The entrance of the cave was getting narrow as they approached the exit. Arthur who could manipulate elements, was able to pinpoint where the exit was and he felt something odd like this place shouldn't exist in the first place.
" Strange, I feel a large amount of time power from here. We should have destroyed the gem, yet this time power belongs to that very gem."
Arthur was puzzled by the time power, not knowing what to say since the time gem was destroyed and became cosmic dust after the war. No one could potentially restore it because the gem was a primordial power that required an almost infinite amount of energy.
" The bloody time power is the most complex of all. You know time is forbidden among us, sorcerers."
Constantine lit up his smoke, puffing it out with a carefree face but his eyebrows were twitching with distress. He didn't want to involve himself in the case of primordial powers, knowing they would require countless preparation and resources to deal with.
" It isn't like we have other choice. The divine item itself is a threat to humankind and now we are facing our old item. Who knows what would happen if this goes out?"
Wanda didn't think it was a good idea to let it stay like this without control, remembering the mind gem that was in her hand. The power of the gems was so powerful that only she could destroy it with her magic since she got it from it.
" Artemis, you have a lot of explanation to do after this. I believe Olympus knew this incident prior to our arrival."
Hela wasn't a fool who would believe great Olympus wouldn't know about this power. Zeus was a god who was akin to his father and he would observe the mortal realm more than any God and involve himself among the mortal with various methods.
" ... "
Artemis didn't speak anymore but her expression told everyone that it had to do with Olympus. Otherwise, she would refute her words. The Olympus certainly found out about this anomaly in the first place and sent her due to her being one of the throne gods.
They believed her power would be enough until Athena herself interjected herself in the situation. She foresaw things might turn ugly for her and Apollo who was her brother, supported her idea. Hence, they allowed her to get help from outside.
" Don't blame her. We have to find the item."
Arthur inserted himself between them, calming the situation down while Thor walked around the cave. He squatted down on the ground, touching the water with his finger but soon his expression crumbled down.
" Odin's beard, Arthur. Look at this. This isn't just water, it is mixed with human blood."
Constantine clicked his tongue when he heard his words as he activated his magic. The group's alarm raised instantly as Arthur pointed them to be quiet.
They followed his steps, reaching the entrance of the cave where they saw the lush green forest.
" As expected the time is in chaos here."
The green energy was floating around the forest as Arthur raised his head with a frown. The sky was cracked like in New York and the memories of the past and future were intervened.
" This isn't good."
Loki couldn't help to smile with a bitter face, signing to his fate. His scepter lit up under the gazes of others while he flew up the sky to check things out.
Swoosh, bang*
He flew like a speeding arrow, landing before them with an embarrassed face. His hair was disheveled and his clothes were in rugs. Moreover, he had a big black eye after colliding with energy, so he looked funny, unlike his normal arrogant self.
" Clean yourself up, brother. You look like a beggar."
Thor said with a red face, trying to conceal his laughter but Loki saw that. He got up from the ground without expression, cleaning himself with magic while chanting something in his mouth.
" Let's go. It is no good to fly, so we will walk."
Arthur feigned ignorance to his spell, acting like it was normal. Artemis wanted to say something but Hela gestured her to be silent since she also wanted to see embarrassed Thor.
