Chapter 688 - Chapter 11 Divine slaying weapon

The old panther looked at them with a solemn face while clenching his fists. He didn't like this arrogant panther but he could understand his heart and he admired him for his courage.

" Perhaps my time had come too. You gods didn't bother trying to save my world. Back in my world, Thor died and Hela remained the villain. Olympus didn't care about my people and we fought each other for a long time. After surviving such a long time, there were no superhumans left except for a few. They were called rulers but what kind of ruler didn't have people in their nation? I dried my nation's blood with my vengeance and in the end, I understood too late.

Tell me, gods. What could I do? I have nothing but these claws and armor. To me, this gem was the last resort to restore my honor and legacy despite its size."

Arthur didn't speak to him, knowing he was determined to die here like the white panther. His eyes lay in a place where he couldn't extend his hand and he already lost his hope. So the last thing that he could do was to give him a final fight for his hope and justice.

It might be wrong in his eyes but to him, it was the right thing to do. He was saving his people in exchange for Arthur's world's people. Technically, it wasn't evil like others might thought so. However, in the end, he was the guardian. He was obliged to save his people and this world.

" You know this would result in only one thing and that is your death. All these panthers and you will die in front of us. You can't kill us even if you damage us. Is it worth it?"

The old panther didn't answer his question, drawing his spear. His eyes were solely focused on them as he dashed forward with other panthers.

The gods probably understood their intentions as they raised their weapons one last time.

" You are worthy of valiant death."

Thor closed his eyes with a slight tremble in his voice, summoning thunder from the sky while Hela raised her army. Artemis bit her lips with a sad face despite her anger while Loki silently froze them.

The panthers fell one by one before the gods as their numbers diminished sharply. The final panther was the old panther who was still running toward them with a calm face.

His armor was frozen and burned but he never fazed in front of the death. His spear came right before Arthur's eyes while the latter looked at him with silence.

His fingertip blocked the tip of the spear which lost its power due to harsh divine powers. Yet the unyielding purple glow remained in it, trying to pierce his throat. The silence descended between the gods while Arthur took off the old panther's mask.

The aged and wrinkled face of T'challa appeared right in front of them but he wasn't breathing anymore. His last attack managed to draw blood from Arthur and he died while standing.

" A great warrior and hero. Pity, he wasn't our ally. I would gladly become his brother in arms."

Thor sighed with a helpless face while lowering his weapon. The heroes remained wordless on the battlefield, honoring the dead despite being their enemies. Their goal was honorful for their defense after all, so they couldn't blame them.

" Hela, is his soul departed to his world? Can you track his space coordination?"

Arthur turned his toward Hela who was writing something on the paper. She finished writing the coordination while throwing it to Arthur who caught it with a soft face.

" Are you going to save his world? He almost destroyed our world."

Arthur didn't answer her question, looking at the lonely figure who appeared from the ruins.

" Arthur, let me help you. I know he was my enemy but he was a king and he was honorful. I am not a cruel man."

T'challa requested to go with him to his world in spite of his crime. Perhaps old T'challa's words touched his heart and he changed his view. His calm gaze was unreadable from the outside but Arthur could tell he was being sincere.
