Once on the island he starts to look around to see if any creature has already claimed it as part of their territory. The island has quite a few trees along the rim of the island, creating a wall of trees which would make it hard to large creatures to get past without leaving a trail of broken trees.
In the middle of the island, there is an open area with a single giant tree in the middle. Under the roots of the tree is a small pond of light green liquid. He has already checked the edges and has seen nothing so he checks the middle only to find the giant tree.
He uses analysis on the giant tree but it turns out to just be an extremely rare species of mortal tree, but either way he takes a bunch of small branches to be grown since it looks so nice.
He then checks out the green liquid under the tree which also disappointed him as its only tree sap from the mortal tree and only has uses as herbal aromas but still takes samples.
Being disappointed there where no treasures he decides the final place he should check would be up in the tree to see if there is anything hidden or maybe even a monster's nest hidden somewhere.
3 quarters of the way up the main truck split off into 4 parts which houses a giant bird's nest. Looking at the birds nest he sees a single unhatched egg in the middle completely exposed to the hard cold wind with its white and silver colour blending in with the snow perfectly.
The bird's nest is covered in at least a meter of snow and beneath the snow is what looks like a combination on trees, boulders and dirt. Fen Chang was slightly worried seeing trees being used as a replacement for sticks due to its size. He doesn't want to get caught in an attack when he was up a tall tree, the fall would kill him instantly and the branches reduce his manoeuvrability.
He stays hidden in a near by snow pile on a branch and analysis's the nest to see if it can identify which birds create nests like this. Seeing the possible results, he relaxes as one of the results is the snow falling dove.
'Man, that had me worried for a second. Fighting up here would be very disadvantageous for me but I had already guessed that this would be the dove's nest but I should double check by analysing the egg.'

'Damn so this is defiantly the nest of the dove from a little bit ago. Who would have thought it would leave me such a good present before it died. Diluted ice phoenix, diluted silver phoenix, an innate ability, grows into a rank 5 when grown up. Damn this is like the best pet I could ask for at this point in time.
Its also and egg meaning it will be easier to tame, and when it becomes powerful enough hopefully it can become a super gorgeous beautiful woman. For now, I shouldn't rush things though, the dove from earlier was the female but what about the male. Either there isn't one or it is currently out of the nest right now.
Although I want to wait, I also want to take the egg since I want to put a seal on it before it hatches since the database only said soon. Let's risk it, I can crawl under the snow. I only have to touch the egg with my finger before leaving and storing it in my inner world.'
He quickly went onto the nest and berried himself under the-meter-deep snow layer on the nest. He wiggled his way through the snow like a worm trying not to cause any movement to the snow above.
He carefully controlled his Qi to compress the snow around him without moving the snow above, creating a tunnel for him to escape from without having to dig back out.
It didn't take long before he reached the snow-white egg. The egg was a mysterious snow-white colour with silver veins on it. He touched his finger on the egg shell and sent a slave seal towards the unborn dove.
Due to it still being unborn and weak he easily applied the seal and made it think of Fen Chang as its father, brother and lover for when it gets human form. He then quickly stored it within the new cold area that has taken shape within his inner world as the egg requires immense amounts of ice Qi to hatch. The more it absorbs before birth the more potential it will have when older.
Once the egg was gone, a snow creator was all that was left from where the egg was resting. Fen Chang swiftly turned around and went back through the tunnel. Once out he quickly made his way down the tree and went to the location, he selected to make camp at.
The location he chose was just a little away from the tree which was near a very small stream of pure clean water that hasn't yet frozen over. He got to the location and then started setting up came while also listening out for bird noises in case there was a male dove nearby.
After setting up his camp with a chair, a place for him to do exercise and just clearing the debris on the floor he decides to practice underwater combat in freezing conditions.
This will be especially dangerous as there is a thick layer or ice preventing him from getting air all the time since he doesn't plan to use his tool to help him last longer underwater and instead just by his natural oxygen supply which he is hoping to expand and train.
Going on top of the ice he pulls out a sharp spiky shovel and starts to chip away at the thick ice, eventually getting to the water beneath it. The gap he makes is a 4-meter diameter circle with a lantern hanging just barely under water to see the entrance location.
Fen Chang is staring at the water feeling a bit nervous. He is planning to jump into below freezing water without extra oxygen and plans to fight monsters. He then also doesn't plan to attach himself to a rope to help, so he can't find his way back easily. Also, since the ice is preventing the sun from reaching deep, the water is almost pitch black. He could very easily lose his way and suffocate from lack of oxygen.
He has backups obviously, if its extreme situation he will go to his inner world for air or safety but he is still nervous. Calming down his nerves he steels his resolve since he knows if he comes out of this fine without having to rely on his inner world his confidence and resolve will gain a major boost along with his survivability.
So being completely naked he jumps into the cold water. Instantly ice Qi rushes into his body. Ice Qi is known for being extremely harmful and borderline poisonous but due to his long-term exposure and special cultivation technique the ice Qi although causing him pain is readily being absorbed by his own Qi slowly strengthening his own ice Qi and becoming purer.
Due to his training his mind he didn't panic for as long as he normally would, and in only a few seconds he gained control over his body again. He took a deep breath, so deep he felt as if his lungs would explode but he persisted and kept on breathing in air, forcing it to compress within his lungs.
When filled past their limit he dives down in search of some weak rank 1 beasts, preferably in the early stage so he can get practice in before going against middle stage beasts.
After 15 minutes of swimming, he can start to feel he is almost out of air and swiftly starts swimming back to the surface. Due to not going too deep he is still able to see the light and safely made his way back to the opening.
He then took another deep breath and went under again. He repeated this for hours upon hours, swimming no more than 5 meters deep in the lake looking for weak creatures that are near the surface.
By the time he stopped it was already night and the visibility in the water was even lower with even the water directly next to the ice being near pitch black. Deciding to call it a night he heads back to his camp in order to rest.
When he got back, he had some dinner before going onto his makeshift bed in order to rest his body. Before sleeping he had a sudden idea pop up in his head about how to train his lung capacity.
Going through the memories from his past life he looks upon an anime where they relied on breathing and having a large lung capacity. Although knowing that it was fictional and it wouldn't have the same effect, he still wants to give it a try since he now lives in a fictional world.
Remembering what they do he tries breathing in a similar manner. Trying to control his breathing, taking long deep breaths that fill his lungs before slowly releasing the air.
He finds its difficult at first but quickly gets the hand of it. At first, he didn't notice any difference, so he decides to try a few different ways using the database's information to note down failures and suggest new ways of doing it.
By the time it was morning he had finally found a way to replicate the breathing. Although he doesn't get the same effect, he can still feel his body being more energised than normal and his lung capacity a little bigger than before. Even his Qi absorption was increased slightly
Just as he finished breakfast and was ready to go into the lake again, he hears a loud ear-piercing screech coming from the giant tree. Turning around to check it out he sees a giant silver-white bird that was at least 5 times the size as the dove from yesterday.
'Damn there is no way this is the father, right? This thing is at least the size of 6 giant trucks, the dove yesterday was only around the size of 1 big truck. Also, the pressure its releasing. This bird is defiantly low rank 4. Why the fuck is a rank 4 beast coming here and looking directly at where the dove had its nest. First I should hide in my inner world since I don't want it to attack me.'
Fen Chang while in his inner world just watched as the giant bird landed on the tree and looked over towards the dove's nest. Seeing nothing but snow the giant bird screeched even louder than before, the ice on the lake started to shatter and the smaller trees on the island got blown away.
The screech clearly contained a large amount of anger. A clear sign for Fen Chang that this bird was clearly the father. What confused him now was why a rank 4 beast for be interested in a grade 1. There are only a few options he can think of; one is that the rank 4 beast was after a child with a bloodline by using the dove and its ancestry to combine with its own. The second is that the grade 3 used to be grade 1 and it grew powerful and the dove was some sort of sweetheart from its weak days. The last is that the dove was a concubine or some side chick and he is angry someone touched his woman or something.
The reason he thinks the side chick is most likely is because if he was after the bloodline or the two where sweethearts he would bring her and the egg to a safer place in the inner zone instead of here. Since he left her here, he might not want his main bird girl to find out.
The bird flew into rage and started destroying lots of things in the area and killed lots of weak surrounding monsters to vent its anger. Eventually it returned in the direction it came leaving destruction everywhere it went.
Seeing its now clear Fen Chang doesn't care much for the destruction and goes back into the lake to continue his training. In fact, he is slightly thankful to the bird because now the ice covering the lake is gone with only small chunks of ice left.
So, training his breathing underwater and trying to look for weak creatures to fight it takes many hours before he manages to finds his first target.
