"Are you going to kill me?"
The little girl said after Mr. Bodyguard hung up the phone. She had heard his words, but not the one from the other side.
"No…" Mr. Bodyguard sighed… "That was never the plan."
"Then…"
"I will take you with me, to your house. Everything is already done."
Beth raised a brow. She didn't understand what was the meaning of those words, but she knew something.
The one behind the kidnapping was not her enemy. He could even be someone who had tried to help her.
After all, if that man were really to harm her, then he wouldn't have killed those who poisoned her food. He would have let them continue without many thoughts. Or at least, send them a warning, but not killed them like that.
From what Beth heard, it was a gruesome situation, however, she didn't feel any pity. They didn't deserve it.
