Chapter 4 - chapter 4

My hands shot to my eyes rubbing them. The bright sun invaded my eyes as if a mirror was shone my way just to blind me purposely. It was a cruel joke kids like to play.

I continue to rub my eyes taking me a long time to regain my sight properly, seeing blotches of red and silver dots crawling before my eyes.

When I finally looked up again, there was nothing but curious pigeons hanging out on the power lines.

It must have been my imagination then. I thought for sure, I saw a figure standing elegantly above the pole.

I need to stop hallucinating, I swear to god, if I kept seeing anymore things, I'm going to lose my mind.

I began to walk again and just as I vehemently curse my frustration, something caught in the corner of my eyes. A man dressed in elegant black suit, his hair neatly combed back that made him look even more sleek. He's trim, looking immaculate as he stood there, motionless like a statue with his hands deep in his pockets.

He caught my attention, perhaps because I don't see people normally dressed like that where I'm from. People dressed casual here in Florida with their Tommy Bahama shirts, shorts and flip-flops.

I stared at him, sharp eyes piercingly pointed at me. His glare was strong, and they were hypnotizing.

My breathing hitched as my stomach knotted and made a double flip. His gaze was locked on me making me shudder in heat.

What the heck does he want? I thought, feeling the heat of his stare burn a hole in me.

My eyes flicked to the ground overcome with shyness. There's something about his stare that is so magnetizing, so heavy that it may as well have its own gravity.

I dared to look up and steal a glance only to see that he's still staring at me.

I let out a shaky breath and surveyed him more, then I realized exactly who  he is.

He's the same man from the accident, the man in the tunnel, the beautiful man with a span of wings that could wrap around an entire sedan.

Although, his wings weren't visible this time, it was just him looking no more than any regular human.

I backed away hating this feeling of danger that made me feel like I must flee for my life.

I don't know whether if I should fear him or not. I'm pretty sure I knew exactly what he is. But it all depended whether he's the kind of angel who help people in times of trouble or he's the kind of angel who takes people's  lives.

I don't know.

I need to go.

I need to get out of here.

I began to turn around when suddenly a hand caught me and yanked me violently from where I stood.

"Are you stupid or something?" Snarled the familiar husky voice.
