Chapter 92 - Pyramid of Apophis

Apophis lead the way into his pyramid. Torches lined the halls, lit with blue fire until they came up to a set of double doors. The suited man pushed the doors open with one hand on each and leads the trio to a large room. A golden seat sat by a long table which lined with four chairs on each side.

"I assume you have something to ask of me so let us sit and discuss." Apophis said as he walked to he's golden chair.

"I'm sorry Apophis but we do not have the time to relax." Anubis stepped toward the th one, closer to Apophis.

"Before you speak, I already know. I brought us here because I felt their eyes on us"

Anubis' eyes widened. He felt something strange when they stood in the desert but he wasn't sure until now.

Jayce felt the same but he didn't want to look around to make it suspicious.

"I was wondering if you guys felt their gaze as well. This is why we came for your help Apophis." Fenrir crossed his arms and stared up at the red serpent eyes of Apophis as he sat on his throne. "Will you.."

Fenrir is interrupted as laughter bursts out from Apophis. "Let me have this Nightmare, I will only fight it and devour it as payment for helping you."

"You can have Nightmare and I will allow you to stay here. But be warned…" The pressure in the throne room thickened as Fenrir's aura began to burst from him. His eyes fiercely glowing red as he stared down the serpent of chaos.

"I will not cross you." Apophis stands from his throne then kneels down. "I who have no ruler swear if I cross you, my life is yours."

Anubis stared at Apophis. This was a being whom threatened Ra for more than a millennia, bowing at a potential threat more powerful. Anubis couldn't help himself as he too bowed beside Fenrir. "I shall return to father and tell him the news."

Meanwhile back in the Tower, a meeting is held at the highest point.

"Marchosias didn't last more than a minute… Beelzebub had been slayed by Fenrir, but is slowly recovering." A hooded figure stares up as the colossal Master stands outside of the tower, staring back. "She has sided with Fenrir… And on top of that, you have unleashed Nightmare." The Tower begins to tremble beneath the figure. "The whole point of giving you each powers beyond the cosmos' control was so you could keep order against Nightmare so THEY would not interfere."

"I… I'm sorry master… I thought he would be a threat to you and your dream."

The red glow glares up at the beast as the aura of his master pushes down agaisnt him.

"He IS ME…" He removes his hood revealing an older version of Fenrir. Long white hair slicked back, a thick beard covering his cheeks almost touching his chest. "That Fenrir is from a different timeline. A timeline in which he made different decisions." He stared down the beast in Gen closed his eyes. His aura slowly retracting back to its owner. "You have underestimated him far too many, Lenaran… As your creator, I am taking over this battle."

Lenaran began to speak, however feeling the gaze of his master from the side caused him to tremble and back down. "Yes… Master…"

"Once Beelzebub recovers, we will discuss our next move. As Nightmare is loose and I cannot stop it for now, we will allow it to run amok and keep him busy for the remaining time."

"Master, he has sought the help of Apophis…" Lenaran kept his eyes to the ground far below him as his master stopped.

"Hmm. He continues to surprise me after all." He turns back to Lenaran and looks up to him. "Let us continue to watch. I want to see how far this Fenrir will go. I want to see if he makes the same choice as I once did, or if he continues on this path." The man turns around and began to walk to the gate that sat atop the Tower.

Lenaran waited for him to leave. "Elder Domnus…" He called out. The Elder slowly appearing through the gate and revealed himself.

"Yes Master?" Domnus knelt down and asked.

"Retrieve the others…" His gaze still on the ground.

Domnus had only seen him for a moment but he could see it on his masters face. If he were to ask one question, there would possibly be a disaster that followed. "Yes Master. I shall return with the others." He stands up and takes his leave as well.

While Lenaran, Fenrir and Obsidia's once Master, feared to make his next move, Fenrir walked side by side with Apophis. Walking though the Pyramid to to the exit into the desert wasteland.

"Should I start my hunt now, or risk Nightmare showing up here and causing damage to your world?" Apophis asked, keeping his hands in the pockets of his suit pants.

"You can begin the hunt if you want. I need to grow stronger now that I sense another threat…" He replied as he stared at the sand below his feet. "The Master feels disturbed, so I can only the one who gave the Elders their powers revealed himself." Jayce was right behind them as he listened and stopped in his tracks.

"Nendrerth's Mother said he is a version of You?" He kept his eyes on the sand as well. "If he's you, what happens if we…"

"This version is more likely a whole different entity than just a 'Fenrir'. If he's gained that kind of power, one which can transform the strongest creatures into powerful beings, he is no longer Fenrir."

Apophis smirked, the sound of a powerful being piqued his interest. "Hmmm. He's on a level higher than either Ra or yourself."

"Which is why I need to get stronger. I have a lot of catching up to do after all of this." Fenrir's eyes go from the sand as he turns around and looks at Jayce. "This is why I needed you. You, Terek, and Celestyn." He walks over to the young man who stood only to his shoulder. "This is why I need you most. Not just myself but we all need to get stronger." He gently places his right hand on Jayces shoulder. At first their aura shimmered together, then faded back.

"Let's get back and see if they've gotten back too." Jayce spoke softly then started to walk away towards a gate that appeared across from the Pyramid entrance.
