Chapter 2 - A Young Employer

Sunday morning, Seira was looking up for a job online through websites and somehow stumbled upon on a good offer. The pay was good but it required the employee to move in. Aside from that, all living expenses were free so it wasn't half bad, plus thinking that she didn't have to worry about rent made her feel relieved. Not just that it would lessen her burden, she could focus a lot better towards paying the debt her father left for her. She took her phone and dialed the number that was provided on the job information.

It took a couple of rings before the other party picked up the call.

"Hello, who is this?" A man's voice went through the other line.

"Good morning po. This is Seira Madriaga, I have seen the job application online and called if the offer is still available."

"Ah! I see. I'll hold the call for a sec, can you wait?"

"Yes, I'll wait." Seira answered brightly.

The call was put on hold for a while before the other party reconnected once again.

"Hello miss Madriaga? Do you have a pen and paper with you? I'm a bit busy so I'll tell you the details, I'd like you to jot it down."

"Yes sir! Please go ahead."

9th - 21st Street, Primdale, City A. Maiko Yu. 634xxxxxx07.

"I already told your employer. When would you like to start?" He asked after giving her the address and other details.

"I'll start today! Thank you." Seira exclaimed.

"Alright."

Dali dali naman siyang nagligpit ng gamit at umalis ng computer shop. She went back to her apartment and tidied her things in a swift. Fortunately, she didn't have a lot of things so it only took her half an hour in packing everything up. Before leaving, she went to tell the landlord and gave back the keys.

"City A huh? Medyo malalayo ako sa school but it should be fine. Pamasahe at school fees nalang din naman yung po-problemahin ko." She said to herself and got on the bus to City A.

Half an hour later she arrived at Primdale. She was dragging along her suitcase and the note she jotted down earlier on her other hand. After looking for quite a while, she came face to face on a modern two-story black and white house that was neither too big nor too small. It had a black steel bar gate and a furnished wooden slob on one of the pillars that said "Yu Residence".

"Ito na ata yun."

The gate was open so she let herself in and rang the intercom outside the main door. She did it at least three times before someone unlocked the door.

She was quite nervous but toughened herself up and entered the doorway.

"I'm coming in."

A young man who was half-naked and only had a towel wrapped around his lower half came into her view. His silky hair was very long that it reached his waist and was dripping wet. He just got out from the shower as he was busy drying his hair with another towel at hand.

Seira's eyes scanned the young man's face.

He had a pair of cold yet beautiful orbs. Attractive straight-edged nose and a chiseled jawline. His lips were red and were slightly agape. But what caught her eyes was the mole underneath each of his eyes. They completely look symmetrical and made his face even more captivating.

Her eyes then traveled downwards.

He was over six feet tall and had a defined body. Not bulky, just right. His v-line was slightly seen from his wrapped up lower half.

Upon realizing that she was staring too much and shouldn't be intruding at the wrong time, her heels automatically spun around to avoid visual contact.

Her face became flushed and her eyes widened in embarrassment.

"Sorry! Wala akong nakita, swear!"

"Right, after staring for quite some time. You are?" Tanong nito sa kanya with a slight smirk.

"Seira Madriaga. I'm looking for Maiko Yu po, ako po yung bagong katulong." She managed to croak after hearing his remark.

"You're young. Akala ko he'll send someone older na experiensado." He stated, not even bothering to mask his doubt towards her.

"Rest assured po, I know my way around chores. Is sir Maiko Yu home po ba?" She asked.

Hindi naman yata siya yung may-ari ng bahay. Tsaka he's too young to be an accomplished novelist. The employer must be someone a bit older. A middle-aged man perhaps.

A light chuckle came out from his lips.

"I am Maiko Yu."
