The months passed like they were mere seconds for Karli. She absorbed her entire being into Crocheting and battling her anxiety and depression. She barely moved and rarely attempted to eat. Before she knew it Thanksgiving arrived. And then Christmas. And then the New year. That was when she received her mom's ashes as a gift from her Aunt Rachelle and Uncle Junior.
They took her and Dean out to eat and to the local craft store to buy things for her mothers' urn, Karli wanted to make sure her mom was in her eternal beach, so she created it. She was still numb and still very much in a horrible depression. She tried at least a dozen times a day to call her mom, and broke down crying each and every time when she realized she'd never answer again. And that she would never get to hear her voice, see her face, feel her touch, or even smell her perfume again. The only person to keep her semi connected to the world around her was Dean, and he was her life line.
January and February passed by in a hazy blur for Karli. Before she knew it, it was March and the great 2020 Pandemic hit. And her and Dean were staying at her Aunt Rachelle's and it was Deans birthday. And things seemed to be getting remotely back to normal. She tried not to think of the following two months due to her 25th birthday being in April and Mothers' Day and her mom's Birthday being in May. She was also dealing with the loss of Arcana, but she had help from Chuy her Emotional Support Animal(ESA).
Both April and May passed by extremely slow in her eyes. The days just barely ticked by without Karli losing her sanity. She was working full time at a local restaurant and Dean was working at the local mechanic shop. Both of them now considered essential due to the Pandemic. Karli had just bought a new to her vehicle, an 04 Chevy trail blazer, for her birthday. She was very proud of it. Everything was going great for them.
June passed by in a complete blur and Karli barely even remembered it until July came around. July was when things hit the fan, her and Dean had to move due to her Aunt Rachelle being evicted. At the end of July they moved in with her father, O'Dell. They both had jobs again the first week of August, and Karli had a dream job of working with the local youth before and after school. Dean was working at the local gas station and loved his fellow co-workers.
In September Harley moved in with them, with her Husband Allen. Harley and Allen were fighting to get their kids back from the state and causing a lot of drama within and outside the house. Due to lack of communication and fighting Dean, Karli, and Chuy were kicked out on Halloween. With nowhere to go they packed up their life and headed North to Mikkersburg, where Deans' parents, and Karli's In laws, live. They stayed one night and headed into Koshen to stay a couple nights at the local motel.
While at the motel in Koshen they got a call from a friend of theirs. Kiley that told them to call his mom. That call was a Goddess sent message in disguise to them. When they called, Ivy offered to let them stay with her and have the basement area all to themselves. Ivy was like a second mom to Dean growing up. Two days later, after much thought and consideration, they headed to Michigan. It took two weeks, but Karli was working again in a restaurant in Twin Lakes, a city about twenty minutes up the road from where they were living in Seville. And Dean was working on getting disability due to all of his mental illnesses. Chuy adapted pretty quickly to the new change and was settling in nicely.
Karli managed to make a new friend named Lilah who has two boys named Frank and Levi, who Dean happened to already know due to him being friends with Kiley for over 15 years. It took couple of times of her and the boys coming up from Koshen for Karli to get comfortable enough to joke around with her. And before she knew it they were practically best friends and stuck at the hip. They even started calling each other Wifey to annoy one of Karli and Deans housemates, Justin. Needless to say, Justin really made it severely obvious that he wanted to be with Lilah regardless of her going through a divorce and him being engaged.
In December Justin's on again off again drug addict fiancé decided to try and steal from Dean. And things got really dramatic when the evidence was found under Joan's' side of the bed. She had managed to get Deans' PSP during breakfast and denied that she had it for over 2 hours. When Karli found it Joan, Justin's fiancé, was sent to live with her aunt and get help from rehab. Joan was allowed to come back due to her lying by stating she was going back to work soon. A week later Justin and Joan had been caught in so many lies and relapsing that they were both sent to stay with Joan's mother. And things got kind of peaceful after that for the whole house. No one was arguing, things didn't come up missing, and everyone got along.
