Sue Olivia De Morse POV
Äiti is currently out of the town while Isä was called at the palace.
My older brother was also busy monitoring our shops while I am left alone in the house again.
"I can't take this." I blurted and look for a coat and a mask.
I checked the window and found no one was around.
It was already night time yet here I am planning to escape.
I don't know why but my feet is so itchy to get out hahaha.
"Let's do this sue!" I said to myself and open the window.
I look at below and thought to jump, I don't have any other way tho.
Thug!
"Darn it hurts." I blurted after falling.
I slowly stood up and felt my ankle a bit painful but I didn't mind it.
I was busy checking the walls and plants when I accidentally tripped at the branch and immediately closed my eyes.
I'm a bit confused when I landed at the floor so I opened my eyes and noticed I was on the road.
"A secret passage?" I exclaimed excitedly and stood up.
Geez should I walk?
I arrived at the south border looking exhausted, I've been holding my shoes too and almost didn't passed by the gates.
I was actually curious in the main entrance and the people here won't even judge you if you are holding your shoes and looking ugly.
I've been limping from pain and decided to check the area.
I noticed a suspicious man in the left corner going downstairs?
Out of curiosity I followed him and look at the signs.
"Travelers antiques." I said while reading the sign.
I walked downstairs and found a large door I slowly opened it and saw some gentlemen looking in my way.
I gulped in nervousness but I didn't mind it and walked in the counter.
"Welcome to Traveler's antique's you must be new hear my lady what do you need?" The woman said giving me a wink.
I almost drop my jaw on what she did but I manage to compose myself at least I'm not the only woman here.
I felt someone was staring at me in my left side but I ignored it.
"Do you have any bandage here? Or Ice? I badly need it at the moment." I asked.
I heard a sudden "pfft!" which made me think if what I asked is funny.
"Of course Lois get the young lady some bandages and ice." She said and look at my left.
Now that I look at their way it was 3 men in black hoods wearing black masks.
"Here madam." The man named Lois handed me the bandages.
"Thank you." I answered.
"I heard you have a keen eyes regarding about stones and gems could you tell me about this." He said showing the spiral brooch.
That's the stranger's brooch whom I met at the commoners area!
"Where did you get that?" I blurted out of the blue.
Shit I got their attention like it was some great sin to interrupt.
"You know about this?" The man who has an intimidating presence asked and walked towards me.
Due to panic I accidentally used some force on my other foot which made me close my eyes and waiting for the floor.
I noticed that I was holding a hard stuff so I immediately opened my eyes and saw his face near mine.
"Too close." I thought while staring at his cold emerald eyes.
"Eherm!" The woman fake a cough while grinning.
I immediately pushed him away and sat in the floor.
I think my face is flustered right now I acted like nothing happened and grab my foot. I took off my socks and saw the some dark bruises.
"Sitting on the floor while wearing a night gown covered by her coat and bare footed." He said while scanning through me.
"What? Do you have a problem with that?!" I said while glaring at him.
I was a bit scared when he look at me like a hamster whose lock on his cage.
Who is this guy?
He leveled himself towards me and grabbed my chin tightly.
"What do you know about this brooch? Speak or I'll cut your tongue." He said while taking a knife out of his pocket.
What the hell?!
"What the hell is wrong with you I'm also looking for the owner of that brooch he owes me something." I lied but at least half of it is true.
He suddenly gave me a If-you-lied-you'll-be-dead look.
"What do you want me to do with her?" The man beside him asked.
"Bring her with us." The man in front of me said and stood up to confront his men.
I got mad hearing what he just said and throw my shoe on the back of his head.
"Seriously why are you guys doing this to me! I just wanted to feel the word freedom I fall from my window, I tripped in the branch. I walk miles limping in pain just to get her on the south area and now you are kidnapping me?! Can't I just have a peaceful stroll in the area you guys are always locking me up!" I shouted in anger.
The whole room became silent and this man was looking at me irritatedly like I was a crazy woman.
A sudden laugh was heard from man beside him with a silver hair.
"I'm sorry I can't take it she's turning red in anger how cute." He said.
"Poor thing." The woman but in while giving me a smile.
"I'm out here!" I exclaimed and stood up.
"Were not done yet-"
I remove his hands on my wrist and spoke.
"Talk to yourself!" I said and gave him a death glare.
I marched myself out of that place and look for a carriage.
"Hey wait!" The woman earlier said.
"What?" I asked.
"Calm down I'm coming with you she said.
"Wait what?"
It was too late for me to react because she pushed me inside the carriage.
"Geez finally my shift is over you are incredible did you know that? My apologize I'm Hallie Warlocks." She said.
"I'm Sue- hold on where's my bracelet!" I said in surprise seeing that my bracelet is no longer in my wrist.
"A bracelet? You must have left it in the shop do you want to turn over?" Hallie asked.
It seems like she had no idea what a bracelet is besides it was an idea made by Dominique.
"My older brother will definitely get mad at me it was a birthday gift from him." I said looking worried.
"I'll try to check it in the shop tomorrow it must be very special however, your older brother must be so talented did he made it?" She asked.
"Yes, he loves jewelries." I said and took out the design I made.
"The one that you saw earlier? I was planning to make a pendant but I'm not good on stones and stuff. My brother is done with the chains the only thing that is missing was the spiral pendant." I said while showing her the design.
"I-its gorgeous." She said while her eyes was sparkling.
"This is a debt that I need to repay to that man who owns the spiral brooch." I said.
Well, he also inspired me to create jewelries and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have been able to meet my family.
"C-can I help you with this?" She asked.
"Sure do you have any suggestions?" I asked.
Hallie was looking at the design intently like it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
"We can use a gemstone called Amethyst for the pendant and break it piece by piece to make it look crystalize and then covered it with melted white crystal." She said thinking throughly.
"Hallie why are you working at the Traveler's antique?" I asked.
"I don't have a choice and that is the only place where my brother and I feels safe." She replied looking elsewhere.
"Are you in trouble?" I suddenly spoke what I'm thinking.
"Kind of? However, you don't need to worry I'm not as bad as you think its just running away from home. I almost remember myself when you arrived in my workplace." She laughed like it was dejavu.
"My brother and I were lacking something and I think I found it in you. Will you come with me Hallie?" I said in a serious voice.
"You didn't your parents told you not to talk with strangers? And what's with that feeling like you have some pheromones to make someone agree with you goodness wait a minute." She joke and laughed.
I laughed hearing her opinion and replied.
"They did but I'm just too stubborn to listen like hello, I walked from the East border into the south." I said while giving her a wink.
She shook her head and look at me.
"I guess I can't say no seeing how flashy your eyes are to make me say Yes." She grinned and suddenly froze.
"Hallie?" I asked in confusion.
Did I say something weird?
"Did you just say in East Border?" She asked in shock.
"Umh yeah?" I said she suddenly hold both of my shoulders and shake me.
"Oh my goodness you are one of the Aristocrat families?!" She blurted.
"You mean the nobles who have ranks and titles? My father does have the title of Marquis-"
She covered my mouth and checked the window.
"Shh you are not allowed to come here unless you have a permission you dork. Do you want to be punished by the royal family?!" She whispered.
"I forgot." I said giving her an apologetic smile.
We stopped at the edge of the south just a wall over to pass then we would be at the East border.
"What should we do now the knights will definitely catch us." Hallie said.
"Don't worry I found a secret door near in this spot." I said and pulled her.
We finally arrived at the gate of De Morse when a familiar figure was standing in the gate.
"Sue Olivia De Morse!" Dominique said in a deadly tone.
We are currently at the living room while my brother was treating my bruise on my ankle.
"What's got into your head that you walk outside alone and look at this! Father would definitely range in anger if he found out about it." Dominique was nagging for several times already.
"I was just strolling- I mean I'm sorry brother Dom." I said.
"You should be! What if something bad had happened to you, what if you got sick again äiti was dead worried knowing about your condition." Dominique said while tightening the bandage.
"Your sister was indeed a troublemaker." Hallie replied.
"Come on are you really on my side Hallie." I frowned.
"Where's your bracelet?" Dominique suddenly asked in a serious voice.
"I l-lost it." I said in a low tone.
Dominique didn't utter a word and left without looking at me.
I wanted to stop him but no words came out from my mouth.
Of course, he'll be mad knowing that I lost it because of my stubbornness.
"This is bad." I blurted in frustration.
"Well then I'll be leaving Lady Sue my comrade Lois will definitely waiting for me." She said.
"I'll see you at the Mid-class area Hallie." I said.
She nodded and left.
I really need to look for that bracelet where did I even lost-
"That man!"
Raizel Von Lochs POV
I was left dumbfounded by the woman earlier why do I feel that this scene is so familiar.
I felt a hard stuff in my wrist it was a rose gold chain with small roses around it.
"What's this?" I thought.
"That looks unique where did you get that?" Gin asked.
"I guess from that crazy woman earlier." I replied looking at it.
"I guess the old guy was telling the truth." Gin blurted.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I saw his waist chain its quiet impressive he bragged it at the meeting and told me to check it out. Can I check the chains tag?" He asked.
I handed the bracelet to him besides Gin is more knowledgeable regarding about jewelries.
"01? This might be the first design based on the number. Why did I thought its the first design? I saw Sir Raven's tag number its 02." He said while trying to remember something.
"Do you happen to know where did he receive the chains?" I added.
"Hold on I think he mentioned about the Marquis?" He said in a questionable tone.
As always this guy isn't trustworthy about information all he knows was to sleep and watch on his precious pearls.
"You mean Marquis De Morse? I saw sir Isaac wearing the same one but it was made of gold. He was so proud telling his men that his son made it for him." Sir Caleb interrupted.
"Now I remember the Marquis owned a shop right? But those are clothes how come they have jewelries now?" Gin said.
He actually got a point did grandfather knew about this? If not it would be a termination of Alliance.
I'll be handed with another work load again if that actually happens.
"Stop freaking out his highness Gin you actually got it wrong. His Daughter owned the Jewelry shop called DSDM I actually manage to grab a limited edition ring look." He said showing an engagement ring.
"Wait! Are you finally going to propose at Lady Aria??!" Gin exclaimed pointing at Caleb.
"Your finally going to settle down? Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.
"Knowing you all you know was to follow your curiosity." Caleb answered.
Am I like that?
I saw them nodded like they new what I'm actually thinking.
"Fine, when is the wedding?" I asked.
"At pearl season." Caleb said.
"I should definitely try to accept Viscount Raven's idea I think that Lady Sue would be a great partner with my pearl business. You know the one you saved that day the Marquis daughter?" Gin answered all of my thoughts.
Is he a mind reader or something?
"I know, how is she doing lately?" I asked.
"Why are you worried?" Gin blurted.
"Your starting to be talkative Gin it gives me creeps." I said.
"Whatever." He replied.
Just look at this two when we are out of the palace.
I kept the jewelry in my pocket and became serious.
Regarding about the spiral brooch Hallie provided me some informations.
"This one is a mid-class this might belong to a noble rank in East Cove Kingdom. Maybe you should ask that woman earlier who knows they might meet again."
Now it makes sense the woman earlier must be a noble for having this thing.
"I think we should visit the Marquis." I grinned.
