Chapter 569 - Chapter 83 Former captain

The androids followed followed Steve behind. Unlike scouting squad robots, they were sentient androids like Vision who lived in peace with humans. They were children of 4 AIs in Eden and they possessed the capabilities of humans which were emotion and judgment. Thus, Arthur called them a new species aka Homodeus.

" Captain, are you tired? We are near the center of Berlin."

The leading androids while looking at Steve who had a strand of gray hair unlike before. Certainly, he became more powerful and wise, but his lifespan was nearing its end despite the improved serum. No humans could go against the wishes of nature and cycle, so did Steve and he refused to become a vampire because he loved being a human.

Although Peggy became a vampire that didn't need blood, Steve was adamant about being a human. Everyone in the council respected his decision and left him easy tasks compared to the past, but this time he went for hard ones.

" I am alright, Meta. Although I am getting old, I can still live a few decades. Besides, my child needs me."

Steve laughed with a gentle look. He was a valiant person, yet he became softer after welcoming his first child with Peggy. He became more passionate and gentler than in the past.

" We will secure the building if anything happens. Don't worry, we can defeat most of the high-ranking vampires ourselves, and in danger we can upload our consciousness to a central database."

Meta answered calmly while motioning androids to enter the building. Steve shook his head with a warm smile, entering the big building where he would fight vampires after a while. His body and mind already transcended human limits and he was more powerful than strength-type mutants. Couple with his experience made him a notable powerhouse in Eden's upper echelons with his charisma.

" You are still immature. Technology is indeed limitless, but don't underestimate human potential."

Steve said lightly, throwing his shield to the corridor where they heard a muffled sound. The shield returned his hand as its edges were tainted with crimson of blood.

" You didn't notice their presence because they learned that you have termo sensors. You need to be more versatile and flexible in situations before reaching conclusions."

Steve instructed them with a calm demeanor as they cleaned the way without much effort. The androids were amazed to witness Steve taking out enemies effortlessly when others struggled. Every time he threw his shield, it precisely struck enemies leaving them either incapacitated or dead.

STEP*

A tall werewolf stood in front of him as its crimson eyes scanned Steve.

" What an honor! I never thought I would meet a great Captain America in Berlin. You and other original Avengers inspired me when I was young."

He spoke lightly, flexing his muscles. Strangely, he didn't attack them even though he was from the other side.

" Don't look at me like that, tin cans. I am different from them. I don't like killing people for entertainment. I love humans because I used to be one before transforming into this form."

He opened the door, revealing the citizens inside the room. Their faces lit up when they saw Steve and Androids because they saw them on the news almost every day.

" It is Captain America and Eden. WE ARE SAVED."

They spoke in German as they hugged each other with joy. This scene softened Steve's heart as he commanded androids to escort them out.

" What is your name, werewolf?"

Steve extended his hand, showing his appreciation for him. The werewolf grabbed his hand and shook it firmly.

" I was called Max in the past. Now I go by Moon Wolf. I desire to protect people with my newly found self."

He expressed his will to Steve while guiding him to a room where he found countless corpses of vampires. Steve could tell Max and the humans fought them and defeated them with great casualty by the looks of human corpses next to them which were lined up.

" They were heroes who sacrificed themselves for their families. We believed the central radio tower would be the last hope for reinforcement."

Max expressed his sadness in his eyes, looking at the fallen heroes. Steve silently patted his shoulder, turning on the station.

" Attention, this is Captain America. Survivors who are still hiding, please come to the outer edge of Berlin. We have prepared a way for you and you have one hour."
