Chapter 60 - The Siblings Search

Timber found herself moving full speed through the snow, dodging and leaping around the monsters left and right. She moved so fast, only a hand full of the ones her size could keep up only to crash into trees and shatter into shards of ice. As she ran, Jayce leapt from tree to tree, slicing the monsters with each move. His scythe slicing through the ones that dodged the trees. His fear still there as the massive monster lumbered back with Terek. He hated the thought of using Timber like this, but this was one of the easiest solutions to prevent another massacre.

Terek went along with Jayces plan but he knew he would have to try to keep the beast from regrouping with its kind. The tallest one before him had clearly been the alpha due to its size and build. Terek held his sword in his hand as he began to feel heat build up within him as if he were a volcano about to erupt. The heat was not from rage, but was used to intimidate his foe. His breathe fogging from his lips and nostrils as they flared. Terek got into position then the beast roared, throwing its ominous aura so far, even Timber and Jayce could feel it. "That's just rude you bastard." He yelled at the beast then charged at it. The massive beast lifts its tree sized arm high into the air, then swings it back down towards Terek. Everything seemed to have slowed down for Terek as he watched the arm swing down at him. The claw was only feet away when it's suddenly stopped by a bright light.

"I come back to life on my brothers world and this is what wakes me?"

Terek stopped as he watched the beasts arm struggling to reach him. He looks to his right and sees a horned white horse.

"Brother seriously loves the color of snow…" The horse looked to the beast, it's horn glowing bright then wraps the beast in a blinding sphere of light. "Mortal… Can you explain to me what is going on here?"

"You're a talking horse? With a horn?" Of all of the creatures he had seen this didn't surprise him. "Help me save my Direwolf and partner then I will tell you everything."

"Fine…" The horse didn't mention it but he could sense his brothers blood within the human. He sighed and walked over to Terek as the sphere began to shrink continuously. "Get on."

Terek quickly gets on the horned horses back. It starts to run through the snow as it began to pass the smaller monsters in seconds. Jayce and Timber coming into view as they got closer and closer. "There they are!"

The horse nods then sprints faster until it passes Timber and stops a hundred feet away and turns around. Jayce and Timber were now running side by side now as a wall of the monsters formed behind them, running and fumbling through the trees. The horse waits for Timber and Jayce to pass before illuminating its horn once again for a couple seconds. One the light fades, all that had been left of the wall of monsters had just been shards of ice and dust. Terek hops of the back of the horse and is suddenly tackled by Timber.

"Now, Mortal, would you care to explain?" The turned to them. Jayce walking up and looking at it.

An hour passes as Jayce and Terek explain the current situation to the horse.

"I see. That would explain why I sensed the blood of my brother from you both…"

"Mister horse…." Jayce is suddenly cut off of his question when you feels a massive pressure building around the area. It wasn't coming from a monster nearby but rather the horse itself.

"My name is Sleipnir… And if you call me Mister Horse again, you may never see the light of day again…" He grumbled. The pressure pushing Jayce down to his knees.

Terek walks up to Sleipnir, unfazed by the pressure. "You said we had your brothers blood in us. Are you talking about the Old Wolf God?"

"God? Oh right. I suppose my brother did gain that power." He seemed to be talking to himself then shakes his equine head. "If that is what you call my brother, then yes. However, since my sister and other brother have not awakened yet, I'm afraid I will not be able to help you just yet with your current quest of waking him."

"You've helped us more than you think. We wouldn't have been able to stop that monster army from butchering a nearby clan." Terek told the ancient horse. "Thank you. But I still can't get why they felt…"

"Off? Those creatures had traces of Chaos on them." Sleipnir trots over and stood, towering over the two young men, even over Timber. "My brother fought Chaos long ago on our world before it was destroyed by that monster. That's why your "two gods" created this world in hopes humanity could strive once more." He stops where he stood realizing something. "Now that I think about it… My other siblings should have been released by now…"

"Were you imprisoned, Sleipnir?" Jayce looked up at the horned horse.

"No. We were killed in front of our eldest brother back before his godhood." Once he said those words, he was reminded of the pain when the spear pierced his side.

"Well… We are currently heading south to through the desert to reach the shipyard. If you want you can come with us and look for them." Jayce offered. This would be a perfect opportunity after all. However, neither of the two humans know who his siblings are.

"It would be an honor, however, if what you told me is true. You three must hurry. I can find my siblings on my own." Sleipnir insists. Due to his connection that had formed inside their brother, he is now capable of sensing the other siblings.

"Alright. Thank you for your help, Sleipnir." Terek began to head back towards the south with Timber.

"I know I told you two you had my brothers blood flowing in you…." The large horse stopped what he was saying then shook his head. "Never mind. I must be going."

Once Jayce and Sleipnir parted ways, Sleipnir swiftly put distance between the two humans and the wolf and stopped to look back.

"What are you two planning…" His question seemed to have vanished within the cold air before another voice would be heard beside him.

"I cannot tell you right now, but he must be awakened." Beside Sleipnir, a familiar woman stood before him in a white dress. Her had changed since he remembered.

"So you heard me after all?" He asked her.

"I did. Your brother went into a deep slumber somewhere on this continent and it's time for him to wake." She steps out of the shadows that hid her and steps forward. "These three have a major roll in this war, Sleipnir… I just wish I could've seen them grow together with my own eyes.
