Arthur clicked his tongue as he reconsidered his plan. Psychics were the most common yet the most troublesome group to deal with because there is no limit to their power theoretically as long as they continue to increase their mental power which isn't that hard.
" Our plan will go south if they find about Houston. Tanya, we need to hasten our phase. Otherwise, we will have no hope to win."
Tanya nodded. She quickly carried the soldiers in the cars with the survivors. She looked at one of the men and said calmly.
" I need to gather other civilians and send them to our laboratory. Can you do that?"
The man didn't refuse her request. He straightened his back and saluted to her with utmost respect. Then, he looked at his family and said lightly.
" I am going out for a few days. I will be back."
His wife nodded with approval even though she was holding back her fear. She was proud of her husband.
" Go on. We will wait for your return."
The man nodded and took one gun from the back with a few magazines. He put the magazines in his back and carried his gun away.
Arthur looked at his back with a serious look.
" Let's go."
1 hour later.
They arrived at the base with the prisoners. Police chief quickly came out from the lab with handcuffs. He cuffed them smoothly and untied their ropes. He proceeded with a gentle manner unlike his usual aggressive look.
Vera and John handed two chocolate bars to Tanya and Arthur. They saw their tired expressions.
" You must be tired. What happened out there?"
Arthur smiled wryly. He sighed and said with a serious tone.
" Has colonel arrived yet? I think I got a very valuable information."
Einstein who was next to them, creased his eyebrows. His eyes filled with a deep thought as he said quietly.
" Not yet. We will talk about it after his arrival."
Arthur understood his meaning as he gazed around him. There were too many eyes around them. It was inappropriate to talk about their future movements here.
Arthur calmly nodded and proceeded to his room. He dragged Tanya away with a forceful manner.
Another hour had passed since their arrival. Arthur was looking at the soldiers with a frown because there were too many soldiers injured in the fight. Although there were a few serious injuries, he couldn't deny that their injuries would hinder their movements. Arthur was planning to blitz Princeton first.
Colonel was smoking in the room with a heavy expression. His face wasn't that good due to his fatigue.
He looked at the scientists with a calm face as he said lightly.
" I have secured most of the blocks in my area, but there are still 40 or so soldiers left."
Arthur nodded with approval. He took a deep breath and said with a heavy tone.
" I have found their secret. This might change our plan."
Colonel placed his two hands on the table to show his interest. He wasn't conscious of their loss.
Arthur wrote a few words on the blackboard. Vera who was close to biology, immediately recognized these words. She hit the table with shock as she said loudly.
" That is impossible. They have no capacity to create a human weapon under our eyes. Especially, when their president is under our wing."
She couldn't accept the fact that they had successfully created a powerful esper with their backward science labs.
As for Einstein, he didn't raise his questions. He was calmly looking at the blackboard like it was in his expectations.
" Arthur, can you explain it to us? Although there are loopholes in your theory, I agree with your thoughts."
Arthur smiled at his remark. He really likes this old man with incredible wisdom.
" I suspect that they might have a secret bio lab. Particularly, Espers can be born though normal intercourses. They aren't nothing special. However, this man's mental power is already strong enough to control our people and Russian soldiers."
Tanya raised her eyebrows and said seriously.
" So, how can we get rid of this tumor?"
Arthur's face darkened as his voice deepened.
" Superweapons. I suggest that we need to destroy both that lab and Kremlin with nuclear missiles and weather attacks."
