Sheylia's P.O.V
I hear footsteps coming down the stairs, I turn my head to the staircase and freeze when I see who it is.
"Oh, hey Lyde, what took you so long?" Gregory asks while setting up a board game, I stay frozen.
"My mom got a call from work, she had to help with something and she had to take the car, so I had to walk," Lyde says with his eyes roaming the room until falling on me, "sorry," he apologizes while still staring at me.
Mia grabs my arm and pulls me up the stairs,
"Hey! Where are you two going, we are just about to start the game!" Gregory yells,
"Bathroom, one sec!" Mia yells back while dragging me along with her. She opens the bathroom door and pushes me in, she slams the door behind her and locks it. She spins around and says,
"I'm so so so so sorry Lia, I-I didn't know he was coming!!",
"I wouldn't have asked you to come if I knew!!"
Still shocked I say,
"It's fine, I promised I would be here with you and I never break a promise,"
"No you don't have to if Lyde is here," Mia says looking down,
"Mia it's fine, nothing will happen, there are people in the same room as us, I'm not going to sit close to him and he can't because there is no where to sit that is close," I say trying to sound as calm as possible because I am currently freaking out right now. She looks up and smiles a bit,
"Okay, but why am I scared? He doesn't affect me, I need to calm down and pull myself together," she says while taking a deep breath in and releasing slowing.
"You're scared because you care for me and I appreciate that," I say flashing her a kind smile. She gives me a hug and we leave towards the basement.
Stepping down the last step, I look around the room and see that Lyde has decided to sit beside Josh on his own chair close to the television. So there is a good amount of distance between us, thank god!
Me and Mia get comfy on our couch while Gregory shuffles the cards.
"So, which colour do you want?" Gregory asks while holding two different coloured pieces, white and purple.
"You choose first," Mia says, I nod and take the purple piece, then she takes the white piece. I lean over towards Mia.
"Hey...um...what are we playing?" I quietly ask.
"Oh we are playing 'Sorry'," she replies, I mentally slap myself because I didn't even bother to look and see what game it was.
"You know how to play, right?" she asks,
"Yes yes I know how to play," I giggle, resulting in Will squishing my cheeks very gently. Kind of liking the feeling of someone being very gentle with me.
Mia then suddenly makes Josh go back to the start, making him throw insults at her.
"Dude calm down, it's just a game and don't talk to my friend like that!" I say sternly,
"Oh shut up!" Josh yells back, I place my hand in front of my mouth dramatically.
Will gasps,
"HOW DARE YOU YELL AT MY BABY!!!" Will screams,
"Yo babe breath, he isn't worth your energy and this is a very stupid argument so please calm down, and Josh it's just a game so chill," Brandon says while holding his boyfriend's hands to help him calm down. Will smiles at me, then throws a glare towards Josh, who just scoffs at the action.
A few moments later, I get a card saying that I get to place my piece in my home.
"I won!" I exclaim, trying to grab my purple game piece but it's just to far away. I glance up and see that only two people could move my piece, Josh or Lyde. Of course I pick Josh,
"Hey Josh, could you please move my purple piece to my home?" I ask kindly, pointing to my game piece. He just looks at me and doesn't do anything, but before I could ask Lyde, I see him place my piece in my home.
"Thanks," I quietly say, not making eye contact. I can feel his eyes on me as he says,
"No problem," with a big smile plastered on his face. Now I just wait for everyone to finish. Mia suddenly places her hand on my thigh, making me jump slightly from the sudden action. I look at her and she just smiles and whispers,
"I just wanted to see if anything would happen to Lyde if I touched you, I think he's jealous," she giggles quietly at the last part. I glance at Lyde, who is looking at us furiously.
I'm so confused, why would he be jealous? Still feeling Mia's hand on my thigh, I look down at it then at Lyde. Wanting to test it more, I place my head on Mia's shoulder. Mia getting what I'm doing she glances over at Lyde and he looks like he is going to kill someone he's so mad.
"Yo dude, it's just a game don't be so mad," Gregory says. I guess he saw how Lyde looked and assumed he was mad at not winning the game.
The game finally ends and we all help put it away.
