It has been two days since Ben spoke to Kara about wanting to make their marriage work out. Kara was still a bit unconvinced about the situation but she played alone. She was not sure If she did because she was just curious about what he was up to, or because her heart was too weak to resist him.
She returned home from work and she unconsciously expecting to see him, since in the last two days he got home before her.
"welcome ma," a maid welcomes her at the door, helping her with her bag. Her eyes ran through the sitting room hoping to see him but he was not there. A sudden feeling of emptiness washed through her.
Put yourself together. You should know that it was not going to be like the fairy tale, she encouraged herself as her feet moved her to her bedroom. The maid was walking in front of her and she had to bite her tongue multiply times not to ask about him.
