We stood silently for a moment as we saw Abby and Townstend tied to chairs as my former father rum ages through the draws searching for something while occasionallylyly muttering to himself. Then it dawned on me what he was looking for: the papers I got from the safe, my safe. I then realised that he must have something in my safe while we at Gallagher and assumed that we got it, brought it back and put it one of the draws. That is exactly what we didn't do because the papers are neatly folded into a tiny square situated in the inside pocket of my lime green bomber jacket that is full of spy gadgets, that Liz got for me for my birthday last year and designed it so that it would never be to the mall or big for me.
All of a sudden, Bex cleared her voice loudly to catch Matt's attention (I'm not calling him dad or father anymore). He looked up to see us all staring at him because if looks could kill my ex dad would be 30 feet under (not even 6! ).
"How are you daughter?" He asked in what I classed as a mocking tone.
"You're not my father anymore!" I snapped angrily as Abby's eyes widened in shock of what I said.
"Cammie!" She gasped.
"I'm sorry aunt Abby but I could never let anyone like him- pointing at Matt- be my father and I doubt mum would either," I replied coldly.
"Now is that the way to speak about your father?" Matthew scolded me mockingly. I was about to say something when the window behind him shattered and revealed Catherine. She stood idle for a moment, as if examining every inch of the room, then walked up to Matt slipped her and into his, kissed him on the cheek that wasn't slapped and said, "How are you darling they haven't hurt you have them?" I felt like I was going to be sick. This was not happening. I risked a glance at Zach who had venom lit in his eyes not just towards his mother but towards Matthew the traitor as well.
Bex opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by the doorbell.
"Our guests are here!" Catherine said peppily and let go of Matt's hand to go answer the door.
Seconds later, she emerged with my mum and Joe whose hands were bound with rope as a guard escorted them into the living room.
"I'm glad you two could make it to the reunion." She said to the fuming couple before her. Then glided over to Matt and held his hand again. I glanced up at mum whose anger turned to hate and pain burned in her eyes and clearly, if Joe's hands weren't tied up he would have beat the living daylights out of his ex-best friend.
"Now Cammie," Catherine said snapping me out of my thoughts, "I will give you a choice of who you would like to save: your precious little dad or your aunt and mother." I thought this is the easiest decision I have ever had to make. "My mum and aunt," I replied my voice surprisingly strong.
"Your father isn't as important to you anymore." Catherine snarled.
"Well, at least my mum and aunt were always there for me, while he was slaving away at you." I sassed with ice in my voice.
"What are you talking about Cammie? " My mum asked as she tried to stop her voice from cracking.
So then I explained everything to my mum and Joe. By the end of the story, they were both ready to kill Matt.
"How could you!" My mother screamed.
"You, you joined her in a mission to KILL your daughter!" "You RETARDED BITCH OF A HUSBAND!" " When you lose everything you will remember what you did to us!" As she yelled those words she launched herself at him and knocked him off his feet causing him to land in shards of glass.
"Noooo!" Catherine screamed as she shoved mum off Matt. We all ran to help mum and I untied her ropes then untied Joe since the guard had left a while ago.
"Are you ok?" I asked her as I helped her off the glass infested floor.
"Yeah I'm fine, I just feel betrayed." She replied while brushing shards of glass off her outfit.
"You will pay for this!" Catherine growled as matt and she jumped out the window.
