" Art, stop he is one of us. What do you need from us, Constantine?"
Diana
raised her eyebrows, frowning with displeasure. She didn't like Constantine because he was a wild card that knows no bounds when he had to stop. Hence, she was extremely vigilant towards this mysterious magic user.
" We are colleagues, remember? I am here for Arthur. We have a few demons inside LA, making troubles for the citizens."
Constantine replied calmly, knowing Arthur wouldn't refuse his request since he was regarded as the most heroic among all. His way of guarding is the same as Superman who was the kindest of the bunch.
" Hmm, I am on vacation and a mission, but I could make it a day or two. However, after that, I can't guarantee much. My time is running out because I had to visit many places."
Arthur said, folding his arms with a sigh. He thought Constantine was plotting something because he saw him as a mercenary type rather than a hero. He was similar to Bruce, but he didn't have the compassion and will of Batman. Therefore, he was cautious of him.
" Great, let's fly today. I have three first-class tickets."
Constantine said, showing three tickets to him. However, Arthur and Diana burst out laughing when they saw that. Arthur shook his head, creating a portal toward LA without any complications.
Constantine dropped his cigarette, groaning with embarrassment. He forgot Arthur was one of the greatest mages and sorcerers in the universe. So, creating a portal was just a piece of cake for him.
" Ugh, that was embarrassing. I forgot who you were in the first place."
Constantine rubbed his temple while smiling wryly. The couple laughed without any care as they were used to this. Most of the people knew Arthur had a terrifying superpower, but only certain people remembered his mystic power in this world.
" So, tell me honestly. Who is that?"
Arthur saw a woman dressed in a black dress. She was looking at them with serene eyes, unlike others. She was different from others, more like a sentient being that ascended in some way, but far from divinity.
" Constantine, you never said you would bring this lovely couple. Hello, nice to meet you. I am Los Angeles city."
She said, extending her hand politely. Diana was taken aback by this sudden revelation. The city which had a soul was outrageous in many ways and gods wouldn't like that.
" I see. You have a very dirty soul for a city. I should say as expected from the city of sins. You aren't beautiful as you look."
Arthur clicked his tongue, showing disdain towards her. Although she was the embodiment of one of the greatest cities, Arthur could tell she had countless souls buried under its soil. She was feeding them off to other forces in the city.
More specifically demons that chose to live in this city. Henceforth, he took the gist of the situation quickly without Constantine's explanation.
" You want to clean your filth, right? You dare to threaten us with the lives of innocents. Should I just erase your will?"
Arthur said, bringing out a miniature black hole in his hand. He was ready to kill her before she does something to others.
" Relax. I won't kill anyone. I just want to save my people."
She smiled warmly, trusting Arthur's judgment. He wasn't kind to kill everyone. His core ideology was preventing that bloodlust from corrupting his soul from deep inside.
" Art, let's hear their request first. We can leave afterward."
Diana stepped in to resolve the conflict. Arthur's bloodlust disappeared like it wasn't there first place. He calmed his mind down, trying to reason with them.
" I admit that I have many foreign beings inside me, but some of them started baring fangs toward me and other people. I want you to clean them before they harvest countless souls inside me."
LA said gently, calming down the atmosphere. She observed the duo's reaction, proceeding to talk with them.
" Constantine stopped them last time, but they are gaining an advantage over him due to their sheer quantity."
She spoke lightly, handing 7 images of demons to them. The ugly faces of demons disgusted Diana who worshipped Gods as she saw them as her enemies. Moreover, she recalled the moment that demons almost destroyed the order of the world.
