Chapter 16 - Summoned Villagers I

As they were practicing and discovering the mysteries of magic. Avery noticed that the sun was indicating that noon was about to arrive.

"Let's stop here. We still need to see the summoned villager." Avery said

"Hm." Yue was not able to hear what he said as she was too focused on her magic.

Seeing this Avery decided to tease her a little.

So he slowly approached her from behind and suddenly embraced her, earning a yelp from her. She starts to panic but when she realizes who embraced her she calms down and starts to blush.

"My cute little sister. It's time to go." Avery then leans forward and whispers directly in her ears making a chill run down her spines. The blush plastered on her face intensifies.

Although you might think that Avery was kinda bold and brave. You could still see some hints of blush on his face.

Avery then turns his face around and kisses Yue's cheek, further intensifying the blush on both of their faces. He then releases her, "Come now Little Yue. We still need to see the first batch of villagers ourselves." After saying those words he then starts to speedily walk away in order to not let his sister see the embarrassed look on his face.

Leaving Yue there in a blushing mess. 'Aghh! Big Brother is getting bolder! I'll also need to step up my game.'

Looking at the interaction of their leader, the three other Elves had a smile on their face.

After Yue calmed down. They then start to follow Avery back to the village.

---

Avery then arrived in the village, followed by the other four, moments later. They saw Haldir by the Blacksmith, crafting wooden arrows from the branches he gathered.

Elrand, on the other hand, was standing by the summoning platform waiting for them.

"Welcome, Your Majesty!" Elrand the court official greeted.

"Nn." Nodded Avery.

"How long till the summoning happens, Big brother?"

"It should happen at any moment now."

At those words the center of the summing platform starts to glow. The glow then starts to spread to the runes and patterns on the platform. After a while, all the runes on the platform are glowing. The light then intensifies as motes of light start to form several humanoid forms. The light on the runes starts to leave and gathers toward the humanoid forms. The light then disperses, showing several Aevum elves.

There appears to be a total of 10 new villagers. Half are males while the other half are females. Their age is a bit difficult to discern without using the system as Elves stop aging at the age of 18. They only start to show some signs of aging if their time is coming close like Linidir. However, if Lindir was able to increase his mana and its purity, he should be able to go back to his prime.

The Elves' ability to automatically condense and purify mana is what allows them to live long without the need of meditating magic. Elves are unique as their lifespan is dependent on mana, so the larger and purer the mana the longer they would be able to live. Though this does not mean that Elves would die if there is no mana. In fact if mana does not exist, their lifespan would be the same as humans who do not have magic.

Going back. The new villagers start to look around. They all saw Avery alongside Yue who was standing close to him.

They then all synchronously greeted the two. "Your Majesty." Their enthusiasm was not as great as the first five.

'Hmm, their loyalty is not very high. Well, this is as expected since summoned villagers only have a total of 60 points in their loyalty compared to the 100 of the five.'

This resulted in the popular support dropping to 73.3%

What the grade of a villager dictates is dependent on the race of a species. The middle grade, in which in this case C, is where the standard stats of the race is located. So grades lower than C have stats below the standards of the race, while grades above C exceed the standard stats of the race.

This variation of stats in each grade only applies to the variable stats such as strength, stamina, speed, perception, constitution, and mana. While invariable stats which cannot be changed, remain the same for all grades, these are the intelligence, charm, and magic. Note that mana and magic are not the same in the stats. As mana is the total mana they have while magic dictates their talent and physique of mana inside their body.

Aside from these, the grades also dictate the number of traits they can acquire in their race. The distribution works on a pointing system. For example, a race which has one trait will have a maximum of 100 points and F grade starts with 1/3 of the maximum point which means that they will only acquire 33% of that trait. As the grade rises, the higher the points available which means a higher amount of potential they can get from the trait, with 100 points amounting to acquiring the full potential of the said trait.

In the case of the Aevum Elves. The number of traits they have is 3 which means that the maximum point they have is 300, with F grade having 1/3 of the total or in this case 100 points. This means that Aevum Elves will always have at least one trait in them despite their grade.

The distribution of points in Aevum elves are as follows:

[F - 100 pts (1 trait)] -> [E - 125 pts (1 trait & 25% of 2nd trait)] -> [D - 150 pts (1 trait & 50% of 2nd trait)] -> [C - 175 pts (1 trait & 75% of 2nd trait)] -> [B - 200 pts (2 traits)] -> [A - 250 pts (2 traits & 50% of 3rd trait)] -> [S - 300 pts (3 traits)]

"Big Brother, how is the number of summoned villagers along with their grade dictated?"

"The number and grade of the summoned villagers are usually dependent on the grade and level of the village. In this case..."

Bronze grade basic Villages were only able to summon one or two new villagers every day; Silver grade Villages could summon three or four, Gold grade Villages could summon five or six, Epic grade Villages could summon seven or eight, and Legendary Villages could summon nine or ten.

As for their grades, Bronze grade basic Villages usually summoned F grade villagers and one E grade villager every three days, one D grade villager every 12 days, one C grade villager every 48 days, one B grade villager every 192 days, and one A grade villager every 768 days, while S grade villagers simply couldn't be summoned in Bronze grade Villages.

From this, one could see how rare high-grade villagers were. If it took more than two years to summon an A grade villager, it would be essentially impossible for a Bronze Village to summon S grade villagers.

This was how long it took to summon certain villagers for Bronze Villages. The time was reduced by 2/3 for Silver Villages, another 2/3 for Gold Villages, and so on.

Going back to the summoned villagers, their grades varied with one being C, two were D, three E, and four were F grade.

Seeing those grades, Avery smiled in delight as their empire will have tons of talents in the future, and the fact that every F grade having at least one trait just increases the delight he is feeling further.
