"Master, it's beyond what we all thought twould be or it is."
The indifferent guy who had been there for the leader of the pack said as he dropped the corpse of the leader on the floor.
The other guy was behind him but couldn't look into the eyes of the Monarch.
Easy enough, the Monarch could sense that something was wrong. He could make his hypotheses.
But he wasn't such man. He was a man of proof. Admit it or be made to admit.
"Is this what you want me to say to the 92 citizens of this fort?"
The Monarch said. He was all by himself with the three.
None of the chiefs were present yet. His attendants had gone to summon the chiefs. In a while they should be at his palace.
"By the way, what happened to your leader?"
The Monarch said pointing at the corpse. The unconscious draw of the fellow.
"A suicide."
The other guy behind the indifferent one said. He seemed to be using his brain at that moment. Probably the death of the leader had soothed his rage.
"Igoh, make me understand. Don't make a fool of me. Speak in details."
The Monarch tore the words out sharing them in rage and comportments to the two fellows standing.
Igoh was the indifferent fellow. The guy who had been supportive of the leader of the group.
"I killed him, master."
The other guy said. But before Igo could counter what he had said and explain everything to the Monarch, a call from behind crushed everything.
"The killer must be killed of course."
One of the chiefs with protruding belly emerged. Followed by the protruding bellied lots.
Their caps were made from the skins of cheetah and each cap had a feather to its right.
"Why would he kill in the first place?"
The last man of the seven said. They all entered and had their seats on the stools arranged in rows before the throne of the Monarch.
Technically, the two guys were standing in the aisle.
"He should be killed too."
The first chief added to what he had said earlier, paying no attention to neither the guys nor the chief who had spoken earlier.
He held the Monarch in his gaze, removed his cap and bowed, while the rest of the men did the same.
"Welcome, but leave this to me."
The Monarch said as the chiefs put their caps on again.
It was quite odd to them. Like a slap in their faces but they've dealt with such over and over again.
Igo heaved a sigh of relief. He was glad that he had everything back under control.
"Allow me, Master."
He said while the Monarch waved him to continue speaking.
"Hava had been brainwashed by the monsters."
"Another claptrap."
One of the chiefs interrupted.
But the Monarch said nothing in attestation, therefore Igo could continue.
"I have no idea how possible that was but he tricked us into signing a treaty with the monsters and be like their slaves. He stabbed one of our men who died, he lost tons of blood. The Manganis took two with them and one escaped on his own will. The three of us had a narrow escape but were held up in a long argument about the efficiency of the leader. The leader could not stand the shame of not returning with the six he left the village with, so he excused himself and went ahead to commit suicide. We carried the corpse and were headed home but were too wearied and couldn't help it but collapsed. But there was another Mangani, who assisted us and bore us to the borders of the village and left."
He stopped talking. He felt exhausted.
He looked at his back, none of the Chiefs seemed to had believed his narration. He looked back at the Monarch, the Monarch seemed to had made quite the sense of it.
The Monarch spoke,
"Guards, take away the corpse and nourish the two. We should have a second hearing and determine what to do."
The Guards were dressed halfways; Only animal skins covering the fall of their waists to the rise of their knees.
They looked harmless but you don't want to mess with them. They fight with anything and everything.
The bore the three guys away while the Monarch turned to the murmurs of the chiefs.
He sure knew how to handle them.
Point in time, his adviser would come.
