned, as it was no longer 2 chasing one, but 1 hunting 3.
"Argh, this little rat. When I catch her, I'm gonna rip her into pieces." Cloak number 2 roared out of his lungs.
"Less talking more sprinting." The leader was 3rd in line as he was a bit slower than his accomplice.
He had not expected the mission to become so difficult. It was not too hard though as the 'Fury Flame Grizzly was only a 1st grade killer beast and equally fast in speed as them. "We will deal with the one behind us after killing the chick. Just hope we will not encounter more trouble."
SSHAH*
Fate was clearly not his attribute though, when the tables turned a second time. After crossing a trench, Luo Si cracked her eyes wide open, when she felt an unexpected uninvited guest crashing the party. She took a sudden right turn, gracefully evading a car-big snake head.
The small cloak behind her had not as much luck as she had though and was pierced in half by the snake's human sized tooth. "Jinx" was the last word that left his mouth, forever.
The other cloak was not doing any better. Both him and the bear shared the same destiny after he suffered a burning slash from the hungry predator. "No! I don't want to end like this. Shadow wheel kick!" Yet, all means were shattered in front of the vipers gapping mouth.
"I take that back. There is always a bigger shark in the ocean. Things are starting to get out of hand!" Luo Si wasted no time moving through the trees. She had identified the snake to be a 2nd grade Killer beast called 'Seven color Turtle Viper'.
Forget 1st grade killers. The grizzly was no different than a kitten in front of the amphibious reptile. While the grizzly barely fought of martial artists, they were just a snack for 2nd grades.
Skid* Slither*
'Shah' Crack*
Trees fell to both sides as the snake pulled her house after her.
Luo Si had made the right decision since the snake determined her to be next and followed her instead of digesting the already consumed meal. The poison on the eaten headhunters did not seem to have any effect on the viper.
Her expression had also become more serious. The number of hunters on her back might have plumed down to one, but that one could truly threaten her.
The snake had no intention of letting any prey escape her plate. Because of its size, the smaller animals would run out of range whenever it moved. So, it needed to lay low and wait until an unaware guest stepped into the trap. And when a victim stepped into the trap, it would make sure to not let it escape.
Luo Si became faster as she formed a layer of ice underneath her feet. Now that she had tamed the qi transformation source, conjuring coldness was not a problem any longer. The qi cup was frantically emptied and refilled when she stepped up her game. Her eyes travelled left and right, looking for opportunities to flee the closing in stalker.
'!'
She had not realized it at first, but a huge wall skedaddled itself in front of her. It looked like a slightly heightened plateau at first, but later stretched out and filled her whole field of sight.
"An impasse? No, it cannot end like this." She searched the wall in view.
Her eyes contractional fixed on a big gap to her left. "Please be deep."
Hong Luo Si set everything in motion to reach the cave.
500 meters… 200 meters.
