Chapter 93 - Frost and Fire

Terek and Celestyn walk through the gate and step back out to the entrance of the Frost Wolf Clan's main gate. The winter breeze blowing briskly as snow began to fall. Two Guardians stood on each side of the gate staring off into the distance when they noticed to silhouettes appear in the snow.

"Who goes there?!" The one on the left side of the gate called out. The silhouettes could not hear as they were being battered by the wind. The one on the right nods to the left one and heads out closer to them. "Terek?" The figure questioned as they looked up to him. The Guardian revealed himself to be Connor, the red headed guardian who was like an uncle. "I suppose I'll ask when we get you guys safely inside." He covers Celestyn with his cloak.

Celestyn held tight on the cloak and walked with them back within the walls of the village.

"What brings you back with the Princess?" Came not asked as they got out of the wind at the Chiefs cabin. "Did… Did you guys fail?"

Terek looked at Celestyn who takes the cloak off and holds it out for Connor.

"My people are seeking refuge with the Elf kingdom as we speak, but things have gotten worse." Connor could see the seriousness as both Celestyn and Terek looked at the older man.

"Your father should be back soon. He went to speak with the Moon Clan. He said he had a vision of the land cracking and the snow turned to blizzards." Connor opens the door to the cabin. "Your grandfather is inside resting so be careful.

Celestyn nods and heads through. Terek starts to follow but stops next to Connor.

"Where's Jayce?" Connor asked him before as he stopped.

"He found his father… But it's something you may want to hear with Dad. That's one of the reasons why we're here." Terek didn't smile nor did he frown. Connor could see a more worried look from Terek. A look he's never seen from the young man in his 18 years.

The three walked into the Cheif's cabin and sat down on the couches within. They spoke of the events that happened, as well as Jayce's Godly parentage. Vincenz looked down as if he had known something.

"Your mother came to me and told me the truth… Since she too is a goddess, and you both are Demigods, she wanted me to know that Jayce is…" Vincenz stopped in his sentence as he stared down. "She told me she can see his future and right now there are two paths for him but he must not know."

Jayce looked at Celestyn, who had her eyes on the bowl of hot soup she had in her hands.

"Having the powers mother gave me, I think I know what path he will take… But I won't say." Celestyn spoke softly, her gaze not leaving the bowl.

"That future you saw father, may come true for that to happen." Terek looked over at Timber, who laid agaisnt the fire in the chimney. "But I agree with Celestyn. I won't say anything more."

The meeting continued throughout the night, not knowing what was going on on Fenrir and Jayce's end.

As the two were about to cross through the gate they came through, Apophis' pyramid ruptured into flames in the desert. His barrier falling to reveal the destroyed pyramid.

Fenrir turns quickly, in time to block a very familiar fist. "Hmmm. I didn't know expect the Glutton to return with Nightmare."

Beelzebub floats mere inches away, his bare fist in Fenrir's palm as he looked angry. "Your meandering allowed me to grow my arm back you bastard."

Fenrir smirked and looked up at the man with bat like wings. "Good. Then I can devour you whole this time."

Beelzebub glances over to Jayce, his scent similar to that of Fenrir's. "Mmm. Smells like you have a child. Would be a shame if I were to…." Before the Glutton could finish his sentence, Fenrir throws him down into the sand dune below him, punching him furiously.

"Jayce, go back and tell your mother Beelzebub and Nightmare are here." Fenrir continued to pound him into the sand and deeper, creating a hole as they go.

Jayce glanced over to Apophis' ruined pyramid in time to see the suited man transform into a colossal snake baring his fangs, eating away at a cloud of darkness. He then glanced over at his father before running through the gate.

Fenrir leaps back out of the hole, brushing sand off his pants. "Now I won't have to hold back. Get your ass up Beelzebub."

Sand explodes upward as Beelzebub flies out, slowly floating above him. "I was wondering if you would risk everything for him, but I am quite sad." He smirks. "I don't get to devour both of you, yet."

Fenrir starts to growl, his eyes glowing red as ice begins to form across the sand below him. "Keep yapping and I'll be devouring you instead." Fenrir leaps up into the air, his nails extended several inches as he starts to swipe at the Glutton.

"Oooh did I hit a sore spot?" Beelzebub questioned while avoiding Fenrir's swipes. "Maybe I'll devour that woman too." As he spoke those words, Fenrir's aura bursts out with his rage. His silhouette hidden from his fury as he began to transform. Fur sprouting from his arms and legs while they began to stretch longer. Fenrir lands back ontop of the frozen sand dune as a cold mist starts to form in the area surrounding the two. As Fenrir growled, his gaze never left from the Gluttton.

Across from him, Apophis could sense the Chaos deep inside Fenrir beginning to release once more. Unknowingly he would soon be fighting him to calm the Lone Wolf once again.
