Chapter 682 - Chapter 5 Slip

" I will kill you, Ah!"

Thud*

Arthur looked at Thor who had fallen into the ground with a white face, shaking his head with a helpless face while pretending he didn't know him.

A few minutes ago

" Okay, as soon as we pass this place, we should be able to see the cliffs near Wakanda City."

Arthur explained calmly, passing through the woods like it wasn't a big deal. The big insects and animals didn't threaten him and they felt their presence, so they avoided attacking them out of their instincts.

" I see the bloody waterfall and panther head. How do we cross this without magic?"

Constantine rubbed his head with stress while looking down at the big chasm. He was sure that he would become a corpse if he tried to jump between it with his normal body.

" It isn't a big deal. Just try to hop over it. You mortals always cry for something little."

Artemis jumped to the waterfall without any trouble as Constantine almost cursed out loud. Fortunately, Zatanna blocked his mouth with her head, knowing this idiot would enrage the goddess which would result in terrible outcomes in the future.

" Hmm, I should cross it first. Loki, look at this."

Thor smiled smugly at his brother, jumping to the waterfall without any thought but right before he stepped on the ground, a bird came down to him. It crashed to him as the latter fell to the chasm with a loud curse. He knew Loki had done something to him and he would be separated from the team.

" Fool. I am ashamed to be his sister. Why would we even consider giving the throne to him?"

Hela clicked her tongue with annoyance, crossing the side without any trouble like the others. They successfully crossed the cliff except Thor who went mia. The poor God's fate was unknown to them and none of them gave attention to him since they believed he would be fine despite being in alien land.

" If we follow this trail to the jungle, we should be able to reach the city before the sunset. However, we have to assume the worst."

Others agreed with Arthur's words, knowing things might turn bad for them. It wasn't their home turf and they had no knowledge about Wakanda. As an agreement, Arthur maintained minimum observation on them, so they had only that much amount of information. Yet one thing was sure and that was their military power.

In terms of technology and power, Wakanda was overwhelmingly powerful in this world even in Arthur's viewpoint. He wasn't sure that Eden would be unscathed after battling them since even Thanos suffered a devastating blow here.

" Stop, I feel something in front of us."

Artemis raised her hand while touching the city barrier with her hand. The spark went out from her hand but she didn't frown.

" Wanda."

Wanda took a step forward to use her magic. The crimson magic slowly eroded the barrier, revealing the city behind this magnificent barrier.

" Oh my God!"

Constantine said out loud, looking at the ruins of the city. They saw the once peaceful streets of Wakanda in ruins as the blood of something or someone was everywhere.

" This is human blood. At least 4 days old. What happened to this city?"

Loki touched the ground with puzzlement, not knowing what to do. Meanwhile, Hela tried to use death as her agent but none of the deceased was called upon. It was like they didn't exist.

" Strange, I can't call dead people. It is like nobody died in the first place, yet this place is dyed with blood."

Hearing this, Arthur went through countless possibilities in his head to find out the reason.

" Because we are punished by the gem."

A familiar voice reached their ears as a young woman came out from the ruins. She was wearing a familiar suit which was adorned in black and gold. Her claws were extended and her voice sounded ferocious yet tired.

" Shuri? What happened to you?"

Wanda asked with worry while the latter leaned on the wall to catch a breath. She took off her helmet to show her face as she struggled to talk.

" We shouldn't have used that power, but we were too foolish because of that we are bearing one of primordial power's fury."

She pointed at the sky, fainting to the ground as Arthur caught her in his arms.
