Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Find the truth. My mother told me as I embarked on this perilous and crazy adventure of how my father died, all those years ago. Because till this day... nobody knows, but somebody knows a small voice in my head dared to say.

NOW, if you are reading this book you have level four clearance and know that despite our newly pressed skirts and ancient mansion that Gallagher Academy for Exeptional young women isn't a school full of rich snobs... but for spies.

But on that September day, even my mother... even my headmistress seemed to have forgotten that finding the truth becomes a lot harder when you are trained your whole life to lie and your fighting people who have been trained to do the exact same thing, except when they don't get the answer they want they have different methods. Like... torture.

This trip down memory lane all started with the Circle of Cavan, Catherine and I know it will probably end with me. After discovering my own father's "supposedly" dead body was gone. We had to find out what actually happened because somebody knows. And soon I will know.

As the warm autumn's wind kissed my cheeks, as leaves crunched underneath my feet. Identical sounds where being made by room ates as walked out of the woods and into our room.

"So when do we go?" Macey asked while we all flopped onto our beds.

"Go where Macey?" Three of us asked in unison while Macey sat filing her nails.

"To find the truth." She said in a duh tone.

"Macey!" Snapped Bex. "We can't just go on a wild goose chase when we have nothing to go on!"

This clearly wasn't what Macey wanted to heat because she snapped her nail file clean in half and growled, "Why not, we

did it last time."

"No we didn't, we knew I went to Rome because of the parcel I sent to myself," I stated.

So there might be something else in the box that you missed because you ran away."

"There is a 50% chance of that happening." Liz automatically said.

"See, Macey said, there is a chance."

"And there is a chance you could be wrong. " I said.

" And there is a chance that we put Cammie in more danger. " Bex added.

"And..."

"OK! Macey snapped, I get it OK I know what could go wrong and we could put Cammie in danger but we have to try or someone could get that information we need before us. Someone like Catherine. " She finished finally.

"We know but how could we get my mom, Abby, Townsend and Joe to let me go with you guys. "

"Cam, you have to, besides we need you there!"Bex said as if it was so easy to convince CIA legends.

"OK, let's go!" Bex said while dragging me to my feet and out the door. We walked down the hall to my mom's office and stopped short as we heard voices coming from inside.

"I know we have to go back to Rome. " We heard my mom say.

"We can't leave Cammie, we need her, besides the girls wouldn't let be left behind," Abby said. Macey motioned for me to knock so I did.

"Come in. " Came my mother's voice from inside.

We walked inside and sat on the sofa.

"We are going to Rome and Cammie you are coming. With Zach, Abbsend." My mother announced once we had all sat down.

"When are we leaving then I can call the jet," Macey said.

"In an hour, we have already told Zach." My mom said to Macey.

We all noded stood up and left to pack.

We were going back to Rome and this time we will be back with answers.
