While I was pressing my paws on the wound I could feel my father's body tissues reconnect together, searching his snout I find a strange mocking smile on it.
"I...heal...fast" he says in that strange language and when in the end I rose my paws, I found out that the wound was completely healed, just a small scar was left.
I wasn't sure how healing and recovery worked in this word, and honestly, I was having a little fear that my knowledge of medicine would prove unuseful.
In my past life, I spent most of my time studying, just to reach the doctorate and make my family proud of me, and now, after that much time spent alone in my apartment, leaving behind everything that mattered in life...
I felt an awful feeling scorching the center of my chest so as a mechanism of defense I just stopped thinking about those things.
After my nerves and adrenalin rush disappeared, I realized that I almost lost most of my stamina just by doing this combination of things, pressing a wound, using that skill... all of that turned out to be one of the most tiring things I did since the first day in this world.
Before going to sleep I wanted to analyze my father and my mother, but my stamina wasn't high enough, with that I understood that probably the skills consumed stamina to work.
In the end, I went near my mother's abdomen and started to yawn profusely while drinking some milk.
It was strange, I wasn't tired mentally if that makes sense, but my body felt as tired as if I had a very busy shift at the hospital.
While thinking about the hunters that my dad mentioned I started to feel sleepy, probably thanks to the warm milk in my tummy, and not much time later I fell asleep.
And again I fall in a sort of quiet routine, waking up, drinking milk, playing with my siblings and sleeping, like this another two weeks went by, the life of a pup was the best, yet boring, lifestyle I had since I can remember...
In these two weeks, I started to grow more and more, when first I entered this world I was no bigger than a human palm, now I was probably big like a... dog pup? Well, bigger than before at least... Still, compared to my siblings I was smaller and sick-looking.
Also, I managed to level up the Analyze skill to its next level by using it repeatedly on the things around me, I found out that if my siblings were normal foxes, our parents weren't, apparently, they were what is called a soul beast or more commonly monster for the folks, oh... yes, the comprehension of the common monster language reached its fourth level

"The hunters camp moved closer to our den, we should really move from here, I know that this den it's the one we build together for our first puppies, but now..." said my father to my mother, she whined in reply and started to lick us while trying to relax.

'Woah... did my stamina and hp went up? and now what to do with the stats points...' I still wasn't very sure how to put the new stats points I've received that another window overlapped with the status chart

'Hunters...' I thought worried, I closed the warning window, and then I finally decided on how to dispense the stats.

I selected in the status, almost at the same time I confirmed my choice I've noticed that my Stamina and Health went up again, I was starting to understand better how the stats would affect me...

Agility was the stat that quantified my speed and physical ability like running, Strenght was about the muscular power my muscles could generate and the defense was the toughness of my body... or something very close to these for now.
To my delusion, I saw that the stamina growth up didn't refill the stamina but just enhanced its maximum, when I was still distracted by the system window and my thoughts I noticed that my mum was standing up and my dad the same, I closed the window and I saw my siblings following my parents to the entrance of the den.
At my slow pace I did the same, the forest was... Breathtaking, the moon was high in the sky and the faint white light coming from it was shaping all the surroundings, the plants weren't very dense and passing through them wasn't that difficult, but well, keeping up with my siblings and parents was something different.
My stamina was...just too little, after what seemed a very short time to be exhaustion, I fainted.
When my eyes opened I saw that I was alone, I was laying very close to a tree and my mouth was very dry, I also felt somewhat light-headed 'Damn... I didn't reincarnate just to die like this' I thought.
I was starting to understand what the sickly pup title probably referred to, and while I was insulting probably half of what existed I started to paw around searching for some water.
I couldn't find any, dehydration... one of the most awful states a baby or a cub could encounter, my body was just too heavy, I was starting to lose hope when I finally found something.
It was the body of a dead squirrel... the pull of my survival sense was too strong and in the end, even if it was disgusting and a little smelly, I took my ods, hoping not to get any disease, and started to munch the tender skin around the neck.
My weakened jaws weren't strong enough to pierce through the skin, but somehow I managed to make a wound and I started to drink upon the blood of the dead squirrel.

Once the blood started to flow in my belly and I started to absorb the liquids and my state of dehydration passed, finally, I could stand properly, now my second worry showed up in my mind.
'How will I manage to find my family? Damn... I'm still a pup, I'm too young to die...'
I start to bolt my head sideways, then after I was sure the surroundings were clear I started to eat the dead squirrel, the meat was awfully tasteless, I could feel a strange vinegary smell, the body probably was starting to rot.

I noticed that while I was eating I was receiving some exp, and after a while, I bit on something hard that wasn't a bone for sure.
After checking on my stamina, which strangely enough was completely recovered, I used the Analyze skill on the squirrel, then on the strange object, which after spitting it out I realized was a small irregular glass-like purple sphere.
