Chapter 28 - Chapter 27: Possessiveness

After getting what I needed I walk out the alley with a black duffle bag. I get back to find Nick still fearful of what I said before.

His head was buried into his neck and he had sunglasses on covering half his face. I tap his car window and motion for him to get out.

He creaks open the door, " Done?"

" Yeah. We're gonna switch cars, so wake'em up."

I open the back seat door. I gather Alexander into my arms and carry him to the new car, parked a few feet away.

He barely got 4 hours of sleep last night. No, not because of me. He was nervous and tense because of today's mission, so I want him to get some rest right now before we finish the last phase.

" Hmm." Alexander groggily sighs on my neck. His head tilted, brushing his cherry lips on my collar bone. A pleasant shiver courses through me. He continues rubbing his forehead on me, trying to wake up.

I unlock the new car enter the back seat with him on my lap.

" Go back to sleep, baby." I whisper in his ear as I gently rub circles on his back.

"Mmm." He falls right back to sleep. A minute later, I get out the car.

Nick had woken up Sophia and Riley already. They were carrying their own bags, walking to the new car.

" Here." Nick and I exchange car keys.

I take the old car, the Ford, to a car scraper and sold it for a couple thousand. I took a taxi back to the apartment.

In the duffle bag I bought from Jack, were tools to clean up any physical trace we could have left behind, such as hair and fingerprints. I wiped down the common places we touched during our stay, cleaned the drain in the bathroom, cleared out the kitchen and bedrooms, and collected all trash we left behind. I then poured the chemicals I used for cleaning down the sink. As for the garbage, I distributed it through the neighborhood.

All traces of us were taken care of in less than two hours. I then head to a car shop to buy another car for my use. I don't use Oliver's money, I use my own. I've been collecting a shit ton of money as I traveled the worlds.

As I'm driving to Johnathan's company, Alexander mentally asks me, ' Oliver, are you done yet? I'm getting hungry waiting for you.' I could imagine him pouting his cherry lips cutely.

' I'm parking right now, baby. I'll be right there.'

' I'll come down to get you.' He chirps back.

' Okay.'

I enter the building and wait for Alexander in the large lobby.

Coming out the elevator, a smile blooms on his face as soon as he saw me. He jogs up to me. He brought up hands as if to reach out to hug me. In response I spread my arms to welcome him but...

He freezes as a group of people walked by.

He awkwardly puts his hands back down and rubs the back of his neck. I was left with my arms in the air.

He mutters, " Uhh, we were watching the banquet from the connected building. The FBI are on their way right now, so we have about 15 minutes to eat breakfast."

I stay silent, and sit on the leather chair near me.

" Um, let's go?" He awkwardly shifts at his feet, pointing in the direction he came from.

" Come here." My husky voice rings out with command. I feel a bit irritated.

" Wh-where to?" He steps back blushing.

I point to the other chair in front of me. " That chair. Where else?" I raise an eyebrow at him.

He clears his throat and goes to sit. He looks like a frightened rabbit waiting for punishment.

" Minjoon."

" Yes?" He fiddles with hands, peeking at my expression through his bangs.

I lean my head back and look at the ceiling. He has a shy nature with things like affection. I have to wait until he's comfortable enough.

" Sigh. Let's stay here for a minute."

" ...Why?"

" Nick and the rest are coming down."

" What happened?"

At that moment Nick, Sophia, and Riley exit the elevator. Once they spot us, they head towards us.

" Hey guys. The IRS crashed the party. FBI's also here." Nick says once near us.

" I see." Alexander nods in understanding.

" They're a bit early, too bad. I wanted to watch that shit go down." Riley goes to sit near Alexander.

" Well, I guess we're done now, right?" Sophia softly sighs.

" Yeah..." Alexander says.

" It was a one time show." Nick nods crossing his arms. He glances at Sophia, before looking away.

" I was able to learn what it's like to be in a team, so thanks guys. But it's time for me to go since I've already got my money." Riley gets up. Waving us bye she walks out the door.

I get up after her.

" It was a decent team. Goodbye." I turn away.

" Huh? Wait, Oliver!" Alexander runs after me to the parking lot after quickly saying his goodbyes to Nick and Sophia.

He pulls at my sleeve. " Are you mad at me?" His eyebrows scrunch up.

" No." I keep walking towards my car. I pull the passenger door open for him. " Get in."

I watch as he nervously gets in. He glances at me, fidgeting.

I sigh as I lean down to buckle him up. I grab the belt and lock it in. Alexander flinches as I look him in the eye. It's his first time seeing me angry, or rather holding in anger.

" Relax." I ruffle his curly locks as I step back and close his door. I walk to the other side and get in.

" ???" Alexander looks at me with confusion as I start up the car.

" What?" I drive out the parking lot and start speeding on the highway.

" I feel like... you're mad, or maybe sad?"

" Do you want me to be angry?" I glance at him.

" No." He shakes his head anxiously. " But..."

" Minjoon. Just drop it, please." He makes a hurt face when I say this. He bites his lower lip, and lowers his head.

Ah, damn it.

I reach over to hold his chin. Turning him towards me, I gently coax him. " Sweetheart, it's me that's the problem, okay? Not you, so don't worry. Just give me a minute to calm down and then I'll be good to go."

He grabs my hand and brings it up to his cheek. He rubs his face on my palm like a puppy.

" Neither of us is the problem. I've never been in a relationship before but I know communication is necessary. So talk to me, tell me whatever you feel. I'll accept all of you." He firmly states as his teary eyes show his plea.

" Sigh. It's just... that I'm a very possessive person. I want to constantly keep you by my side." I lower my hand on his cheek to hold his neck.

" Hnhh..." He exhales shivering as I tightened my hold on his neck. I can feel his heart beat speed up under my palm. He leans forward, exposing more of his neck to my touch.

" I want to mark you, right here-" I run my thumb over his Adam apple. " -as mine, so that no other bug sets their eye on you. I want to be able to spoil you in public without you getting conscious of others staring at us. I know that'll take time, but don't make me wait too long-" Or I'll end up doing something dangerous. I narrow my eyes at him, giving off an aura of pressure.

A second later I retraced my aura and let go his neck in fear of scaring him.
